Thank you, Nancy! Yes, Dharma released 3 new dye colors developed specifically for ice dyeing. They are planning on releasing 3 more next month. They are all so pretty! 😀
The alchemist one looks like the mindbender stuff I've seen all summer. And since I've heard it's hit and miss to get mindbender in stock, sounds like this is the way to go. Just beautiful.
They're all beautiful dyes! Kaleidoscope is my favorite. I do think the incline twists are truly the best way to showcase the color splits for sure Angie! Thank you again for another great tutorial!
I think these colors are all great. The Alchemist is my favorite too, but the flame shirt looks amazing. I’d like to see the flames coming straight up from the bottom on a shirt. And all the colors coming straight down from the collar if possible. That would be cool too. 👍🏻👍🏻
Aw, Man Angie! All three of these are awesome. Love all of the colors. I sure do you want to pick up these colors and give them a try for myself my favorite is the alchemist Thank you so much Angie.
It does kind of have some of the same splits. However, I am getting more yellow/lime from the Kaleidoscope than I get from Wild Garden. They are similar though. 😀
I have an extra day off this weekend, and I'm supposed to get a delivery of these dyes on Saturday. You've inspired me to take some time to lay some dye down. Thanks for showing these!
These are SO GORGEOUS! I really want to use Phoenix Flame with some autumnal colors! And Alchemist is my favorite, but that might just be because purple is my favorite color lol!
Thank you! I think Phoenix Flame would look really cool with some autumn colors. Alchemist so far seems to be the viewer favorite. I think there are a lot of other purple lovers out there! 😀
Great looking shirts, Angie, I like Alchemist the best and the shoulder twist is my favorite. I just ordered these dyes and want to do some colander dyes. Thanks for the inspiration.
Hi Angie, I can't thank you enough for doing this video. I received an email from Dharma about these new dies and wasn't sure about ordering them. well after seeing these beautiful shirts I definitely ordered them😂. in my opinion, the Phoenix flame reminds me of happy cat dragon egg And the Kaleidoscope eyes is similar to strawberry skies. but like you mentioned different material and also I find different ice meaning the water used to make the ice has a lot to do with the color split results. I have well water and I have noticed a difference from those ice cubes and store-bought. it is very interesting 🤔 as always, all the shirts were beautiful and again, thank you so much for sharing. have a great weekend!😄
Thank you so much! 😀 I really hope that you like them. I put the color swatches I made in the video as well so that you can see how they differed from the shirts. I've heard that different ice can affect the look too. Most store-bought ice is filtered so that it is nice and clear. I know that hard water can affect liquid dye so it would make sense that different ice would as well. I hope you have a great weekend too!
Great experiment! You're so right on everything! The colors, the twist, you're assessment is 100%. I really like all 3, but I do like the Alchemist better, you know, purple. How exciting that more people are getting in the game of formulating dyes specifically ice dying. Thanks again for your videos!!! 🥰🥰🥰
Thank you! 😊 Alchemist seems to be the favorite so far from the comments. I'm excited about the special ice dye colors too. I think Dharma really showed what they can do by adding so many cool colors in these.
Love this. Thank you for thos video. I received the new colors and am going to try them this weekend. They are all so good but Alchemist my favorite for now.❤
i’ve been trying to save up to get one of your beautiful tie dye dresses for about a year now. hopefully i’ll be able to buy it soon :’) i’ve loved your work for years
Hard to pick a favorite. They are all beautiful. Maybe alchemist. Love your videos and Dharma Trading Co. Next off to the Depot to find a small piece of gutter. Hopefully won't have to buy a 10-footer. Great idea on the wiffle ball.
Thank you, I think they are really cool colors too! I buy my vinyl guttering in 10 foot sections and then cut them into smaller pieces. I have a couple 5 foot pieces like I used on the middle shirt. The rest of my pieces are 2.5 feet long. 😀
When I went to buy mine I didn’t think of how long the gutter was and it wouldn’t fit in my hatchback 😂 I had to go back home and bring something to cut it with. Free comedy is everywhere!!!
Alchemist is my favorite color! I also like the Phoenix shirt, particularly with the twist direction. I do wish it had less of a greenish hue with the yellow and would have gone more in the reddish-orange direction.
Man, I just placed an order a few days before they released these, lol. I need to get my hands on them. I like the twist that starts on the shoulder. Alchemist is an awesome color.
BRB gotta order some dye. I'll come back and finish watching the video, promise (-: OK, I'm back! These shirts turned out really neat. I think Alchemist is my favorite; it reminds me of Mind Bender. I think it's funny to see how they're listed on the site, though; Alchemist is listed in the greys, Phoenix Flame is listed as a brown, and Kaleidoscope Eyes is grouped with the purples, although I guess if you mix them as liquid dyes it would make sense to describe them that way. Did you make liquid dye swatches too?
I'm glad you like them! I thought the same thing about Alchemist. I didn't make liquid dyed swatches, but it was interesting to see where Dharma placed them in their lineup. 😀
Thanks so much for your time. Was very curious. Though Dharma's swatch photos show more colors coming out on the K l don't see 'em. But gotta get some anyway. Your videos have been very helpful......Thank you so much!
Yes, with these colors they react very differently depending on the technique and fabric you use. I used the dye over the top of the ice and got a lot more yellow/lime on my shirt. I got more of the darker colors on my swatch though which was also made by adding the dye over the ice.
Loooooooove!!!! These are definitely next on my list. Have you ever made ice inside of the guttering itself? I wonder if it would still produce such cool effects to have one solid piece? 🤔
Thank you! 😊 I saw Lazy Lakers Creations on TikTok make some solid ice pieces from some Dollar Tree containers that are rectangular and fit perfectly in the guttering. I bought some of those and I've made a couple of shirts using them with dye under the ice. They worked really well, and stay on top of the shirts great. I haven't ever tried adding dye over the top of the ice with them though, and I was a little nervous to try it on these shirts.
Oh wow! Those are beautiful, it's hard to pick a favorite, but if I absolutely had to it would be the 3rd one because of the purple. Are you going to try these dyes on other fabrics?
Great experiment. I like the Phoenix color least as they are not the colors I wear but it’s still a cool combo. I like seeing how starting the twist in different places makes the design change. The first one started at the side gives a fire works effect that is amazing. Thanks. 👍 BTW do you always SA soak first and tie damp?
Thank you! You're right, I don't wear yellow. It honestly looks so bad on me, but I agree that Phoenix Flame is still a really cool color. I do always soak my shirts in a soda ash solution and I tie them when they are damp. Very rarely I will make a design where I don't soak the shirt first. I usually don't soak shirts when I paint designs using the dye.
Right now I either put them in the garage and outside during the day. It was actually in the 90's here yesterday. The garage is the warmest place at night though.
These are all beautiful colors! I'm so glad that Dharma is doing this as well. I know some of their other colors do some splits as well, but these formulated just for ice dyes are great! I think I have asked this question before but I don't remember if I saw an answer. If I did, I apologize! Anyway, when you say you wash in hot water with a little bit of Dharma's textile detergent. Approximately how much would you say you use? I think I am using maybe a little too much sometimes but then sometimes I am not using enough. Thanks again for your help and for your great videos!!!
I agree, I'm so glad that Dharma has formulated these special dyes. They are so pretty! 😀 I use about 1/4 cup of the textile detergent in a load. I have a top load high capacity high efficiency washing machine.
Yes, you can add water to these dyes and mix them to use as a liquid. The color splits and variations will only happen when they are used with ice though. 😀
I LOVE the Phoenix Flame one! Very pretty!
Thank you! 😀 I really like that one too.
Gray tutorial Angie! Number 3 is my favorite❤ thank you so much for doing this and I got to get some of these dyes!
Thank you so much! 😀 That color is Alchemist and so far it seems to be the favorite.
Wow, Angie. These shirts are gorgeous. Beautiful color splits. I saw that Dharma had some new ice dyes. Nancy

