Opies took the word loyal to the death to another level, sacrificed his family and then himself,Opie was the bravest one ,staring death in face, and still comforting his brothers when he says "I got this".
Finally took the time to sit down and watch this show. About halfway through season 5 now. I thought Breaking Bad was untouchable. But I was dead wrong. This might be the best show of all-time.
Ryan Wile Fellow Buckeye here. I just started watching about 5 weeks ago and am about 5 episodes into the final season. GREAT show! I love how a lot of the great talent from shows like The Sopranos, The Shield, and Dexter show up on SOA. If anyone from Breaking Bad showed up, it would almost certainly cement SOA for the most well-cast show of all time.
Ryan Wile SOA may very well be untouchable, but I have to say that Breaking Bad has to rank as a series legend if there is such a thing. I agree, I'm watching it now for I'm not sure if its the 3rd or 4th time lol.. Season 3 & 4 I find the best. Another serie about outlaws I really enjoyed, based on true events too is "Gangland undercover". One of my other rly favorite series is the australian "Wentworth", bout a womens prison, it's now over after about 9 seasons. At first I saw the Dutch copy of it that is even better imo, only it stops after like 4 seasons.
I know this song from sons of anarchy and never payed much attention to it. I lost my little brother 3 months a go to cancer, I wanted to watch something to take my mind of the sadness and ended up watching SOA again. And then when I heard this song for the second time today and listening good to the lyrics I started crying cause it had me thinking about my little brother. Goshhh 😭 I miss him so much 💔
I often use this song to remember, I also love the ending.... I will not let my future go on without the help of my soul. God bless You and may your grief ease and only loving cherished memories stay
I feel you mate... The Sons Live! Rip Opie, Jackie boy, (shout out to Chibs) and all the other brothers how died In The show, But live In memories. #menofmayhem #igotthis
Opie's wake was one of the most powerful moments in TV for me. After knowing Opie for 5 seasons, seeing him going through so much, losing people he loves, it really made his death all the more devastating. R.I.P. Opie.
Dartanius100 I completely agree. I've seen all the seasons upwards of 10 times and currently starting season 5. EVERYTIME Opie's wake comes around I'm in tears.
Opie for me epitomised a single phrase for me; "Family doesn't start or end in blood, Family is simply Love." Such a fitting song for an amazing character
I wonder if the two guys that posted above me know this song was actually written for a child Sudanese refugee not some fictional character in a tv series..
I was born and raised in this lifestyle, I will not pretend or front.... I CRIED SO HARD. Opie, Jax are great examples of REAL "bikers" I have this song on my playlist and EVERY single time it's played is like the 1st and I cry. I cry for my mom....my dad....for every brother I've ever known.
I cried for Opie when Donna died, I sobbed and cried out loud when Opie died.. I cried for Jax when his son was kidnapped, and he fell apart. There are so many moments on this show that if you have a heart you will let your eyes leak.. and now I cry for those that do not take a moment to really feel each and every character on this show! Each of them have made a mistake, done something evil, but if you REALLY watch and pay attention they all have a heart. I love this show, and I do not judge any one on it.. Kurt Sutter you rock on with your talents~ You made this show #1 with your words of wisdom, the actors just played out your lyrics! Thank you SOA for making TV worth watching..
Chelli O'Connor how about when gemma told them about the zoebelle rape? with that Mary SONG in the backgroynd! that was one of the most moving moments I've ever seem on TV
I would agree and few "friends" these days would remotely step in when youre down let alone risk their lives like this these days which is sad. Still Jax & JTs suicides were fairly noble as well. Both Jt & Jax put their loved ones friends & the club first again few would.
handball4life And the most undignified death was probably Juice...Not just his actual death, but like his entire final season. Oh my god, just when you thought it couldn't get any worse for Juice....It got fucking worse.
tara's death was the saddest lol mainly jax's reaction. charlie hunham did an AMAZING job in that scene. when he takes that gasp in, if youve never felt a pain that made u cry like that ur lucky.
nice words, i think of some kids i worked with in youth rehab, many were abused , homeless and fatherless. It is closed now i wonder where those kids are now.
