Even though it would be nice to one day wake up and have no other cap outside of server paragon. Here are other changes that I would love to see happen that are not likely to happen. Allow earn more keys from legacy of the horadrim, along with playing it more than once per day. Also allow more keys to drop while doing a run. Then you can add gem power as a drop. Where gem power would drop from doing elder rifts. Also have a chance at getting a legendary crest when running an elder rift regardless of whether you use a crest or not nor the type of crest used would change the results. What I am trying to say is that they need to change the game in a way where you can within a reasonable amount of time grind to get whatever you want. Want to get your legendary gems to rank 10 then grind elder rifts along with doing whatever else you want. It won't matter what you want to do as long as Blizz allows you to grind to get it within a reasonable amount of time. Although I do have hope that one day they will do just that. I still don't hold out the highest hope of it happening. I did the math it is easy to reach the 2400 per week because it is around 343 battle pass points per day.
The only way to get the market active again is to make newer ways to gain platinum (bounties, dungeon, battleground rewards etc), and also increase the daily amount in codex from 300 to 1000 at least. Whales cant get platinum without spending orbs because f2p/low spenders cant amass plat to buy stuff in the market.
It feels like the market is being manipulated so that the only way you can gain platinum is to exchange real dollars for it in the store. I’m perfectly content playing the game at current CR level and 3K res. To make a substantial difference in my BG competitiveness would require an investment equivalent to purchasing a new car, ain’t gonna happen. Im a $5 a month spender and made it to 3K res I think a person starting today has zero chance of hitting 3K res on $5 a month in 2 years.
Yes those new affixes can be worth dropping other stats, that's a good decision to have to make. No one wants to play a game where you just equip the bigger numbers. Horizontal progression is healthy and fun. I think this update did so much things wiil get addressed over time. The MARKET is the ONLY thing that people are talking about that is valid.
I haven't bother with these 2 new game modes. Rewards are pretty horrific, so why bother? You're better off running just about anything else for your time spent. At this point, there's really too many currencies and too many game modes. They really need to consolidate rewards in some of them bcz it's nearly impossible to do it all. When you are a f2p player at some point you hit a brick wall and it is all about the lack of platinum. Would help if there were an npc or something where you can do stuff or sell from inv to earn extra plat.

The whales are spent out, they are no longer motivated. The developers have to start thinking about transitioning to a real subscription model. Like having a combo pack in the services tab that includes the Battlepass/Boon/Platinum ect all in one pack... The reason they need to do this is because the game cannot survive long term on whales. The entire monetization model needs to change.
I honestly love the game, they could lighten up on the grind for gems a tiny bit. I’m a bottom tiered spender and am essentially at the point where unless I start dumping cash into the game it’s going to be quite a long time before I see solid progress on leg gems. You can still have a lot of fun and do insane amounts of damage and compete, but gems have essentially become a bun in the oven that’s going to take months and months or longer to progress on.

Thats what they bank on human desire and human impatience both are a given. It starts f2p then $5 for BP then $10 for boon of plenty then some crests then some more and boom your f2p days are getting smaller in the rear view every day.

If they added a BOT that would purchase item that are listed at minimum price back to themselves the market would move. These are items that have no monetary value and they still take a cut as an imaginary house take, so then why doesnt the house start buying up all the low end product to stimulate the economy so everyone has something to do. Tell the shady stock dealer to buy it up. He makes a ton of gold selling crap items. You know he has the plat to accommplish it 😂 its all a racket and a riot.

Thi k the content needs to be of better quality. We now have so much content. To do daily. It's just overwhelming. Would be interested if anyone knows approximately how long the devs expect the players to play. All your dailies events. Hidden lairs dungeons. Vault terror rifts. The list goes on. Alot of the content is super buggy. I'm beginning to feel like a hamster. But I'm on the paragon wheel. I run around in circles for hours on end . But don't really get anywhere. It just seems to be a never ending spend fest. Alot of the bugs old and new. Will never be fixed. Because there is no profit in it. I would happily miss some of the smaller updates. Just to have bug fixes. In my opinion making the game play as intended. Would be worth much much more valuable than another round of bugs.

My only issue being a mid spender is lag from updates . I only play mobile on phone so it's frustrating to say the least. Just got new phone few months ago and now lagging again enough to close game to reboot grrr blizzard please fix
I'm an extremely active DI player. I cannot be bothered to spend the time or waste the pet contracts to attempt to decipher the extremely confusing and convoluted pet system. I still don't have a savior pet. And anyway, bg matchmaking is so bad, I only bg Mondays for Shadow Weeklies because I am FORCED to do it (and I don't BG at all if I'm an Immortal). So the need for a saviour pet is not very pressing. I will probably never make the effort to figure out Familiars. There's just no need.
The game packs are far too expensive for the majority of the player base. Then the ftp crest/rewards drops are far too low. The whales have 1% player base to compete with properly. Blizz are literally costing themselves out of the game by making player progression inaccessible to most. This is from a mid spender who loves the game 👍

Erebban and Verge are still fucking bad. I tried for like 20x not even one! not even Legend gears I'm still hunting for the new essences. If only they should keep the drop rate of Legend gears at least so we don't feel frustration of not getting anything. The Abyssal Essences also do no good.