Thank you so much! That is a really pretty dye color. The green is so bright. 😀
I like the twist done at the bottom, as on the Phoenix. They're all cool
Thank you so much! I think that the bottom twist works really well with that color especially. It made it look more like flames. 😀
Those came out so beautiful!
Thank you! 😊
The Alchemist is delightful! 😊❤ Beautiful splits…very 80s vibe 😅 I love it ❤❤❤
I think so too! The splits in all of these are fantastic! 😀
I think these colors are all great. The Alchemist is my favorite too, but the flame shirt looks amazing. I’d like to see the flames coming straight up from the bottom on a shirt. And all the colors coming straight down from the collar if possible. That would be cool too. 👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you! I think that would be cool too! It would give more of the flame look. 😀
All of these colors are really cool - - but my favorite is Alchemist!!! You did a great job on all three!!!
Thank you so much! So far, Alchemist seems to be the crowd favorite! 😀
They're all beautiful Angie!! I love all of the colors!! I'm impatiently waiting for mine to arrive ❤
Thank you, I agree! Hopefully, yours will get to you soon. 😀
Aw, Man Angie!
All three of these are awesome. Love all of the colors.
I sure do you want to pick up these colors and give them a try for myself my favorite is the alchemist
Thank you so much Angie.
Thank you! I think they are all really pretty, but I think my favorite is Alchemist too. 😀
Greatest color swatches EVER!
I agree, they are fantastic! 😀
Kaleidoscope Eyes looks just like Dyespin's Wild Garden. I am going to order some today.
I thought the same!! But this one is much brighter in the greens 😊
It does kind of have some of the same splits. However, I am getting more yellow/lime from the Kaleidoscope than I get from Wild Garden. They are similar though. 😀
It’s very similar! I’m getting more of a yellowish cast to this one, though. Wild Garden’s green tones are more like mint and jade…
Love these. I’m going to order some ❤️thank you for demonstrating them.
Love your channel ❤
Yay! Thank you! They've released the other three colors now and I'm currently working on testing them out. 😀
I have an extra day off this weekend, and I'm supposed to get a delivery of these dyes on Saturday. You've inspired me to take some time to lay some dye down. Thanks for showing these!
Yippee for an extra day off! Spending it doing some tie dye is always a great choice. I hope you love these colors, I think they are so pretty! 😀
Thank you so much for testing these colors for us! Just awesome!!
I think they are awesome too! 😀
These are SO GORGEOUS! I really want to use Phoenix Flame with some autumnal colors! And Alchemist is my favorite, but that might just be because purple is my favorite color lol!