Laura Ofelia Knight Soto People can relate to grow up without a father, make wrong decisions in life, be afraid of losing family and friends. This show is not just about killing people you know?
Sabrina Hutt of course, most of the people that watch the show cant relate to that, but like a said before, they decided to live a life of crime, they made a wrong decision, and that many people can relate
" I GOT THIS "....Still watching this series in 2016. I re-watch SOA all the time. Everytime I see the Opie episode a wave of emotion comes over me. Mainly anger and sadness. I still say that Tig should have died not Opie. Opie was a true warrior.
Tig dying would not have had the emotional punch the show needed at the time. This loss solidified Jax's notion for changing the clubs ways. Also gave Tig's character an opportunity to grow as well.
Absolutely. See all that stems from Clay. Then Tig went and reacted on a lie. That lie got Opie, Bobby and so many other people killed. I hated they should have killed Tig when that happened then Opie probably would have never died. But I guess that is the direction the show had to go in.
Fuckin right. Opie was a true soldier. Tig shouldve died either after they found out he killed Donna trying to kill Opie or in the holding cell instead Opie.
its amazing how its just a tv show but when Opie died i cried. Its amazing how Opies death makes me feel like i lost a brother. He was the best character in the series, and its still hard to watch the show without Opie in it.
This song always made me look at the show differently! like this is so real! these guys are serious! This show will go down in history as one of the best! Opie lives on!
I just wrapped up this show late last night. I woke up still thinking about it this morning. What a roller coaster ride from beginning to end! Fantastic character development and an ending that will be on my mind for a long time. The songs featured in this series are top notch, just hearing this one again brought me right back to my last image of Ope.
I think this is one of the most underrated tv shows around the world. It's hardly ever nominated for any awards and it is by far one of the best shows I've seen past and present.
the waking dead season 1 and 2 are epic season 3 horrible and season 4 following the same path to terrible.was ahuge fan of the show until season 3. sons of anarchy though watched it on netflix couldn't stop watching it.
opie and his wife made me proudly shed more tears in 2 episodes than almost 100, episodes of a show that already frequently makes me emotional, put together. and thats why i love this show because they know how to make tv feel real.
This show fucked me up 😢emotionally, such good actors, script without fault, bikes on fire, characters played to the perfection,i will never forget you, you're part of me forever...❤❤❤ Thank you Kurt Sutter😊
This song was played at my Brothers funeral in 2013. Now he wasn't my real brother my father adopted him when he was 8 because he was my other brothers best friend an he had no mother or father they abandoned him. I grew up around him he will always be a brother to me.
Michael Amuzo Hey man, that's what a brother is. Blood doesn't mean a damn thing. It's the people who care about you and that you care about that make true brothers, sisters and other family members. Don't ever let anyone tell you different :)
+Michael Amuzo your exactly right there mate. you dont have to be blood to be brothers. i lost my best friend a few years ago. i considered him my brother and i know he considered me a brother. R.I P. to your brother.
I was so into SOA songs (Lately I've been wondering- S5EP02), that i landed on this page. Shit, now i know Opie die in coming episode. that's a fucked up situation. i don't deserve that. fck
fahad mohd That sucks bro. Sorry about that. I learned the same lesson the hard way. Thanks to the internet, I already knew about Hank's death in Breaking Bad and countless others from SOA before I even saw the episodes. You're not alone lol
***** holly shit man, i feel what you have gone through. By the way there was a TYPO " OPIE don't deserve that" rather than " I ". SOA has so many loose end, that i really cant blame TIG for Pope daughter.
He Def did I live his life and it's so fucking close you have no idea....he Def died like a soldier A superior soldier and a amazing friend , I'm tough as fucking and he found a place in my heart...God bless all our brothers
It truly doesn't matter... because every last word we from someone whether that be real life or TV life the words impact someone and others who hear it
I have to put my 2 cents in here.. I have never made a comment on here but after watching and hearing this song again.. Reopened some my eyes about opie... God I miss him in this show... And this song just make the strongest men cry.. S o a is the best show out... You can't not help.. But be a fan.. Miss you Opie!!!