One thing many people forget about. Soon, it will be more games then people. There is already entertainment in the world for next 10000 year's worth of life. Every player/gamer, is worth its weight in gold for game companies, spender or not. After "Simplification" change in DI, Blizzard has shown us that they count seriously on DI in long run. This Warcraft event is one of things (its like short romance between two games:), cute :). For me, it took me 2 months of playing DI to star buying BP, BoP, PP, and some other 10 or 20 euro good offer per months. I look at that as my support and subscription for game and community inside game. Do not forget that all dungeon raiding will start to be boring after some time playing solo. In game, There is your warband, your clan, your frends aee in game. They are also big reason why are you in, playing game. If this game only relies on big 50k spenders, then I am definitely in wrong game. This game will break at one point because of that, if it is true. Why do you play DI? To show how much money you have? Or, To have good time with community inside game? PvP in game needs balancing, and, as I see in last 6 months, Blizzard is working on solving that challenge. One of biggest problems is lagging. For end game player with high reso? What? What do you want? You have godlike power's in game compering to rest of us. On several occasions was hearing from other's player calling 6k on reso player's literally God 's. This is what your 50k bucks has buy to you. God-like status and powers in game/community. Give some more challenging to "whales", as you like to call them. Blizzard is already doing that, with Alley of Blood, Wild Brawl etc. It say to you, ok, you buy Godlike powers and status in game, you can one shot anyone, now, let's test your skills on leveled playing field with the rest of player's that you one shot every day. New maps and event's are always welcome 🤠
"Iben Fahd's Tenacity" should be a guaranteed drop in Legacy of Horadrim, upon opening all chests. The random drop rate is very bad, my Wizard with 2 years of existence never drop it, even though I spent real money buying keys and opening all chests.
Iono. As a low spender it helps me getting 5 star gems for cheaper now. Grinding up 64k plat takes way too long. The only way to increase the value in the market is to increase the drop rates.
No... just...no. The problem is not that there are not enough gems to buy. The problem is that there is not currently enough plat in the market to purchase everything that is being listed. Increasing the supply just means more people willl be further undercutting the lowest posting because they just want to sell something. We need the "have to buy lowest price" removed and we need better natural ways to make plat other than the pathetic 300p per day, which amounts to nothing helpful Nothing good will happen to the market if drop chances are increased without addressing the plat issue.
@@4lphao256 Well, I don't agree about the 300plat a day comment. We have more ways than ever to make plat: selling leg gems, normal gems, skill stones, pets, and now runes too. I will say that the market isn't just broken, it's shattered. I listed a FH on my market for 40k yesterday which normally would be reasonable to cheap. I noticed a 3/5 for under 26k. I saw a 4/5 gloom cask for 114k. It's the first time in game's history it is more efficient to push progression by buying orbs and converting straight to platinum than actually running crests bc the 5* market is soo saturated right now and no one has any patience or self respect to get a decent price for what they're selling. I don't fully understand why the new "buy lowest first" matters, I've heard people say it's a problem but can someone actually explain why? If I'm buying a gem, I always buy the lowest. Why would I intentionally spend more plat than I have to for the same product. Something needs to be done though bc this trend is only gonna get worse until the system collapses and no one runs crests, drying up the supply and fixing the market by natural laws of economics. One way to curb the reverse inflation and de valuing of plat would be to remove the 15% tax. I understand they out this in the game for a plat sink, like many games do with currency, to prevent the market from becoming a closed system where people don't have to keep feeding into it to keep it alive; but right now it's contributing to the problem bc there is already a significant plat shortage.
Everyone believed the merge would provide more buyers while I held without more platinum the merge would just introduce more product with no buyers. Guess who was right.
They need better product team that looks at what people are asking for and doing better content. In my mind when you get to a new hell level, get a new map area or dungeon specific to that level and beyond. Something worth grinding to get to next level. For marketplace, blizzard should remove their stupid tax on sales and perhaps introduce a virtual bot customer that purchases some items to keep up some demand in the store.