Wow! These new dyes really deliver. Thanks so much for testing and sharing so quickly after their availability!
Thank you so much, I think they are fantastic too! 😀
Great looking shirts, Angie, I like Alchemist the best and the shoulder twist is my favorite. I just ordered these dyes and want to do some colander dyes. Thanks for the inspiration.
Thank you! 😊 I really love Alchemist too. I think they'll look great on colander dyes. I am planning some designs to use them under the ice next time.

Thank you, I really love that one too! 😀
Just bought a pound of each color ....can't wait !!!
Awesome, I hope you have fun with them! 😀
All three are really nice and different. The first one reminds me of enchanted sunset from happy cat😁✌️
I agree, they are all so unique with lots of color splits! 😀

I noticed this on their website by accident the other day and I wanted them so bad. Thank you for this 💜💜💜
They are all really pretty colors, and they are permanent colors to their line-up. 😀
These are beautiful. I love the Phoenix starting at the bottom hem, it really looks like flames.❤ it’s hard to pick a favorite. They are all so nice.
Thank you! 😀 I agree, the Phoenix Flame does look like flames, and it is really hard to choose a favorite.
Wow! I screwed up not ordering those two days ago. Wonderful shirts!
Oh no! They are offering 3 more dyes next month.
Love this. Thank you for thos video. I received the new colors and am going to try them this weekend. They are all so good but Alchemist my favorite for now.❤

@@Junk_Cars_Art That is too funny! Sometimes they will cut things for you at Home Depot and Lowe's.
@@FunEndeavors they told me no because it wasn’t wood hahahah
It was still worth all the effort though and I had a good laugh!
Alchemist is my favorite color! I also like the Phoenix shirt, particularly with the twist direction. I do wish it had less of a greenish hue with the yellow and would have gone more in the reddish-orange direction.
I think the twist worked out great on the Phoenix Flame shirt too. I really like the green hue. I think it is so unexpected from this color. 😀
Mine are coming today and I can't wait! Another great vid Angie
Yay, I hope you love them! 😀
Man, I just placed an order a few days before they released these, lol. I need to get my hands on them. I like the twist that starts on the shoulder. Alchemist is an awesome color.

I have the shirts finished, but I just need to get the video edited. It is coming - I promise. 😀

Hi pls could you tell me if these dyes work well on organic fabric . Or the best on gilden
Hi! I use fiber reactive dyes and they only work on natural fabrics. Like cotton, bamboo, rayon, etc...
Thank you! Can these new dyes be converted to liquid? Will this reaction only happen in powder form with ice?
Yes, you can add water to these dyes and mix them to use as a liquid. The color splits and variations will only happen when they are used with ice though. 😀
@ Thank you!
