I went to concert from 1984 to 1995 and after Jerry’s death I did not could not listen to any of their music -- until 2020 - and I am very happy there is so many record shows and music, I miss jerry and the grateful dead

I was a security guard at Reed's ranch, until Owsley came through passing out fun.. I was at the University of Colorado and Folsom field. and the Family Dog, Just returned from Vietnam and was ready for fun.

Also. .. Straw on the floor turned dust clouds from so much foot traffic. Little to no lighting. The band looked like ghosts on the stage. .. Warm evening, and the band's repertoire combined to provide a less than stellar experience. ... Too bad I missed Owsley. Must have been elsewhere in the 'arena'.

My first show was in 1976, but 1977 GD actually melted my mind. Unbelievable year for an unbelievable band at the height of their abilities!

As a relatively ancient head marooned in Australia, would have loved to have seen the band at Red Rocks.

I saw the Dead, and I've been to shows at Red Rocks, but I never saw the Dead at Red Rocks.
I agree, I would've loved to scratch that off the bucket list. Red Rocks is hands down the best concert venue I've ever been to.

They played two nights after my 3rd birthday in 73. I don't think 73 is over looked one of the best years IMO. They didn't come back till 77 Big Mac. The first 78 shows where some of the best shows ever!

Never saw Jerry but with the Other Ones in 2002 with Jimmy Herring channeling his inner Jerry turned me into a dead fan for life

That show at Mile High to close the 1991 Summer Tour was one of my best times. They were in Bonner Springs Kansas for 2 nights, then everybody had 2 days to get to one single show in Colorado to close out the tour. The mix isn't great (JG can be hard to hear) but man were they on. Check out the Eyes Picasso it was unbelievable.

If anybody can even see what I'm saying
The grateful Dead will only be loved by the people that could hear through the cordage of the fingers through electricity inside of a colosseum..
The energy of a live concert is one thing........
I think that's all I really need to say....
    Nobody cares

2nd worst dead show I ever saw was at Red Rocks, think it was 83 or 85. Worst was Buffalo in Rich Stadium maybe 92 or 93. Luckily I saw many great ones but I definitely gave up on them after that Buffalo show. Left early, heavily bummed. The Dead doing The Who was seriously a bad idea.I was embarrassed for them. Keeping my good memories of the 2 Buffalo shows in 73, March and September, mind blowing goodness that changed my life.

That 6/6/92 show was my 30th birthday. I was primed for it and they played some of my favourite songs , second set especially should have been killer, but you're right, it was a pretty lacklustre performance. Plus it was hot as hades and we were packed like sardines in that concrete hellhole. ✌🍁