Whales have Tower war, RoE and Vigil. Low res players won't ever see RoE as a Shadow. So whales get a 12% bad as a Shadow whereas low res, (no matter how active in everything else and they can even be #1 on the Shadow Leaderboard), can only get at most an 8% badge. You kinda forgot all that.
I can't respond to everyone like this, but it shows my main point is that the VAST majority of players, INCLUDING WHALES, do NOT understand how to best progress a character's strength. 5* gems shouldn't be an immediate goal. There are only a few of them that are stronger than the beat 2* gems. I buy only the Battle Pass (unless I get google play credit as gifts). The recent changes to shadow badges also made it so many shadows get 12% badges now. Inspect some of the top 10 shadows to check it out.
I started playing at the beginning, I left it, I came back in 2023 and I left it again in January 2024. I don't think I'll come back unless things change a lot. For these reasons: 1. the type of player that there is at least in Spain. I've dealt with a lot of people and they all seem like "damaged" people to me, I mean, people with clear gambling problems, smokers, bad vices, in short, people with whom I don't feel comfortable playing. This after talking to them on discord. I met some nice people too, but overall that's what I saw the most on the server. And I am a person with healthy habits so it is not my thing. 2. Almost everyone I've played with agrees that a status quo should be respected in the game. Whales, grinders and F2P, as if it were a chain that must be respected. That doesn't suit me, I'm a competitive player, I like to be one of the best if I can. I don't like that players worse than me have to "help" me do high-level dungeons or defeat bosses. When in another game I would be the one who would have to help them... And since getting on their level is literally impossible, it is a chain that you neither can nor want to break. 3. This means that there are players by caste and interested people behind them prepared to exploit them. It's curious, to say the least, that if you're just a regular player, people don't even greet you in the clan chat, but if you're a guy with statistics... You're like a god, everyone wants to do things with you and as soon as that player leaves... Nobody wants to do anything anymore, because everything is slower and more difficult... As long as all this continues, I will not return and that is the reason why I doubt I will return. Which seems a real shame to me because since Guild Wars 2 I haven't played anything that I enjoyed so much in this genre.
Totally agreeing with your point 2. That's the most unbearable in this game, this invisible (at first) wall with zero possible progression after reaching what would be in a classic diablo 2 barely a little lv 50 or 60 (on 99/100)... even when paying regularly what is a perfectly fair share for any normal mmo game, and much more than for any classics in the genre... but here is not, or that's what you are told to accept very quickly... Just an unbearable way to conceive a 'game' indeed.
@@sunnysun2030 I have given the example of Gw2 precisely for that reason, because if you had little time you could catch up with the others (I don't know if that is the case now in that game) but the difference in players was skill, not a wall of statistics. I knew that people played with me because I was good and we liked each other, not because I had better items than them. In DI not only do you have to play every day systematically to stay on the wheel, but that wheel is unattainable. You will reach a point in the game pyramid in my case (working ant) and you will remain there forever without the possibility of going up unless you take out your credit card and start spending like crazy. And for that, I play something else.
@Cristian-he5bk yes, that's sadly almost totally my feeling too about this DI, after a lot of time passed on it. Not my concept of a viable even less honest game too, at the end of the days. Or that's just not a game, rather something else... the joke beeing on the -players- buyers at the end - or endless 'ants' ftp as you call them pretty exactly... This whole ''something else'' is actually quite appealing at the end of the journey. Pity, they had a great unique whole market for a mobile game, they just blew it up... not meant for normal players, especially for this kind of games where the whole point is to progress at the best possible, the challenge beeing that, and just enjoy it, if and when we have the time. And doing it again with a new class if still hooked, till the natural end of time or interest available. But there is something else behind here... hard to not feel it. Better to warn unsuspecting people before at least. At least, there are still happily other games around that are just that ; games. To simply hopefully smartly entertain with some challenge and offer some harmless escapism, with even some cultural interest and ideas for the best ones, or mainly just sympathic fantasy challenges without harm (not here) ! Nice to see sometimes some opinions around there too, that are going further than just the immediate bells & whistles, thank you too ;)

