I bought one of that for my son to train swimming, about 15 years ago, it survived years of training and high school. Then the strap broke and it went to a tool drawer for years, until I found it working like a charm, I bought a new strap and use it for years for my job in an industrial plant. I got fancier watches to dress but it was also my running and callisthenics watch for years, until the strap supports? broke, but I still have the watch body and is working perfectly so it's like a pocket watch. Amazing watch indeed.
I agree 100% with your review here. Some days I just want an easy-to-wear easy-to-read light watch. This one covers the essentials, it fits well, the digits are large, it has a usable backlight, a stopwatch that goes beyond 60 minutes, dual time, and it shows the local time in all modes. These were sold in multiple case colors for less than $20 each on Amazon US in 2021. I picked up 3 over time, in burgundy red, orange and dark green. These colors are no longer available as far as I can tell, which is a shame. Thanks!
This was my first ever watch wore it throughout primary school until the strap chipped. It survived my entire childhood, its a great watch for the money!
The watch is priced at £22.99 at Argos at the moment I bought mine a couple of years ago for £10 it’s one of the best watches to put on your wrist I don’t no if i would put it on if I was doing a ruff job I would probably put one of my g shocks on
I just got one for $22 on Amazon. Silver frame as in the video. I also have a blue one that is still going after 8 years. I swim and dive with it. I use the stop watch, alarm,, and dual time. Only negative is strap can break after a few years. New Casio strap is $13.
If you use my technique at night you won't have any problems figuring out where the light button is. And that is I Never keep my watch off my wrist 😂. Great review.
Ha ha thank you for your kind comment and yes I know it sounds like a pointless thing to point out but I thought it was worth mentioning. It is a watch that I loved wearing and do miss while I am wearing April's daily driver Casio. Cheers, Tony - WTA
I purchased mine from Argos a few years ago now for under £20. It is a good watch tbh and as you said very comfortable on the wrist. I have since purchased two more in different colours , red version and an orange version which I purchased on Amazon for under £20 each also. Great watches.
I've had one of these for a few years, all in black. Got scratched, but a bit of toothpaste, cotton buds and kitchen roll sorted that and made the acrylic look good as new :D
LOVE the big display. LOVE the functions it has, and it beats any $50K luxury watch in its utility and ruggedness. I HAD it on the shopping list, but I HATE the proprietary strap, that cannot be replaced with something else. WHY does Casio keep making watches, that too often turn into tosser after their plastic straps break, which either cannot be replaced, or only with a custom Casio or 3rd party replica strap.
Casio claim an accuracy of about 30 sec a month, but my experience after about a year of ownership is that it's far more accurate than that. Using a radio controlled DCF clock as reference, I consistently measure an accuracy of ~7 sec a month or even better! This is thanks to the excellent 3239 module.
It claims ten year battery life, which is very conservative. I changed the battery in one of mine last week after what I estimate to be nearer twenty years of ownership. I think the watch could have continued for a lot longer, but I noticed the backlight was not as bright compared with the other one I have. The figures were still as legible as they ever were, but I took it as a cue to change the battery. Having done so it is as bright as the other now. I only wish I could restore the finish of the watch to its original condition. The very thin coating on the resin body has worn off in places and the text thereupon has long gone.
It doesn’t have a vibrate feature. If you are after a watch with a vibrating alarm then check out the Casio W-735H. It’s a bit bigger and a bit more expensive than the watch featured in this video but it does have a vibrating alarm. Hope it helps! Cheers, Tony - WTA
@@Soulmaster4That is a great watch you've been recommended. If you want a vibrating watch with vibration snooze alarm that actually wakes you up, the GD350 is more recommendable but it's bigger and costs more.
I just wish Casio would offer more steel on their watches. The whole watch doesn't have to be metal but the silver plastic on this watch would look and feel much better if it was steel against the black resin case.
Thank you for your kind comment. I have just taken a look at my Casio W-96H and I can confirm that it doesn't have a Countdown Timer. Hope it helps! Cheers, Tony - WTA
@@wetryanythingchannel I just got back from town, and couldn't resists as they had a couple in stock. Already added the timer functionality, and replaced the backlight with a brighter red LED. It's a great watch at the current price, a real bargain, and very comfortable on the wrist.

This one and AE-1500 are my favorites when it comes to big & crispy displays.

An F91w is just as tough as G Shocks. If you manage to damage an F91W while wearing it, I dread to think what state your arm would be in.

I’ve had my eye on that one 💯 great review 🍻

Great channel! One question are the straps longer than the ones of the f91w? On the f91w i need to use the second to last hole
They are about the same length just that on the Casio F-91W the holes are further on down the strap.
Hope it helps!

@@wetryanythingchannelthank you. I just bought the GM-2100CB-1AER ❤ i thought it would be too big but it sits perfectly on my 8.6” wrist
This is currently on sale in Argos for £11..
It is and have already bought another one as a Christmas present for a member of my family. Such a great price for one of these!
