  • The first tour of Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge got underway in Canada's Capital city of Ottawa.
The official welcome ceremony took place at Rideau Hall, with the Canadian Prime Minister and Governor General in attendance.
His Royal Highness took time to walk amongst the crowds, and inspected the Honour Guard connecting with decorated members of the Canadian forces before addressing the crowd.
He even dabbled in both of Canada's official languages, testing out his French on the crowd.
And the Duchess didn't disappoint the onlookers, as she lived up to her growing reputation as a trend setter and style leader.
With the official arrival in Ottawa complete, the royal couple looks forward to nine more days of an itinerary that will showcase Canada's cultures and geography, from East to North to West.
And coming up tomorrow, its party time as the couple plans to partake in the often lively Canada day celebrations, marking the country's 44th birthday.

Come back sometime if Harper happens to lose the next election (unlikely, however), and when it improves again, then you might like it even more.

How much money did we spend on that? Millions upon millions... why... No wonder the Frenchies are angry about this.