The game needs an infusion - its apparent folks have tired on the same formula for 2 years now. If it doesn't change it wont be long until there's not many folks within.
Anniversary event and bonuses jump in activity, quickly faded. Merge big jump in activity again fading. I was a grinder putting in 9 hours a day accumulative got tired of the punished for playing format and now just spend a couple hours in the morning doing daily and a few randoms. There’s coming a day where it won’t cross my mind to login in and that will be the end, blizzard is trying to insure that.
The drops have been horrible. Its obviously been turned down. Single sentence magic to replace my awakend? Really? I had to break my build just to make cr. Challenge rifts are now harder than any heli raid by a long shot, 37k+ cr? Not sure how this update was thought as a good idea.

As you said, it is an addictive game and that's the problem with addictions. You always want more and more, your satisfaction lasts less every time, and it gets to a pace where you get destroyed, or the game can't keep up with your urges... So, if you want to play it, just enjoy the ride and don't expect to be #1

Hey Echo, I very much like your content. I have started with Diablo Immortal about 4 days ago. So here comes some perspective from the "newbie". I was surprised how much content is actually in the game. I was not expecting the game of size of regular game. The amount of locations, quests, assets, classes... the way game engine works, it could easily be great computer game. So I think developers did massive amount of effort to make the game great. Sadly what I don't like is the concept of joining daily and playing. You are not much rewarded for your skill or your ability to make a working build, but rather for just being there. I wish there were skill runes just as in D3 or skill points as in D2, so the skills would be more complex, not just given factor as skills should be the main definition of your character. Now your character is solely defined by collecting stuff. There is something that must have been crystal clear for everyone. There are three common game factors, new players, game udpates and nonresetting economy. 1. New players needs to have chance to catch up old players, so they are required easier access to items. 2. Updates are wanted to keep old players active, but updates always causes power creep. 3. System builds up items over time, which wont vanish. Leaving players dont need items anymore. And this goes directly against two other concepts in Diablo Immortal, which is long term grinding and long term money spending. People that will try to achieve their goals long term will also lose the value of achievements over time. My prefered way to enjoy such a game would be to join for season. Play the game with 1 or 2 classes, then leave possibly for months. Then rejoin for another season, play for different classes and leave again. This would go on until I finish all the classes and might repeat with same classes if the updates in the game has been there. Each time I join I might spend some money to valuate the good game. But currently I do have very little motivation to rejoin for different class. Even tho I would like to see skills and perspective of different class, I'm not willing to go thru that grind again. Because I don't feel like grind is my doing, but rather reward for just being there. Endless joining to elder rifts, raids and dungeons where I do nothing but follow the stronger players which are so fast I can't even catch them just with pure running. I don't see any way to make this process faster. The most time I spend with clicking on tabs in activity, shop and other areas. Im sorry is this game called Diablo Form Wizard? My current plan is to try to go over this so I can reach some decent paragon level and hopefully I will finally see some of my doing to have impact on the actual achievements in the game. But if the game wouldn't look so damn good, I would leave already to play different game.
Agree when you do BG it should randomly select from 5ish maps from 5ish game modes. Maybe capture the flag, death match, escort the idol, king of the hill etc
The game is designed for you to keep busy and grind and it doesn't matter whether you're a big spender or f2p. End game is an illusion and it's what makes a game survive.
As a f2p or super low spender I absolutely love the low prices on gems! Here’s why. 1star leg gems are as low as 550 on my server. 2/5 stars go for 25k average and as low as 16k quite often as well! 4 stars star fire for just 80k! - Mean while NORMAL gems have kept their value (besides rubies). So I run 2x characters each day. That’s 24 gems a day from dungeons. Plus 126 from lairs. At end of week I transfer the gems from my alt to my main. At end of each week I have massive amounts of platinum! I’m almost 3.2k reso. I haven’t bought any bundle in 4 months. I’ve gone from 2.5 -3.2 completely f2p 😂

Only been back a few days but can't seem to get through hell three I was in inf 3 when I left ha and at 1250 just seems very unfair to have grinded all those lvls and I'm back at the hundreds and hell three ty Blizzard both chrs have armor lvl 20+ and I have my wings idk just seems like they took a big crap on us bro
I did 10 Abyssal Verge runs turned in the 10 Abyssal Essence to Rayek and got a blue rune. This is what people warned about with this participation trophy mentality everyone should get one. Whats the point in playing if all you need is to piss & moan and stick out your empty hand and you’re rewarded. I have 4 blues in use and 2 dubs in stash that I got from trifts, elders, dungeons, and fabrication. One gal in the clan has pretty much all blues she didn’t get them by complaining she got them by playing the game.
I've been playing on and off since day one, usually only opting to spend on the odd battlepass here and there. This game has a lot more to do than it used to, and as long as you don't want to be competitive in PvP, F2P is absolutely fine. The market is in a sad state worldwide right now, and needs addressing, and with all the changes over the past several months, there are some legacy systems that don't make much sense, and are basically redundant. I agree the pets system needs a bit of an overhaul too. Overall still loving the game, and it's great to be able to play a little bit of Diablo on the go. I don't really have much time to boot up my Xbox atm, so am grateful I can still get a little demon slaying done 😈

They grind lairs and get gems to sell but after a lair just 300 plats and they also even don't get sold for days. Sometimes it even take a whole week until your normal gem get sold with just 100 plats lol.
They need to make PVP better. They have not really expanded it. It’s the same map. It’s the same conditions to win. It’s very very stale. If they went whales to have more residence, they have to give them something else to do.

