At this point I am convinced people are more interested in modding Skyrim than the actual storyline

damn dude, this looks way better than witcher 3 next gen, like holy hell this looks good, and from the footage it looks like it runs well, but you do have a freaking 4090 so i get why.
i know you recorded this in 4k but i'm certain you used 8k textures. skyrim modders have been doing this for years now.

Looks good. I just put out a video of riverwood and whiterun today and solitude and dragon bridge yesterday and we are using many of the same mods like Northern farmhouses, except I’m using different texture mods on mine to change it up. Great video and thanks for sharing.
I agree the game keeps getting better and better with the mods hopefully they have new adventures in the menu selection Keep them comin still the best game out there 😄🌲🌴

Nat III + Cabbage Enb is mind blowing. It genuinely feels real at moments, especially the outdoors lighting during evening/night.

Ah hell, there I was spending dozens of hours trying to make Cities of the North, JK's Skyrim, The Great Cities and that amazing Winterhold overhaul work together and mostly succeeded. Was so happy about pulling it off with a bazillion patches. That was over six months ago, took a break because my PC is 9 years old. Wanted to resume once I get my new machine and now I see all this new stuff like Northern Farmhouses that looks even better that the Cities of the North version of Falkreath. Ughhhh.
I haven't modded Skyrim since 2015 with a GTX 970, lol. I was already completely overwhelmed with all the new mods for SE.
Guess I can start from scratch again soon. Sigh.
I have the raytracing shader but what is your reshade preset? And what is the texture you are using for the stone on the northan farmhouses?
can you share ur .ini reshade preset? or is it just immerse RTGI enabled? idk why but my RTGI has such a little effect on visuals that i feel like im doing something wrong
RTGI is heavily settings dependent, and immerseRTGI for example looks quite a bit worse and has fewer options than RTGI 0.36 for example, I would switch over if I was you. The draw distance is way further with version 0.36.1 for example and there is other stuff that is a lot better as well. Pascal downgraded immerseRTGI to make it more "user-friendly" aka easier to run for weaker tech. That's what I gathered.

I was thinking of buying Skyrim and install some mods since I've just got a new GPU.
Would you mind telling me what are the best modpack (I don't care about FPS, I just want to go all-out on graphics and maybe gameplay and other aspects) and how to install them?

really? i mean you wouldn't really be playing the game at that point lol. i mean do you just want to take pictures or something? actually what kind of GPU and graphics card do you have on your PC?
because this setup is according to hardware and a lot of mods not just a individual mod pack.
and modding though it's become much easier through out the years, it's still pretty challenging to get done right even if you have been at it for nearly a decade like myself.
however there are mod packs you can purchase through the nexus that have a much easier setup where it does most of the heavy lifting, but you still need some know how in order to set it up correctly.
this page will give you at least some idea of how to do that, but i would also look up how collections works on youtube, there are probably a bunch of tutorials out there that could show you step by step in how to get it done in just a few simple tasks to get it all running correctly.

Question for you cause I keep coming back to this video. How noticeable is the input lag when using DLSS3? Is it “playable” or can it get pretty annoying? I’m debating on whether or not to upgrade to the 4090. DLSS3 seems too much of a game changer.
There is lots of input lag in skyrim when using frame gen because the mod doesn't include nvidia reflex. Usually you would pair that with frame gen. The input lag is pretty noticeable. In terms of fps, the gains are quite massive. I go from around 30 fps to over 60 with 5160x2160 resolution. Definitely a lot smoother. The input lag just throws me off.
@@omen_apollo Thanks for explaining, there's not a lot of people talking about frame generation yet. Did you try using NVIDA Lower Latency Mode in the control panel?
I just got a 4090 so i can make use of my 4k tv, is a full playthrough viable with this amazing level of graphics quality, or should I aim a bit lower for consistent gameplay?
If you haven't already, go all out and go berserk. For what other reason, buying a 4090 in the first place? As a fellow 4090 user, I transformed my Skyrim beyond recognizable with around 800 mods at the moment. Would never change back. I rather encounter the occasional frame drop near dense city areas at times, than compromise my visual fidelity by even one inch. Zero compromises.
Any chance of a setup guide? I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get this working.

I wanted ask though since in the linked video it said you're using QW's Grass Patch 2. I'm using the same one but I can't seem to get the grass collision settings correct, always looks a bit janky on the taller Origins of the Forest "trees". Do you mind sharing your collision settings?

Omen, do you have a native resolution 5160x2160 ? If not - could you please tell me how to upscale correctly, cause atm my game doesnt fit the resolution
If you have a nvidia gpu, look for DLDSR in manage 3d settings in NCP. Set the res to 2.25x. 5160x2160 should now show up in your Windows resolutions in display settings. Make sure you set the resolution there as well. Now for skyrim, Install BethINI and set the resolution to 5160x2160. Hope this helps!

@@Mirgrowth You probably have windows scaling turned on. Right click desktop -> screen settings -> set scaling to 100%.
There is an RTGI version after the 0.17.02??? I payed maybe one year after this release and never seen an new update.
Can the shader be used with enb or nah?
Does the DLSS 3 help with the frametime? I've noticed that even with a 4090 the ENB will have erratic frametime, causing slow mouse reactions/movements.
There should be no issues with frametime. There is a lot of input lag however. Especially because nvidia reflex isnt working
an important mod to add into that issue is display tweaks, the mod basically prevents skyrims havoc physics system from limiting your fps threshold from 60 to 100, depending on your hardware and mod lists it can help with the issue of your frame rates significantly, but the mod can be a bit difficult to figure out unless you know exactly what the mod author is telling you to do, i had issues for instance when the modder said to change my control panel settings, something i have never done before which i had to find some video on youtube to figure out and even when i got it done i wasn't sure it would work out right.
eventually i got it to work, but my PC is a bit under powered, i can run ENB's, but i value my overall performance more than just how my game looks, so i chose not to use an ENB and use a color pallet that mimics the look of an ENB and a reshade to get the final touches of that look and i get over 70 to 90fps on average for my skyrim, if i used an ENB, it would have to be a light load ENB version, but idk if it's even worth it with my PC.
@@user-tp5yb4hr4w Good stuff, I'll have to check this out. One thing I forgot to do in my original post is set the enb to 'performance mode'. Seems to have made a difference.
Unless someone's got the latest hardware, I wouldn't use one probably. I'm guessing since it's not native to the game's original design, the extra enb layer adds about 4x performance penalty. At least with the enb's I've used.
Still trying to decide if it's worth it to keep it on. Turns my pc into a space heater...

but my game hardware runs as a space heater as well lol, even on my old ass GTX 970 card.
you will probably get crazy good performance with the display tweaks mod with your hardware, mine is fine, but i couldn't run with all the crazy mods your using lol, my performance would still suffer and the display tweaks probably wouldn't help if i did your set up lol.

Frame generation with DLAA looks and performs the best for me on my 4080
DLSS gives slight ghosting but nothing like Cyberpunk
How much more can this engine handle lol? Wonder if they will port Slyrim to Creation engine 2.0 after Starfield release..🤔

What you are seeing is Northern Farmhouses. It will affect all farmhouses, not just falkreath.
I have zero interest in the newest games, but I would buy a new GPU for this (with succubus bum mod).
It is seriuosly impressive how such an old game can look like with modding.
I can't put my finger on it why..but the lighting looks great in nature but kinda artificial on structures.
