Steph, I'm a 30 year old married woman and would still go CRAZY over Bey blades! It was never just a "guys" thing. I know plenty of gurlies who used to battle each other back when we were kids. I'm surprised you've never heard of it before because Beyblade was very popular worldwide almost as much as Pokemon!
Bruh, I was sooooo obsessed 😂 Kai and the white tiger beyblade were my favorite, so I harassed BK staff to search for those toys in their secret stock everyday until they found him. I also got the pink haired girl and her beyblade but I didn't care about her and yet, she's the only one I have left 😢 I lost my baby Kai and the main dude!~
But ya, so I feel ya. Everyone at my school with a nerdy side enjoyed it. Plus I don't think those of us born in the 90s did much of the whole "girl toy, boy toy" thing I feel like at my school

as a kid i once invited my best friend at the time to play bey blades at my house after school and when he accidentally broke my favorite metal bey blade i kicked a 6 year old out of my home. thought wesley would enjoy knowing this lmao

6:17 This candy was made and sold in a small cart in front of the school. Since the children were watching the making process, they would secretly use their mother's ladle to replicate it at home with sugar and baking soda. Usually, mothers would not let their children do it secretly because it was dangerous and hard to clean up sugar or kitchen utensils. Both me and BTS have ate it a lot, but we don't have much experience making it, which is why Dalgona failed like that.

It might be overwhelming to start a whole new group tho, esp cos everyone is so diff personality wise and everyone has a variety show, they might end up starting someone's content they dont really enjoy long term,,,,i just want some kdrama or smth like that 😞

We played hopscotch that you throw rocks randomly onto the chalk boxes and avoid jumping onto the boxes with the rock(s) landed on. And you have to pick up the rock on the way back. Mostly I also played foursquare though, like wes and steph 😅 We even had an actual foursquare court on the school grounds, so we didn’t even need any chalk!
The korean chalk game looks super fun though! I watched this run bts several times, and only now got all the rules - I kind of want to play it now, maybe with a big piece of paper or something.

Hopscotch uses a rock (or at least thats what we used). You have to throw it onto the first box, then go through the boxes on one foot and not touch the one with the rock. Then, you throw the rock on box two, repeat, and so on until the last box. Basically, the hard part of the game was more so getting the rock to land in the box you needed 😅
You also have to pick up the rock on the way back.

I don't know if this is how you played it as well, but when other players fail at a box they leave their rock there, and you also shouldn't touch those boxes. Sometimes the game just becomes long jump, basically 😆

yesss wes i think its like chewy caramel candies. we have smth like this where we're from too. basically the sweet batter is melted to be put into whichever new shape you want or in their case they're carving shapes. it hardens up quickly so gotta be quick, i think they put the batter powder at the bottom if the plate in which they push so that the batter doesnt stick to it.

We had bay blades too it was fun. As I understand you have already watched In the Soop on Patreon before you watched this you probably missed part of the reference when Tae was locked out of the house and they asked for a password and he said it must either be Lachimolala or Rock Bison. They loved this so much it became something talked about later. It was a Run BTS they enjoyed a lot and had so much fun doing.

I used to play korean jackstone as a kid when my classmates would bring theirs, and idk why I enjoyed it more than the regular one lol
Jimin probably has the worst luck in run bts but he has created the biggest memes 🤣 with Rock Bison you have unlocked another army treasure in your journey haha (V also tried Rock Bison as a password in In The Soop when the others wouldn't open the door for him without a password)
The game where they are throwing the things and trying to flip them the thing they are throwing are made by folding up paper so depending on the type of paper you are using it make a difference as well. I have seen some other groups play where they first compete so see which kind of paper they will get to fold theirs and then play the game to flip each others.

I was in early teens when Beyblade was launched in my country but I loved the Beyblade show. Back then, as part of the marketing move to popularize the show and the toys, we could get Beyblades as free toy on purchase of particular brands of chips. We'd then have similar battles with the neighborhood kids; Beyblade was as popular as Pokémon back then (early '00s). I'm surprised that Stephanie hadn't heard about the show. Wes, I was as enthusiastic as you when I saw Beyblades were going to be one of the games that BTS would play.
My mom is a beast at the second game 😂 . We're from Algeria that game is everything !

Fam.. fam please.. 😂😂 dalgona candies are the ones they used in Squid Games, remember? They gave them out in Jinnie's Kitchen? And Squid Games only used childhood games.
And as for beyblade, I was soooooooooooo obsessed with them and collected what I could, to the point of harassing everyone lol aside from hounding BK for my fav, Kai and his white tiger beyblade, I bartered Yugioh and pokemon cards so hard like a little hustler for other kids' beyblades and characters 😅

On hopscotch, it's a game to train coordination. My school would make it sooo complicated and advanced, you almost looked like you were b-boying because you had to do these squares so fast and we would have reverse rules, where you had to go backwards, and the patterns would change and become so long it covered our entire blacktop.
Ahh I freaking loved marbles! I played with my grandma all the time, but we did it in school too and it was a rule that if you lost to whoever, they got to pick a marble that you played. I lost some of my coolest marbles that way. Also the "rubber slappy-slap game" (😂) you did see it before in another run episode. They used folded colored card paper before though. I presume these are plastic because they have to be light enough to bounce and flip. So Im imagining those old leap frog toys that were plastic and you push the butt to make them jump and flip? Excep these are flat so you smash them into each other instead 😅 im guessing.