there is no way you have all those awaken gems and you only spent $1500. the 5 star gems want 100 plus power of gems just to do one upgrade, so 12 crest will not do it a week. Also that new Terror Rift is junk you don't gain experience while playing and they give you junk for those blood drops, I'm upset about it. They also put me in a clan when I didn't want to be in one because I only play one month then leave for 6.
Whales and old players have been dispised with the last update. The feeling in Eurooe server is that there is no future for us in Diablo Immortal. Why there's no some legendary pvp league for whales itself, something just for this big spenders? Why the game has become so easy till be boring for old players with 36-38k CR? why having 12 zones, all equally easy? where is the progress, the target to reach? For the first time in 2 years I am wondering what is the reason to continue playing, meanwhile every week see old players quitting and clans become weaker and rooky.
Runes are every 14 days. It says in game. 9 days left now. It says under the Rune Synthesis menu if you go to the bottom. They will cap out after the next 2 releases I suspect. Server merges won't do shit for the servers economy. Merging does not introduce new plat into the market, and the problem right now is there is not enough plat to keep up with the supply.

Even though it would be nice to one day wake up and have no other cap outside of server paragon. Here are other changes that I would love to see happen that are not likely to happen. Allow earn more keys from legacy of the horadrim, along with playing it more than once per day. Also allow more keys to drop while doing a run. Then you can add gem power as a drop. Where gem power would drop from doing elder rifts. Also have a chance at getting a legendary crest when running an elder rift regardless of whether you use a crest or not nor the type of crest used would change the results.
What I am trying to say is that they need to change the game in a way where you can within a reasonable amount of time grind to get whatever you want. Want to get your legendary gems to rank 10 then grind elder rifts along with doing whatever else you want. It won't matter what you want to do as long as Blizz allows you to grind to get it within a reasonable amount of time. Although I do have hope that one day they will do just that. I still don't hold out the highest hope of it happening.
I did the math it is easy to reach the 2400 per week because it is around 343 battle pass points per day.
The only way to get the market active again is to make newer ways to gain platinum (bounties, dungeon, battleground rewards etc), and also increase the daily amount in codex from 300 to 1000 at least. Whales cant get platinum without spending orbs because f2p/low spenders cant amass plat to buy stuff in the market.
It feels like the market is being manipulated so that the only way you can gain platinum is to exchange real dollars for it in the store. I’m perfectly content playing the game at current CR level and 3K res. To make a substantial difference in my BG competitiveness would require an investment equivalent to purchasing a new car, ain’t gonna happen. Im a $5 a month spender and made it to 3K res I think a person starting today has zero chance of hitting 3K res on $5 a month in 2 years.

Yes those new affixes can be worth dropping other stats, that's a good decision to have to make.

The whales are spent out, they are no longer motivated. The developers have to start thinking about transitioning to a real subscription model. Like having a combo pack in the services tab that includes the Battlepass/Boon/Platinum ect all in one pack... The reason they need to do this is because the game cannot survive long term on whales. The entire monetization model needs to change.
I honestly love the game, they could lighten up on the grind for gems a tiny bit. I’m a bottom tiered spender and am essentially at the point where unless I start dumping cash into the game it’s going to be quite a long time before I see solid progress on leg gems. You can still have a lot of fun and do insane amounts of damage and compete, but gems have essentially become a bun in the oven that’s going to take months and months or longer to progress on.

Thats what they bank on human desire and human impatience both are a given. It starts f2p then $5 for BP then $10 for boon of plenty then some crests then some more and boom your f2p days are getting smaller in the rear view every day.

If they added a BOT that would purchase item that are listed at minimum price back to themselves the market would move. These are items that have no monetary value and they still take a cut as an imaginary house take, so then why doesnt the house start buying up all the low end product to stimulate the economy so everyone has something to do. Thi k the content needs to be of better quality. We now have so much content. To do daily. It's just overwhelming. Would be interested if anyone knows approximately how long the devs expect the players to play. All your dailies events. Hidden lairs dungeons. Vault terror rifts. The list goes on.
Alot of the content is super buggy. I'm beginning to feel like a hamster. But I'm on the paragon wheel. I run around in circles for hours on end . But don't really get anywhere.
It just seems to be a never ending spend fest. Alot of the bugs old and new. Will never be fixed. Because there is no profit in it. I would happily miss some of the smaller updates. Just to have bug fixes. In my opinion making the game play as intended. Would be worth much much more valuable than another round of bugs.