Bayly Junker dude.. the last opie says before he gets killed, is, "i got this", and jax says the same aswell before hugging the crew goodbye... watch it yourself
So much thought went into this song, the lyrics are perfect word for word and it captures the emotion of the episode perfectly, this is by far the best song on soa !
I have never cried at a characters death more than Ope’s. He was genuinely one of the best written and broken characters to be created, after Donna, Piney, and everything on top of that. And to see him go like that, after everything hurt me so much. One of the best but heartbreaking shows and episodes of television I’ve watched.
totally agree Taras, Bobbys and Juices were up there for me aswell i probs felt difglferently about Jaxs than alot of people I liked the fact he had things straight and there was a feeling of being at peice about his i liked
+Adam Holland i guess i just have alot of sympathy for Juice and understood why he did what he did to a certain degree i no Bobbys was so sad and so was Taras i cried like a baby at that 1
Thank you for this number!!! Trust me you are a voice for the voiceless!!! Didnt know how to ask for help, couldnt explaine what was wrong but something was! I send this number to 3 of my friends 9 months ago... the same day they all came to my home and just hugged me and said "we Are here, we allways have and allways Will! What can we do for you?" I didnt know that day what to answer.. just daid you are here right now and that is more than enough ❤ you are a voice for the voiceless ❤❤❤❤
It's 16th Feb 2016, I started SOA 1st of January and I'm already in Season 5, the wake for Opie brought me here, kinda upset that he had to go, I'm hooked on this show, I never knew it would be this great, I'm just sorry I got on to it so late, I'm kind of sad that there's not long to go till I finish the show : (
I cried like a damn baby watching this scene on SoA... Felt like I lost a Brother. To this day, Opie dying affected me more than any other TV show character death.
This show is the greatest of all time, you get so wrapped it in that it's almost like you know them all personally and like it feels real. I have never come across that feeling in a show ever before or after this. So many episodes like opies wake that bring so many emotions
long live this song. This moment this song was hit changed my life. Thank you. SOA for life I will not be commanded, I will not be controlled And I will not let my future go on, Without the help of my soul
SoA introduced me to The White Buffalo, and it's been the greatest gem of music a show has introduced me to. I've since then heard him featured several times on The Punisher Netflix series
Kurt Sutter himself stated, "I wanted the final season to have Jax in his worst state of mind. With no moral compass or true north, nothing pulling him in different directions, just Jax, being a man."
Next season will be the final season. After everything that just happened, that is exactly where Jax's character is about to be. Might squeeze 2 more out of it, but that's it. jmo
Damn I miss sons I'm even still gutted on how the show ended :( , might have been a TV show but the cast did amazing and had such great chemistry. No show will fill the hole sons left behind :(
This song goes straight to the heart. I have never cried from a TV show since i turned 14. But the scene when Opie dies, that is just heartbraking. The tears just flooded out, and I still fell a tear or two, listening to this beautiful song. Hope it helps us all to cherish our good and close friends.
Even though his club got his family killed, he stayed. He knew it wasn't a club decision, and that they were in fact the only family that he had left, Jax especially. A loyal man who lost everything for SAM CROW and was still brave enough to sacrifice his life for SOA. Rest in Peace.
It’s very rare to find men like Opie cheers to everyone who lost brother. We don’t bury those we love underground we bury them in our hearts that’s why they live forever
I will never get over SOA. Thank you, Kurt Sutter.
Thank you Otto "Big Eight" Delaney

+Michael Amuzo your exactly right there mate. you dont have to be blood to be brothers. i lost my best friend a few years ago. i considered him my brother and i know he considered me a brother. R.I P. to your brother.
im sorry for your loss i feel bad for your foster brother
RIP Opie. He didn't deserve to go out like that. But like Jax said, at least he died a hero
Tig was need to be there not Opie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
I can only hope my last words are as powerful as "I got this".
Me too, but I'm pretty sure mine will either be "Hey, watch this!" or "Look! He's letting me pet him!"
Admiral John "Hold my beer......"
