What classes did you need to take in high school to get into UMD and have a premed major? How was your Gpa and Sat scores? I’m a sophomore in high school but very nervous to apply to big schools
I got admitted this semester. Pre-med isn’t a major it’s a track to make sure you have your pre-requisites so you will still have to pick a regular major. If you want a science major like biology it’s in the limited enrollment program so it’s more competitive and has limited space. I had a 4.12 gpa, did not submit SAT because COVID, extracurriculars: track and field all four years, volunteered at hospital, medical summer programs, gymnast for 6 years, biomedical competition winner and I would say I had a good essay.
Biology AP, Chemistry AP, psychology AP, English AP. Take these exams too so you don’t have to take the class I’m college. Also I’d recommend dual enrollment in high school instead of taking the exams.