I'm an extremely active DI player. I cannot be bothered to spend the time or waste the pet contracts to attempt to decipher the extremely confusing and convoluted pet system. I still don't have a savior pet.
And anyway, bg matchmaking is so bad, I only bg Mondays for Shadow Weeklies because I am FORCED to do it (and I don't BG at all if I'm an Immortal). So the need for a saviour pet is not very pressing. I will probably never make the effort to figure out Familiars. There's just no need.
The game packs are far too expensive for the majority of the player base. Then the ftp crest/rewards drops are far too low. The whales have 1% player base to compete with properly. Blizz are literally costing themselves out of the game by making player progression inaccessible to most. This is from a mid spender who loves the game 👍

Erebban and Verge are still fucking bad. I tried for like 20x not even one! not even Legend gears I'm still hunting for the new essences. If only they should keep the drop rate of Legend gears at least so we don't feel frustration of not getting anything. The Abyssal Essences also do no good.
Instead of playing taller with more resonance blizzard could go wide. Using essences etc to push multiple alts not just uplift reso every time

"Iben Fahd's Tenacity" should be a guaranteed drop in Legacy of Horadrim, upon opening all chests. The random drop rate is very bad, my Wizard with 2 years of existence never drop it, even though I spent real money buying keys and opening all chests.

Iono. As a low spender it helps me getting 5 star gems for cheaper now. Grinding up 64k plat takes way too long. The only way to increase the value in the market is to increase the drop rates.

The problem is not that there are not enough gems to buy. The problem is that there is not currently enough plat in the market to purchase everything that is being listed.
Increasing the supply just means more people willl be further undercutting the lowest posting because they just want to sell something.
We need the "have to buy lowest price" removed and we need better natural ways to make plat other than the pathetic 300p per day, which amounts to nothing helpful

Well, I don't agree about the 300plat a day comment. We have more ways than ever to make plat: selling leg gems, normal gems, skill stones, pets, and now runes too. I will say that the market isn't just broken, it's shattered. I listed a FH on my market for 40k yesterday which normally would be reasonable to cheap. I noticed a 3/5 for under 26k. I saw a 4/5 gloom cask for 114k. It's the first time in game's history it is more efficient to push progression by buying orbs and converting straight to platinum than actually running crests bc the 5* market is soo saturated right now and no one has any patience or self respect to get a decent price for what they're selling. I don't fully understand why the new "buy lowest first" matters, I've heard people say it's a problem but can someone actually explain why? If I'm buying a gem, I always buy the lowest. Why would I intentionally spend more plat than I have to for the same product. Something needs to be done though bc this trend is only gonna get worse until the system collapses and no one runs crests, drying up the supply and fixing the market by natural laws of economics. One way to curb the reverse inflation and de valuing of plat would be to remove the 15% tax. I understand they out this in the game for a plat sink, like many games do with currency, to prevent the market from becoming a closed system where people don't have to keep feeding into it to keep it alive; but right now it's contributing to the problem bc there is already a significant plat shortage.

The game is amazing keep the content coming.
They need better product team that looks at what people are asking for and doing better content. In my mind when you get to a new hell level, get a new map area or dungeon specific to that level and beyond. Something worth grinding to get to next level. For marketplace, blizzard should remove their stupid tax on sales and perhaps introduce a virtual bot customer that purchases some items to keep up some demand in the store.

