  • Inattention has been the riskiest factor of pedestrian-vehicle accidents. Inattention does not have to be related only to secondary tasks like the use of a mobile phone. A typical risky behaviour of a pedestrian is the sudden entry into the driving corridor of the vehicle (especially from the area of obstructed view, e.g. from behind stopped or parked vehicles). Typical locations where this behaviour occurs include bus or public transport stops. In order to point out the risky behaviour of pedestrians, an animated clip was created (a combination of a traffic accident simulation with photographs of the accident scene).
