Really neat little birds Cliff. Love that you modded the horns to give the servo the best mechanical advantage. Little things like that are the mark of a great builder. Looking forward to seeing these two fly! And the Raider...man you've got some test flying to do...
Hi Cliff, another great video, Thanks so much - I’ve watched several of yours on these miniature models, the Minimum Rc and the Microaces. Lovely looking models. How the technology has advanced. I don’t expect you are old enough to remember the KeilKraft quick built or Veron Ezebuilt. Sheet balsa box fuselage, sheet wings, all printed up. I remember being severely reprimanded at the club for flying one free flight, powered by a Cox PeeWee, as it did erratic stunts and buzzed through the flight line of the “Old Boys” who had to abandon winding their Wakefields and tuning their CL Team Racers. I never imagined that one day these small models could be Radio Control. I was told then, that bolting a PeeWee onto a 12 in. rubber powered sheet balsa FF “was not proper aeromodelling !” Eric
Hi Eric, thanks, that's a great story, although I had a PeeWee I don't remember ever having the space (or nerve) to let it go freeflight. I don't recall the sheet models you mentioned, what year would that have been to you think? But I am old enough to have built KK rubber jobbies and, your right, never would we have believed these would have been possible, my first model that I can remember was the KK Stinson, still got a soft spot for her, perhaps I'll find the time one day to put one together for old times sake, full house radio control of course 👍
You are getting really productive! Interesting to see work with other materials (apart from balsa). And of course, your craftmanship is on an extraordinary level!
Thank you! Cheers DC but I wouldn't go that far ... building a foam board kit isn't really on he same level as scratch building a Wellington Bomber, keep inspiring us we're looking forward to the next episode 👍
I’m thinking of getting one of these as my first Rc plane what glue do you recommend? And apart from the kit that includes radio and everything what tools do you need? I’m new to planes but not to all rc iv got a few rc cars but yeah quite a newbie when it comes to kit planes😂😂😂
Not at the moment Stephen, the momentum we had before Covid has been stifled somewhat but I'm sure there'll be plenty of those lovely calm blue-sky days during the winter to take advantage of. From experience the Minimum RC models do pretty well in a wind anyway 👍
i odered the pt17 kit but i didnt realize it didnt come with the receiver , battery or charger, so i ordered them. When they came , the servos and receiver connectors dont match and minimum rc says they dont sell servos with those connectors . I clearly did order these parts from them and when i emailed them they said they taske feedback seriosly. They sent me a second email verifying that they dont make mistakes and even though i asked for a parts list of the correct parts they again told me they didnt put those connectors on the servos. Well, i didnt put them on , thats for sure. These people are a joke and do not take customer fedback seriously .
Hi Ken, that's a sad tale, so the servos don't plug into the receiver? I've never experienced anything like this happening! Are the servo plugs bigger?
2nd responseThank you for reaching out to us again. We apologize for any confusion or inconvenience you encountered during your purchase. Upon reviewing your order, we did not find any records of you purchasing our servo system. It's important to note that we have never sold servo systems with 1.25 connectors. Please double-check your purchase records to verify if you acquired the servos from a third-party channel. You can explore third-party sources to find servos that match your connector type. Alternatively, you can consider purchasing connectors from our store if they are available. We take your feedback seriously and are committed to improving the clarity of our website to provide a better shopping experience. We apologize for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your understanding. @@CliffHarveyRCPlanes
that was several months ago on email. first order and 2nd order receipts gone. I dont know what to do . If i buy 3 more servos from them, they would probebly have the same sockets . If i bought another receiver from them, same thing ..And minimum rc recognized the problem by seeing the sockets but said , we dont put those connectors on our servos , even though my pictures show the objects in question sitting on their box@@CliffHarveyRCPlanes

Thanks Adam, the MinimumRC models are a given, it's the Raider that's going to be the most satisfying 👍
Great kit, watching for the maiden. Thanks Cliff
Thanks Dan, quick to build as well 🙂
Looks great, now you have a load of planes to maiden, good luck Cliff, fun stuff, Jeff in LA USA
Thanks Jeff, I do, cheers 👍🙂

Good video Cliff. Great little model.
Cheers MB, should be a fun little bird 👍

Nice little build Cliff, I like they way the body is built around 👍🏻
Cheers Chris, unless something goes wrong then it's out with the scalpel and tweezers 😁
Nice build Cliff 😄👍
It was pretty taxing Ian but I battled through 😁👍
Gr8 video, where did u get model from, cheers
Hi Graham, thanks, you can order directly from Minimumrc.com or Steve Webb in the UK sells a lot of the range, might be worth checking 👍

Hi Charge Lead, Uhu Por is good for foam models but I think the kit may include some, that call it UFO glue! There's also a knife, have fun 👍
Nice little model. Are planning to do any indoor flying ?

Ace!
Cheers Bob
Has anyone used the brushless rx and AP03 motor?
Well I haven't Carmaster but it would be interesting to see 😁👍
@@CliffHarveyRCPlanes thanks, I'm building the zero now but might try it on the hellcat!
Hi Cliff, stupid question. Was the glue provided good? Just wondering if I should get some foam safe CA or just use the glue in the kit. Thanks Mike
The glue in the kit was most usable Mike 👍
@@CliffHarveyRCPlanes thanks will give it a go. Mike
Gotta be honest, I like the look of these compared to the little profile warbirds they have. I hope they do more.
I agree Daren, although they aren't rounded in the fuselage they're a big step in the right direction 👍
@@CliffHarveyRCPlanes Definitely looking forward to your flight video!
Looks like "Cartoon scale".
Yes Morco, bit like life really (that's deep!) 👍