Whales have Tower war, RoE and Vigil. Low res players won't ever see RoE as a Shadow.
So whales get a 12% bad as a Shadow whereas low res, (no matter how active in everything else and they can even be #1 on the Shadow Leaderboard), can only get at most an 8% badge.
You kinda forgot all that.
I can't respond to everyone like this, but it shows my main point is that the VAST majority of players, INCLUDING WHALES, do NOT understand how to best progress a character's strength.
5* gems shouldn't be an immediate goal. There are only a few of them that are stronger than the beat 2* gems.
I buy only the Battle Pass (unless I get google play credit as gifts).
The recent changes to shadow badges also made it so many shadows get 12% badges now.
Inspect some of the top 10 shadows to check it out.
I started playing at the beginning, I left it, I came back in 2023 and I left it again in January 2024. I don't think I'll come back unless things change a lot. For these reasons:
1. the type of player that there is at least in Spain. I've dealt with a lot of people and they all seem like "damaged" people to me, I mean, people with clear gambling problems, smokers, bad vices, in short, people with whom I don't feel comfortable playing. This after talking to them on discord. I met some nice people too, but overall that's what I saw the most on the server. And I am a person with healthy habits so it is not my thing.
2. Almost everyone I've played with agrees that a status quo should be respected in the game. Whales, grinders and F2P, as if it were a chain that must be respected. That doesn't suit me, I'm a competitive player, I like to be one of the best if I can. I don't like that players worse than me have to "help" me do high-level dungeons or defeat bosses. When in another game I would be the one who would have to help them... And since getting on their level is literally impossible, it is a chain that you neither can nor want to break.
3. This means that there are players by caste and interested people behind them prepared to exploit them. It's curious, to say the least, that if you're just a regular player, people don't even greet you in the clan chat, but if you're a guy with statistics... You're like a god, everyone wants to do things with you and as soon as that player leaves... Nobody wants to do anything anymore, because everything is slower and more difficult...
As long as all this continues, I will not return and that is the reason why I doubt I will return. Which seems a real shame to me because since Guild Wars 2 I haven't played anything that I enjoyed so much in this genre.
Totally agreeing with your point 2. That's the most unbearable in this game, this invisible (at first) wall with zero possible progression after reaching what would be in a classic diablo 2 barely a little lv 50 or 60 (on 99/100)... even when paying regularly what is a perfectly fair share for any normal mmo game, and much more than for any classics in the genre... but here is not, or that's what you are told to accept very quickly...
Just an unbearable way to conceive a 'game' indeed.
@@sunnysun2030 I have given the example of Gw2 precisely for that reason, because if you had little time you could catch up with the others (I don't know if that is the case now in that game) but the difference in players was skill, not a wall of statistics. I knew that people played with me because I was good and we liked each other, not because I had better items than them.
In DI not only do you have to play every day systematically to stay on the wheel, but that wheel is unattainable. You will reach a point in the game pyramid in my case (working ant) and you will remain there forever without the possibility of going up unless you take out your credit card and start spending like crazy. And for that, I play something else.
@Cristian-he5bk yes, that's sadly almost totally my feeling too about this DI, after a lot of time passed on it. Not my concept of a viable even less honest game too, at the end of the days. Or that's just not a game, rather something else... the joke beeing on the -players- buyers at the end - or endless 'ants' ftp as you call them pretty exactly... This whole ''something else'' is actually quite appealing at the end of the journey.
Pity, they had a great unique whole market for a mobile game, they just blew it up... not meant for normal players, especially for this kind of games where the whole point is to progress at the best possible, the challenge beeing that, and just enjoy it, if and when we have the time. And doing it again with a new class if still hooked, till the natural end of time or interest available. But there is something else behind here... hard to not feel it. Better to warn unsuspecting people before at least.
At least, there are still happily other games around that are just that ; games. To simply hopefully smartly entertain with some challenge and offer some harmless escapism, with even some cultural interest and ideas for the best ones, or mainly just sympathic fantasy challenges without harm (not here) !

The game needs an infusion - its apparent folks have tired on the same formula for 2 years now. If it doesn't change it wont be long until there's not many folks within.
Anniversary event and bonuses jump in activity, quickly faded. Merge big jump in activity again fading. I was a grinder putting in 9 hours a day accumulative got tired of the punished for playing format and now just spend a couple hours in the morning doing daily and a few randoms. There’s coming a day where it won’t cross my mind to login in and that will be the end, blizzard is trying to insure that.
The markets gems are still super expensive….they all need to come down another 75% or more
The drops have been horrible. Its obviously been turned down. Single sentence magic to replace my awakend? Really? I had to break my build just to make cr. Challenge rifts are now harder than any heli raid by a long shot, 37k+ cr? Not sure how this update was thought as a good idea.

Hey Echo, I very much like your content.
I have started with Diablo Immortal about 4 days ago. So here comes some perspective from the "newbie".
I was surprised how much content is actually in the game. I was not expecting the game of size of regular game. The amount of locations, quests, assets, classes... the way game engine works, it could easily be great computer game. So I think developers did massive amount of effort to make the game great.
Sadly what I don't like is the concept of joining daily and playing. You are not much rewarded for your skill or your ability to make a working build, but rather for just being there. I wish there were skill runes just as in D3 or skill points as in D2, so the skills would be more complex, not just given factor as skills should be the main definition of your character. Now your character is solely defined by collecting stuff.
There is something that must have been crystal clear for everyone. There are three common game factors, new players, game udpates and nonresetting economy.
1. New players needs to have chance to catch up old players, so they are required easier access to items.
2. Updates are wanted to keep old players active, but updates always causes power creep.
3. System builds up items over time, which wont vanish. Leaving players dont need items anymore.
And this goes directly against two other concepts in Diablo Immortal, which is long term grinding and long term money spending. People that will try to achieve their goals long term will also lose the value of achievements over time.
My prefered way to enjoy such a game would be to join for season. Play the game with 1 or 2 classes, then leave possibly for months. Then rejoin for another season, play for different classes and leave again. This would go on until I finish all the classes and might repeat with same classes if the updates in the game has been there. Each time I join I might spend some money to valuate the good game.
But currently I do have very little motivation to rejoin for different class. Even tho I would like to see skills and perspective of different class, I'm not willing to go thru that grind again. Because I don't feel like grind is my doing, but rather reward for just being there. Endless joining to elder rifts, raids and dungeons where I do nothing but follow the stronger players which are so fast I can't even catch them just with pure running. I don't see any way to make this process faster. The most time I spend with clicking on tabs in activity, shop and other areas. Im sorry is this game called Diablo Form Wizard?
My current plan is to try to go over this so I can reach some decent paragon level and hopefully I will finally see some of my doing to have impact on the actual achievements in the game. But if the game wouldn't look so damn good, I would leave already to play different game.
Agree when you do BG it should randomly select from 5ish maps from 5ish game modes. Maybe capture the flag, death match, escort the idol, king of the hill etc
The game is designed for you to keep busy and grind and it doesn't matter whether you're a big spender or f2p. End game is an illusion and it's what makes a game survive.
As a f2p or super low spender I absolutely love the low prices on gems! Here’s why. 1star leg gems are as low as 550 on my server. 2/5 stars go for 25k average and as low as 16k quite often as well! 4 stars star fire for just 80k! - Mean while NORMAL gems have kept their value (besides rubies). So I run 2x characters each day. That’s 24 gems a day from dungeons. Plus 126 from lairs. At end of week I transfer the gems from my alt to my main. At end of each week I have massive amounts of platinum! I’m almost 3.2k reso. I haven’t bought any bundle in 4 months. I’ve gone from 2.5 -3.2 completely f2p 😂