Admiral John same
It truly doesn't matter... because every last word we from someone whether that be real life or TV life the words impact someone and others who hear it
I cried and was like no ope…u don’t got this
I have to put my 2 cents in here.. I have never made a comment on here but after watching and hearing this song again.. Reopened some my eyes about opie... God I miss him in this show... And this song just make the strongest men cry.. S o a is the best show out... You can't not help.. But be a fan.. Miss you Opie!!!
I'm with you on that bro, Ope was probably the best character on the show.
❤💙
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I GOT THIS
Jax and opies last words....
+bustin nuts well not jaxs but he did say that also
+Bayly Junker he meant to each other
Bayly Junker dude.. the last opie says before he gets killed, is, "i got this", and jax says the same aswell before hugging the crew goodbye... watch it yourself
+bustin nuts Someone else caught that!!! Awesome! I actually miss this show as if i knew these people and they have passed or something.
We love Opie , amazing song with meaning ,brought me to tears..
This is the first show that made me feel all kind of emotions, and I've seen a lot of TV shows.
SoA forever.
So much thought went into this song, the lyrics are perfect word for word and it captures the emotion of the episode perfectly, this is by far the best song on soa !
Man this song rips me apart...
same here bro...the feels is real
Heisenberg Fpv I know what your feeling bro 💪🏻
Drones eye just finished this series oh man many tears pal in tears.. what a series .. soundtrack is the boss
Man i have watched it 3 times beginning to end and it still gets me every time...Soundtrack is amazing

+Lunuce202 and Alford24 Studios Thanks guys it's nice to see some good people on the net
Sounds like a true anarchist. I wish everyone who reads this a merry Christmas.
merry christmas to you too :) lol thanks
this song makes me cry all the time.
when I seen the episode I just didn't know how to react to it
the next seasons get even harder to handle
dashizzle you wait til the ending of SoA...
dashizzle1985 love this song
Don't cry, keep your head up bro
All that emotion ... damn! You just can't stop loving Kurt Sutter and all the crew.
I have never cried at a characters death more than Ope’s. He was genuinely one of the best written and broken characters to be created, after Donna, Piney, and everything on top of that. And to see him go like that, after everything hurt me so much. One of the best but heartbreaking shows and episodes of television I’ve watched.
Kurt Sutter said 'How much could one character endure? Opie had such a tragic story.'
With all the deaths in SOA Opies wake was saddest. He was like a brother to jax despite being a biker brother.
totally agree Taras, Bobbys and Juices were up there for me aswell i probs felt difglferently about Jaxs than alot of people I liked the fact he had things straight and there was a feeling of being at peice about his i liked
juice covered up taras murder - betraying jax but also protecting his mother ad bobby....ouch man!
+Adam Holland i guess i just have alot of sympathy for Juice and understood why he did what he did to a certain degree i no Bobbys was so sad and so was Taras i cried like a baby at that 1
+Chelsea Oliver wasn't fussed bout Tara or juice - bobby was sad but opie.....pass the tissues !!......I got this...
+Adam Holland Bobby's death fucked me up, too. Jax, too. Opie and Jax were fucked by the Club more than anyone, except maybe JT...
I can listen to this all day long and feel sorry and cry. Some people are just born to suffer.
But remember suffering builds character, something that i learnt the hard way
2019 and loving all the music from SoA
SOA is one of the best shows ever. Great acting, great music. Opie💔
Anybody 2021 still miss u opie rip
Opie will forever be missed. A great warrior and a noble man.
Million times missed, brother
Thank you for this number!!! Trust me you are a voice for the voiceless!!! Didnt know how to ask for help, couldnt explaine what was wrong but something was! I send this number to 3 of my friends 9 months ago... the same day they all came to my home and just hugged me and said "we Are here, we allways have and allways Will! What can we do for you?" I didnt know that day what to answer.. just daid you are here right now and that is more than enough ❤ you are a voice for the voiceless ❤❤❤❤
It's 16th Feb 2016, I started SOA 1st of January and I'm already in Season 5, the wake for Opie brought me here, kinda upset that he had to go, I'm hooked on this show, I never knew it would be this great, I'm just sorry I got on to it so late, I'm kind of sad that there's not long to go till I finish the show : (
🐺♠️
I cried like a damn baby watching this scene on SoA... Felt like I lost a Brother. To this day, Opie dying affected me more than any other TV show character death.
