That's how racing used to be when I was a kid.
McLaren brought loads of upgrades which made their car almost as fast as red bulls. Ferrari are bringing upgrades next race so hopefully we can have 3 teams fighting for the win

I watched this race on the edge of my seat, seing Lando leading the race, hoping he could hold off Verstappen, he held on till the end and joined the long line of F1 winners, fantastic drive.

What are you talking about, even after the restart no one could catch lando, even max, and if you watched the race you must remember that he was setting a lot of fastests laps and he was truly fast the whole weekend he was just really unlucky on the other sections.
well that was kind of why they did the strategy they did. they were waiting for the safety car

If there weren't any external factors you would see Verstappen win every race to the rest of time
@@leandrocanhanga7632what are YOU talking about? If it wasn’t for the safety car Lando would have dropped back behind Perez (who he may I remind you couldn’t even pass in the first stint) there is zero chance he would have passed 4 cars on that track😂
Lewis,Max and other great drivers got lucky with many safety cars
Max got screwed for like 30 secs,but hey we al love Lando Norris❤
Piastri got unlucky, when Sainz passed him it broke his front wing which is why he went deep at the next corner. So he had to take an extra stop for a new wing and it put him at the back.
If he waited a lap to pit and lando pitted first, he could’ve won instead

Max did allot of damage to his floor when he went over the curb and hit that cone. That and a perfectly timed safety car is why Max couldn’t catch Lando.
Max said after the race that he didn't feep any damage. It feels like Red Bull always say that they had damage, if they are not the fastest.
@@flo6119 You can look at Max’s lap times before and after Max hit the curb. They drop quite a bit after that. So whether he felt damage or not he absolutely had some damage otherwise the lap times wouldn’t have dropped the second he hit the curb.
@@DrewOrDie Norris was the fastest driver, when Perez came into the pit. I agree, that it would have been closer without the damage. But the damage was minimal. Charles was like 4s away from max in the first stint and around 2 seconds after the sc. So the pace was not that different before and after verstappen hit the cone.
This is factually wrong. He had a little damage to the floor, and Max himself said he felt absolutely no difference, so it was negligible.
The reason his lap times dropped off so much is because the redbull didn't work well on the hards.
All weekend, they couldn't get it set up how Max likes, which is with some oversteer.
It would oversteer sometimes and understeer at others, making it unpredictable to drive.
This didn't stop Max from bringing it into second place, which is an achievement in itself.
The Maclarens were just better than redbull on race pace, setting fastest laps before the supposed damage.
Norris set a lap in Q2, which would've got Pole in Q3 and showed the pace that car was capable of with the new upgrades.
Yes the safety car came at an opportune moment, but that's racing.
I'd argue Maclaren made their own luck by having a car, which was easy on it's tires thus allowing Lando to extend his first stint and benefit from the SC.
If the roles were reversed, you'd all be singing Max's praises as a goat and calling redbull tactical geniuses.
It's laughable how ungracious Redbull and Verstappen fans are.
They are a toxic fanbase full of denial and excuses and incapable of admitting that they didn't get it right this weekend.

I already stopped commenting because I realized I was wrong but I think you need to realize it’s a bunch or cars going in circles it’s not that serious