I did 10 Abyssal Verge runs turned in the 10 Abyssal Essence to Rayek and got a blue rune. This is what people warned about with this participation trophy mentality everyone should get one. Whats the point in playing if all you need is to piss & moan and stick out your empty hand and you’re rewarded. I have 4 blues in use and 2 dubs in stash that I got from trifts, elders, dungeons, and fabrication. One gal in the clan has pretty much all blues she didn’t get them by complaining she got them by playing the game.
I've been playing on and off since day one, usually only opting to spend on the odd battlepass here and there. This game has a lot more to do than it used to, and as long as you don't want to be competitive in PvP, F2P is absolutely fine. The market is in a sad state worldwide right now, and needs addressing, and with all the changes over the past several months, there are some legacy systems that don't make much sense, and are basically redundant. I agree the pets system needs a bit of an overhaul too. Overall still loving the game, and it's great to be able to play a little bit of Diablo on the go. I don't really have much time to boot up my Xbox atm, so am grateful I can still get a little demon slaying done 😈

Devs need to create new pvp battles based on resonance level. Why mix whale pvpers with noob players? Makes no sense for either party.
$1500? That’s crazy…I’ve spent around 20-25% as much and I’m about 1000 res higher with maxed gear. I feel much better about my grind now
Hey echo, agree with expanding cap size, cap out battle pass all the time. For a low spender, it's one of the only ways to compete with the whales. Thanks for listening ( zzia,)
They grind lairs and get gems to sell but after a lair just 300 plats and they also even don't get sold for days. Sometimes it even take a whole week until your normal gem get sold with just 100 plats lol.
I hate the caps that more or less punish u for playing the game
They need to make PVP better. They have not really expanded it. It’s the same map. It’s the same conditions to win. It’s very very stale. If they went whales to have more residence, they have to give them something else to do.
It’s gotten crazy. I tried to play after not playing for a while and I guess I’m gonna have to just start a new character because I don’t know what the hell is going on.

Remove the CR attribute from gear, make gear drops sellable and maybe the things will become a bit better...
But if you look at the price of normal gems it is very low f2p players are not even able to buy 2/5 star gem
Bro all the old stuff that cost plat they need to make cost gold now like charms or converting pets its just a waste of plate as of now
So don't complain about low prices f2p players also want to enjoy the game not anyone can spend in game

You can exchange salvage material for dust, that's what I do, and if you have extra gold use it to buy gear from yakin and salvage,

there is no way you have all those awaken gems and you only spent $1500. the 5 star gems want 100 plus power of gems just to do one upgrade, so 12 crest will not do it a week. Also that new Terror Rift is junk you don't gain experience while playing and they give you junk for those blood drops, I'm upset about it. They also put me in a clan when I didn't want to be in one because I only play one month then leave for 6.
100%. I am not a heavy spender. Remember gems are awakened now at level 5. Not level 10 required anymore

Whales and old players have been dispised with the last update. The feeling in Eurooe server is that there is no future for us in Diablo Immortal. Why there's no some legendary pvp league for whales itself, something just for this big spenders? Why the game has become so easy till be boring for old players with 36-38k CR? why having 12 zones, all equally easy? where is the progress, the target to reach? For the first time in 2 years I am wondering what is the reason to continue playing, meanwhile every week see old players quitting and clans become weaker and rooky.

Runes are every 14 days. It says in game. 9 days left now. It says under the Rune Synthesis menu if you go to the bottom.
They will cap out after the next 2 releases I suspect.
Server merges won't do shit for the servers economy. Merging does not introduce new plat into the market, and the problem right now is there is not enough plat to keep up with the supply.
No matter what content they release in this game, if it isnt a way to get res easily for f2p players, it doesnt matter. Thats the bottom line.
