This man is a legend and played with legends. I hear he's teaching music now; it behooves you to treat him with utmost respect as he has achieved many good things in the past!

A truly revealing interview behind the inception of Nine Inch Nails. Even though it wouldn't have all worked without Trent's unprecedented lyrical brilliance, now we know that probably half of the genius and unique sound behind NIN came from this man. All those countless hours sampling and arranging unique sounds and programming drums perfectly complemented their early creations. He didn't even take proper credit for any of it. After all he wasn't in it for the fame or some ego trip. It's too bad this friendship didn't hold, or NIN would have made even more masterpieces. No wonder then, that the first few NIN albums still are their best and most profound work to date. Respect and hats off to Chris Vrenna!

Whomever this person is, he DOES NOT KNOW TRENT OR THE NINE INCH NAILS.
He is DEFINITELY NOT our close friend Chris Vrenna.

There's now an interview Trent did with Rick Rubin where he called Chris his "good friend, drummer, and confidant" who "kept [him] sane" during the recording of the PHM demos.
It made my cold black heart grow three sizes.

Chris then said, "You guys wanna do a line before I talk for non-stop AGAIN for part II of this interview?"

Poor Chris. During the TDS recordings Trent would have him go to the game store to pick up the latest video game and then Trent would play it for hours on end and not let Chris have a go.

Nin was just industrial for the masses, they took what bands like Skinny Puppy, throbbing gristle, big black did ,packaged in with pop music and became mainstream popular
