Hey thanks brother! My first truck is still in the box so that was some good insight on how things were supposed to work. You guys that know what you're doing should make more videos like these for us that don't know what we're doing yet. Thanks again brother!
Thing's indestructible unless you shift under load. Shame they're so long. Can't use the one that came with my Globe Liner. Will save it for another build in the future. I'm putting a Toyan SOHC in the Globe and I had to use a LESU 3-speed in order to get enough distance between the trans output shaft and the first drive axle to get a driveshaft into it.
I have a seprate reduction gearbox between the wheels and the original gearbox works great. It is available from Carson for tamiya euro trucks and American
I'm planning on gearing my man tgx 6x4 down. I'd like to use all three gears so going to experiment with planetary gear reduction. Have you done anything like that?
Can you give me some help please bud....I have the 3363 actros and the t5 you have but I'm having problems and I am new to this . When I have the left stick to the left which should be low gear I have nutral when I acclerate I hear the MFC noise but no movement until the stick is in the middle or far right then it moves ....is there any help or advise u can give to point me in the right direction
Hi. Thats an interesting look at the box but i have one question. When you have to shift it when its on the road do you have to keep power constant or ease off as you change? How forgiving is it when you gear change?
I always lock my trucks into first gear but I do have one unlocked which I shift on the go and I've never had any issues.. In all honesty the third gear is way to much for these trucks, the gears are tough nylon and very strong 👍
@@scotty555babe To be fair... I've run a Freightliner from BC to Newfoundland to Texas for fifteen years. If you've got it completely unfettered, and you're screaming along, flat out in top gear... Yeah it's usually way too much with the real thing, too. But how does it feel when you back off a bit in top gear, and save the extra whallop for when you really need it?
@@NutjobGTO when you're backing off it's more throttle control.. If you just let off.. The cab tends to brake itself and the trailer momentum usually carries on potentially jack knifing the cab, but if you let off lightly it's usually fine 👍
Your trim settings on the servo may have been adjusted without realising, causing the gearbox arms to be misaligned.. I don't use these gearboxes in my trucks as there is no need for the 3 gears, I always use a lesu planetary single speed 👍👍
Hi, I am thinking of getting one of this scaled RC truck myself. Weeks of research and I found a great site with a combo deal for a cab unit + mfc01 at a good price. My question is this a good hobby to take up? and how durable are this kits? They demand high prices hence my questions. Hope someone can answer.

Thanks, I can happily do more videos on the mechanics of parts, I'm glad it was of interest to you 😀
I love these gearboxes, marvels of miniaturised engineering!!!
thank you that was very therapeutic I love being able to know exactly what's going on with my transmission at all time
Your welcome, glad you found it of use 😊
I tried removing the spring at each end of the selector rod, found it is easier on the servo, doesn't have to fight those springs in 1st or 3rd gear
I never use the 3 gears I usually lock mine in second or first, but that's a great tip for people who do who are using a standard servo 👍
That is a great tip! It would help keep the Servo from constantly fighting Spring pressure.
@@scotty555babe hi mate l'm new to this and just got the Scania R620, how do you lock the transmission into 1 gear?
That was awesome! Thanks!
Nice! Thanks for the demonstration.
Your welcome
I prefer to put the shifter servo on a three position switch. It is easier to operate the Throttle that way.
I never use the 3 gears, I always lock into first or second and run planetary on others also
Great video, this is my next hobby
Under normal use when running the truck, do you shift on the fly or do you have to slow way down to shift ? Thanks
Please prepare a video on its open gears and explain its all principle of working ( in detail ) please sir........

Very good 👏👏👍
👍👌😊
Good
Like from Ukraine. 👍
It would be cool if the gears in the engine block were made of metal, and not plastic.
They can be upgraded

Reduction gearboxes are great, loads more torque 👌
Can I ask which servo have you personally used for steering and for the shifting?
How long do plastic gears last, is it worth making a bearing, it is not recommended to change at high speed? Thanks.
I've never had an issue with the gearbox, I keep it locked in the lowest gear, I never use the different speeds as its too quick for a truck 👍
If the truck is not shifting properly. What are some of the causes.
Hi, great video. but is there any video for 4x4?

Interesting.thanks
I'll be doing another gearbox demo soon on a running truck so it can be seen working while in action 😊
Hi mate great video just started building Scania what do you put in your gearbox oil or the grease provided in kit. Thanks
Boa tarde ! onde comprar esse motor com engrenagens ?

Why does my gear box disconnect when i use the turn stick (steering)it sounds it is not engaging like a slipped cog .it is on a KNIGHT HAULER

It's an awesome hobby, but it's down to your personality whether you enjoy it or not 👍
How to build that gearbox. Please give us some tutoriale
nice.who is your supplier for those nice gears?
They came in the kit 👍
you only have power to one wheel...?
That's because the differential is unlocked, once a trailer is on giving traction then they'll all move 👌
como posso conceguir esse quite de ingranagem
How can I assemble this one?
Please provide a assembling video
i want to buy this gear box.plz give me a link that gearbox
