    The epoxy style buzzers are often especially the flexi floss types are often over heavy on the dressing more like grubs than buzzers. This one is perfect. Thin and still gets down quickly. Personally I like to use them with a midge or sink tip line, either one down from the top dropper or one up from the point fly. Down to a sixteen in difficult conditions on a 200 or 260 pattern. In black red claret or olive

    Another great video Lindsay - many thanks! Just wondering what UV torch do you use…? I’ve got new batteries in my torch but still can’t get the resin to set hard properly….. it just stays tacky.. any pointers..?

    Heres another question. What is the purpose of the superglue and resin, does it just protect the dressing or does it look like a bubble of air? Tight lines

    • @lindsayiflyfish
      @lindsayiflyfish  ปีที่แล้ว

      Two fold really it adds a nice sheen to the fly and protects the dressing.

    Nice tie, why do you use Super glue then cover that with Uv resin, can't you just use one or the other?

    • @lindsayiflyfish
      @lindsayiflyfish  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can but superglue is cheap and resin is not 🤷‍♂️

    Hi Lindsay. One question: what's the diference using this kind of hook (straight shank) and curved? When use each one? Best regards from this fan from Portugal.

    • @lindsayiflyfish
      @lindsayiflyfish  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I tend to use straight when I am going to retrieve the flies. Curved if I am fishing static.

      @@lindsayiflyfish any reason for that choice? Or is just what you feel comfortable to use!

      @@jorgearaujoflyfishing Not sure there is any foundation in science but I feel that when retrieving the curved hooks that they tend to spin more wrapping the droppers around the leader. It might well just be a confidence thing.

      Normal black floss would do although you won’t get the tapered segmented effect, although doubt it makes much difference with this fly imho.
