  • Missed Side Kick To the Knee and Recovery
As emphasized, the Side Kick to the knee is, perhaps, our most formidable and debilitating long-range weapon. It requires precision. Therefore, you may miss and here is recovery option to press your attack home.
If you are facing an adversary in an opposite outlet stance (left side to right side or right side to left side), you can simply continue the Side Kick through by extending your kicking leg and sliding your base leg slightly to acquire extended range followed by a Backlist or #3 Elbow Strike.
If you facing an adversary and are in the same outlet stance (left side to left side or right side to right side) you must immediately deliver a Backlist or #3 Elbow Strike before or as you kicking leg touches the ground followed by additional combative as necessary.

David Kahn does all this whilst being handsome AF and looks better than Roger Sterling (John Slattery) from MAD MEN.

Train foot work, and control. Be able to stop a technique in mid air. If you miss you have constant control to redirect your attack, or reposition for renewed attack or defense

pretty cool… strike through your target and follow up. though your sidekick is a bit telepathic

Agreed, an open stance (what they are doing here) forces to much space between opponents, causing you to have to cover more ground, telegraphing your intentions easier.
