  • If you move to ITALY PERMANENTLY, one of the biggest steps you most likely take, will be getting your ITALIAN license.
    PS. Yes, I know that technically it should be licence (in AU and UK), but Americans spell it license :)

    Hi, just came across your channel. I'm a foreigner in italy i dont speak fluent Italian, i registered from patente in scuola guida and did my first theory exams after 3months and passed. Tips to help: If your driving scoul have a driving app that has questions in it do as many questions are you can i used to do 5 per day thats 2 morning, 2 afternoon and 1 bwfore bedtime. Didnt rely on my school book's and app alone i also went ahead to use study in TH-cam accounts name( Re dell patente) and installed ( guida e vai app) this will help so much and the first time you sit for your exams dont panic just relax they are so easy questions more easier than even the one youll be doing im quizzes. Good luck, im now learning for practical driving exams

    I love you videos! They are so detailed and specific regardless of what topic you are discussing. Thank you for all your insight. Great site and I have subscribed. My wife and I plan to purchase a home in a European country and your videos have peaked our interest in a quaint Italian village. Keep making these great videos.

    Hi Fiorella. I wish you the best of luck to pass the written and practical tests. I'm completely sure you'll eventually get your italian patente, most of the pressure being making it on the first trial. I am lucky enough to be the holder of a french drivers licence that is easily transferable/convertible to an italian one if needed.

    • @pamelabarbato1623
      @pamelabarbato1623 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi is that because Européen? im Italian but live in USA an I was just told i cant..is that reason why??

    • @jean-philippeplanas9682
      @jean-philippeplanas9682 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@pamelabarbato1623 Yes all EEC licences are transferable between countries. If you live in the states, it depends in which state is your drivers licence from (ie by which state it's been issued). Each European country has agreement with individual US states. For instance drivers licences from the following states can be transfered into french ones without taking any exam or test. It is just an admistrative process. Delaware, Maryland, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, South Carolina, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Wisconsin, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Colorado, Florida and Connecticut.
      Sì ogni patente di un paese della Communità Europea può essere scambiata con una patente italiana senza fare l'esame. È solo un processo amministrativo (delle pratiche amministrative). Forse lo stato americano dove appunto vive Lei ha un accordo con la motorizzazione civile italiana. Ne vale la pena di controllarlo se vuole tornare in Italia e continuare a poter guidare qua dopo un anno di residenza.

    Hi Fiorella. I did the patente b license five years ago, and passed, and I studied at home on my own, if you don’t want to, you shouldn’t need to go the school for the theory lessons. I studied the book when ever I could, and I did the quizzes online, 4-6 a day, even Sundays. Initially, I got many errors (22-20), but then they got better. I knew I was ready when 90% of my quizzes were passed. (0-3 errors) The driving exam was easy when you drive confidently, I didn’t even have to do the parallel park. I hope you get a nice driving instructor as some can be a little “interesting” to say the least. Good luck 💪

      @rossinniandco  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ciao. I did feel that I didn't want to do the school for the theory as I would slow the class down and add more stress, so I'm studying on my own with the book and practicing with the app.
      Fingers crossed 🤞

    It’s been a great worry and a reason to pause in my idea to move to Italy, can I exist without a car? My friend in Italy from USA, did pass it but it stressed her out so much! She studied like crazy. Beside the book, she got an online program, where she could answer the questions over and over again and kept learning from her mistakes. The whole ordeal was costly too! Love to hear about your progress.

    • @rossinniandco
      @rossinniandco  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Rosalie, yes, there are quite a few apps, some of them free.
      I'm practicing with one of them and as you say, as you see your errors so that you know where to work harder.
      I hope my experience helps you and doesn't deter you 🤞

    I love practical information like the content of this video. I have been thinking about the driver's license process to help decide if I want to be in a city without a car, or in the country which would require a car. I don't know if I want the stress and hassle. Being a part-time resident at first might be the best idea to get a feel for what I might need.

    Actually the "foglio rosa" is a temporary permit to drive for learning students, it's valid for a limited time and the form is printed on pink paper. It's not a reference to the color of the old driver license.

    Hi, thanks for the detailed video. I lived in Campobasso, too, and I am also going through the same procedure to get my driving license. Correct me if I need to be corrected, but I have called the office and do not remember where they took the test (public office). They told my colleagues on the phone that we could also take the test in English. Now, i am confused.

    • @rossinniandco
      @rossinniandco  28 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi. Unless things have changed in the last few months you can only take it in Italian, German and French as they are the official languages spoken in Italy depending on the particular region

    Could you have converted your Australian license to a UK one without living there? ...and then swap that for an Italian one simply?

    • @guineapigscotland
      @guineapigscotland ปีที่แล้ว

      No, in order to convert AU to an UK licence you need to legally live/reside in the UK for at least 6 months.

    • @rossinniandco
      @rossinniandco  ปีที่แล้ว

    Of course you have the follow the the law but the law should be logical and rational to transfer license from U.K. Australia and USA without too much bureaucracy but don’t be stressed ( easier said than done) but do the best you can

    Thank you this video has been very useful. My question for you is when you get your license are you on like a learners permit? Meeting you have to drive with another driver with an Italian drivers license. This is how I thought it worked? And that drivers permit lasts for a year or something like that?

    Do they let you take the exam in English?? Just wondering because in US , you can get most licenses, voting forms , and most all legal forms in Spanish or Polish . Might be more languages available, not sure .That's crazy the drivers license isnt available to you in English !? In USA we are a huge melting pot of people from all over the world .

    I would like your input if i may concerning finding a retirement home in Molise , I hold an Italian passport born in Larino but have been living in
    canada since I was a baby lol.
    I would so kindly ask your opinion on what are the obstacles should there be any if i would were to buy
    a home and retire in italy , I would be receiving a Canadian pension plus work pension and some retirement investments .
