Hi Pete, Thanks for your complete explanation, but i have some doubts: how the camera reacts in the presence of small animals (cats, rats and similars), and how it resists the bad the constant bad weather, includiding the accesories, because my home is in the coast.Greetings from Brazil.
the sensitivity can be increased or decreased to alarm when small animals cross the path. It is water resistant and not water proof so it can withstand splashes of water from all angles but not withstand submersion.
does anyone know if we could preset the viewing with this model? also if it has speaker and we can talk over? thanking in advance.
Pete, you have several security cameras from different brands, isn't it hard to monitor events around in/out side of your house with so many apps installed in your phone?

Had 1 c8w, its got confuse when it's raining. Its detected rain drops as human, happened alot when heavy rain.
Hi. As far as I can see this camera doesn’t have a zoom facility! Unless you can tell me something I can’t find on everything I’ve looked at about it. I’ll be very happy to be wrong as I’d love it to have a zoom!
You can pinch to zoom but it is just digital zoom and not an optical zoom so the pixels stay the same.
@@RCEscape yeah I thought it had no zoom as I was looking for one with a zoom. No good having a 2mp camera if you get burgled you won’t have a clear picture of the burglar.
I'm with you. He is showing a pinch-zoom but most desktops do not have a touch screen monitor, so for that application, there is no Zoom unless someone can show me how to Zoom using a desktop. Does anyone have an answer to this??

Thanks for the detailed description and explanation. I have purchased two cameras c8c 2 weeks ago and could not find any detailed instructions for use.
I have questions about the detecting mode:
1/ how do you put it on? Is it possible that it starts when someone goes in front of the camera without recording the scene? What is the procedure?
2/ I suppose that I need to put an sd card into the camera to put on the detecting mode. So it means that the videos are stored into the camera, but that you can read the sd card from your smartphone? Is it correct? So 2 camera mean 2 sd cards. Is it correct?
3/ I would like that my cameras can record only when detecting someone getting into its field. Can you explain how to do it?
4/ is it possible to set up the camera to detect only human beings, or also include animals? I would like to see which dog comes into my garden and record it also 😉

yes you will need micro sd card for each camera. without it you cannot record. I set mine to record all the time and motion detect also so I have before and after the detection recorded. simply go to the hexagonal icon and go into alarm notification to set it. I don't think it has AI to differentiate humans and animals or leaves blowing by and in my opinion those features don't really work on other cameras I've tested.

I do well understand. If you record 24 /7 how many hours can you store on a sd card 128 or 256 Go?
And once the card is full, you need to erase it or it starts all over and rip-off what has been recorded?
I suppose that you can monitor the sd card from your smartphone (I mean, you don't need to unscrew the camera and take out the sd card to any reader or PC? 🤔🙃).

Hey Pete 👊 sorry been awhile. Renter problems.. not a good time to be landlord.. Then when looking at mountain property. House was robbed. Took everything I own. Part's. Charger's..4 year's of buying gear. Gone.. I need a better camera than wyze they stole one! I don't Care what it cost. Need dependable camera. If Internet goes out still works. Fallows. Fewer false alarms. Can control how long it records after movement. And gets clear picture. If can't indentify. Useless. Cops barely do anything. Thanks brother.. miss flying.. miss posting and seeing friends.. Thanks for advice.oh and can share easily! So others can watch for you. 💪💪👍👍
Oh wow!! Sorry to hear that Bear. All security camera need wifi or ethernet but the only one I have that works without anything meaning no need wifi, no need power but needs cellular service is my REO LINK PTZ camera that works with a sim card and has a solar panel.

A very bad camera that cannot protect your family at all unless you are subscribed to the cloud service, which costs you a lot of money to subscribe and is only supported in some countries. I owned one and my house was robbed and my camera and memory card were stolen and I can't even play the last video on their App. I contacted ezviz support and they couldn't help me with anything.