This show is the greatest of all time, you get so wrapped it in that it's almost like you know them all personally and like it feels real. I have never come across that feeling in a show ever before or after this. So many episodes like opies wake that bring so many emotions
The biggest series all the time,2016 summer, SOA 4ever
This was the moment every man's heart broke.
long live this song. This moment this song was hit changed my life. Thank you. SOA for life
I will not be commanded,
I will not be controlled
And I will not let my future go on,
Without the help of my soul
Opie was my favourite 😓
yes. big opie
Yes same 🥺😭💔😢😖😔
2019?
SOA is PERFECT
Soa has a great way of finding songs that hit you right in the feels.
SoA introduced me to The White Buffalo, and it's been the greatest gem of music a show has introduced me to. I've since then heard him featured several times on The Punisher Netflix series
" I got this "
jm is that u ?
poke is that you?
Same
Best song
Best show
Rest in piece
Opie
It's a best series I ever watch. So powerful and so real. Sons of Anarchy for ever !
200 por cent
Makes my cry all the time
Great song, great show. Song is about an African warchild.
Very heartwarming song. The loss of Opie was so sad. This is a very fitting tribute.
Just like everyone in the episode did I raised my glass in salute to Opie
it became my favourite song really quickly
SOA ONE OF THE VERY FEW SHOWS THAT MADE ME SHED TEARS LIKE A BABY. GREAT SHOW
Opie, the cool guy the stars weren't graceful with.
I won't lie, I cried.
Your defiantly not alone.
I did cry XD
I cry ffs
I cried on this episode...
I just now watched this episode today and I am SO pregnant and I was sobbing. And this song hit me personally to add onto the tears of Opie's wake.
ah man i almost cried when opie died. him and jax were true brothers, a great thing to have.
who is here in 2019?
😢
August 2019. Rewatching SOA. Just saw Donna die.
just binged watch from beginning to end in the 3 weeks. not a waste of my time.
💔
Be here until they play this at my funeral
This show hit me on so many levals. By far a excellent show. And opie is by far one of my favorite characters
As much as it is just a show when opie died I felt like I truly lost a brother...
Might squeeze 2 more out of it, but that's it. jmo
RIP mom and dad & sissy . We love and miss you dearly. We wish you were still here with us.
Damn I miss sons I'm even still gutted on how the show ended :( , might have been a TV show but the cast did amazing and had such great chemistry. No show will fill the hole sons left behind :(
"See you later brother."
It broke me when he said that.
เจอกันที่หลังพี่ชาย
รักโอปี้คับ
Such a deep beautiful spilling of the soul via song! Beautiful just beautiful
This reminds me of my old Freind who died of cancer a year ago 😢😢 RIP Sean Callahan
For Opie who died for the club and his friend a brother, and Half sack who died trying to save Abel
This song goes straight to the heart. I have never cried from a TV show since i turned 14. But the scene when Opie dies, that is just heartbraking. The tears just flooded out, and I still fell a tear or two, listening to this beautiful song. Hope it helps us all to cherish our good and close friends.
I love that song! I want that played for me when its my time.
Same
the sons of anarchy have the best music.....ope lost his whole family to the club.....
Yeah what a great character. And I agree! SOA have the best music in TV History!
Borther hood thats all we have
"I made brother's of a different kind instead."
It was nice
Even though his club got his family killed, he stayed. He knew it wasn't a club decision, and that they were in fact the only family that he had left, Jax especially. A loyal man who lost everything for SAM CROW and was still brave enough to sacrifice his life for SOA. Rest in Peace.
It’s very rare to find men like Opie cheers to everyone who lost brother. We don’t bury those we love underground we bury them in our hearts that’s why they live forever
I will not be commanded,,,I will not be controlled...And I will not let my future go on...Without the help of my soul...
