  • In this episode of Ride With Us, Best In Vegas series, we travel to the Las Vegas Wetlands Park area where there are 21 miles of mostly paved bike trails. The Las Vegas Creek Wetlands Loop Trail is and easy level, moderately trafficked, bike trail that features a river, lake, wildlife, many covered rest and bathroom facilities and exceptional scenic views of the Las Vegas valley. The elevation gains are only about 669 ft and gradual so it is great for all skill levels. Although I was on an eBike, I pedaled 16 of the 18 miles we rode without any battery assistance. Melanie pedaled the entire trail with no eBike.
    * Note - The river crossing that you see on the thumbnail and video can be avoided with an alternate route that we were not aware of until after we completed the ride.

THE BIKERIDEZ STORY & MISSION :
This is a channel about electric mountain bike riding for regular people. We are not hardcore mountain bike riders. If you are looking to see trail videos where the riders drop off 5,000 ft mountains at 45° angles you are in the wrong place (at least for now). We are full-time professionals who live in Henderson Nevada which is about 20 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip. Most of the videos you will see on this channel feature bike trails around the Las Vegas valley.
Although we thoroughly love riding our e-mountain bikes for exercise and adventure, bike riding is our primary form of meditation and stress relief. Our bike rides allow for a few hours without our laptops, and without our phones where we can stay focused on being in the moment. Just like meditation and yoga, when we bike ride, we focus on our breathing, we push our bodies to feel more, and, we get to see some of the most spectacular scenic landscapes, sunsets and wildlife that the Mojave dessert has to offer.
Whether you are a Las Vegas local or visiting from any where in the world, our hope is that with these videos we will encourage you to take advantage of the extensive Nevada bike trail system.

Wetlands is always a great time. Depending how much we want to ride will either park at the Boulder and tropicana entrance or park over on the Hollywood dirt road entrance. We take long range electric scooters for the kids and ebikes for us and usually go after 5pm to catch them nice evening sunsets and ride back in darkness, its fun and feels cool even during the hot summers. We enjoy riding in the dark with nothing but bike lights and the vegas lights out in the distance. Only downside is u gotta watch out for them sudden gusts, it can get pretty crazy if u get caught in a wind storm, lots of dirt and almost no protection from the wind means a heck of a ride trying to get back to the truck. Would definitely recommend though!

Yes I seems weird but you have to remember we get our water from the Colorado river which is dammed right outside of Las Vegas.

We road that trail again a couple of months ago. The main issue is that the trail is listed everywhere , including the NV state website as a Loop. It’s not a loop unless you cross over that section shown on the home page. It should be listed as an out and back trail …

@@BikeRidez Ha! There should be an asterisk on the description. I used to cross but now just ride back…not worth the risk imo
