Be true to yourself. One lesson I learned is that if I compare myself to 10 other people then I have to do as much as 10 people to think good things about me. So I stopped. I'd rather be me than try to be anyone else, let alone 10 other people. Much easier, even if Kermit disagrees.
Being true to myself feels like a daily battle I'll fight every day for a loooong while yet. But, it feels like a battle I want to fight no matter how often and difficult because I WANT to be me, do me, put me into the world. Thanks for the encouragement, tvmojo.
One of the reasons I'm following you and not bigger van lifers is because I love your videos already and see huge potential. I'm just waiting for you to blow up because in my mind, if you continue consistently putting in the same energy you're putting into your content now, it's only a question of 'when' rather than 'if'. so freakin' relatable.. I cannot wait to see how your story turns out.. i charge $100/hr and can barely drag myself to work anymore, so i only put in about 10 hours a week now, and i hate every minute.. i thought to myself a dozen times this last week, "i wonder how Jeremiah decides what to do everyday".. #WWJD.. i have been 'dreaming' that a $200k Sprinter van can solve all my problems.. (ya, i know)... i envy that you had enough self insight to at least form a dream and chase it.. I have never felt so lost and meaningless (and alone), and in some odd way, you instantly became a role model for me..
#WWJD! hahah this hasn't crossed my mind in a long while, thanks for bringing an old laugh back. I've spent a lot of time struggling with the realization that there doesn't seem to be a way to teach people how to change their lives or how to move in the "right direction" in their lives. Everyones lives are so different. Everyones circumstances are so dramatically different. Every life is so different even while we are so similar that it makes it nearly impossible to share my story in a way that can teach someone else how to change their own story.... But....then I remember how I find encouragement, drive, motivation, inspiration, conviction, direction even from something as stupid as a fictional movie, a standup comedian's honest self-deprecation, a musicians' wholehearted commitment to creating beautiful sounds from their single instrument. We all find encouragement in the world around us even if whatever we are watching/hearing/seeing is not meant to encourage or inspire us. This is partly why I make videos. Each video can mean something entirely different to each person that watches it. I hope you find something good in the videos I make :)

Great art keeps speaking with new people and participating in new conversations long after the artist has moved on. Just keep that conversation going, sparking new ideas in yourself, and throwing some seeds on the wind for others to nurture, and to nurture them in return. Also, while life in a van has great highs and deep lows, I can assure you that all lives worth living have those, regardless of venue. Life without contrast is 50% gray. Give me the roller coaster any day.
