I've been looking at exterior paint colors and getting really frustrated by the trendy picks and barrage of greige until I found your video. Thank you for putting up timeless, tasteful color combinations. Exactly what I needed. I'm a satisfied subsciber now.
Hello, I would love some help if you can. I’m paining my exterior 2 story stucco home with different greys I’m having trouble picking the window trim color. First color for the base of the entire home is gray clouds 2nd color for above the garage trim and one wall on the side of the home is city scape. 3rd the garage and the blocks on the edge of the home is cyberspace. I want my windows lighter but not too light not white not sure what color. Can you help?
If you want a white trim, try SW Pure White or SW Aesthetic White (for subtle contrast). SW Tony Taupe or SW Urbane Bronze are nice if you want a darker trim.
What do you think of Sherwin Williams "Evergreen Fog" for house exterior? I've decided to use this color, but I'm still a bit hesitant to use it. I'll be putting grey veneer stone against this color too for the front of the house. I'll be painting my house in about a week. (Love how it looks for interior paint.)
Hi Melissa, I really enjoy your videos - thank you! Looking for the perfect trim for exterior (full sun) to go w/ Magnetic Gray (base), Tin Lizzie (accent, shingle panel), door likely Salty Dog. Right now I'm looking at Extra White, but wonder if it will be too stark. I do like white, but not yellowing. Interior will be warm color such as Accessible Beige or Sohji w/ a crisp white trim.
I have a very visible navy blue metal roof. Would a bluish grey or other tinted grey be a good contrast in your opinion? Maybe a tope or something else with dark trim etc? Thanks!
Yes, a light or medium neutral gray, or a gray that leans cool, or has some blue in it, would work well with a navy blue roof. Whites would also be a good choice, and also light greiges.

There are so many fun options for a coastal home! If you like color, check out SW Tradewind, Dockside Blue, Banana Cream, Oyster Bay, Clary Sage, and Naval. If you want something more subdued, you can try something like Gray Screen or Agreeable Gray with white trim.
These are great. Our house has a brown composite roof which seems harder to pick a color for than if we’d done a charcoal roof. Any chance you could do a video on pairing a color to your roof color?
I would say number #4 will look great on on a brown roof, but if you like a darker color #6 would also look great.th-cam.com/video/EyIBRVzLTno/w-d-xo.html
Hi Melissa, thank you for this video, these are fabulous choices. I have couple questions - My house has is an older house that we are trying to make look modern. The exterior textures are knockdown stucco (45%), shingles (20%), red brick chimney (15%) , garage door (15%) and white window trims (5%) + the trims and gutters that are usual. 1. Do you think a Repose Gray with white trims and garage door would go with red bricks? 2. What could we replace the shingles with to make it look modern? Thanks!
Yes, Repose Gray typically works well with red brick since it has a hint of warmth to it. For your shakes/shingles, you could try replacing with something more modern like horizontal or vertical wood cladding. Board & batten could be another option.
Please include actual pictures of homes you have painted with these colors. Also, colors can come across differently on stucco. The rendering doesn't seem real enough to me.
It wasn't easy limiting my list to just a handful of colors, but light blues can be a great choice! Two of my favorite light blues for exteriors from SW are Uncertain Gray and Krypton.
Never buy Sherwin Williams paint, you will get cheated. I bought SW Dark room colour. It looked totally different colour than my sample color of dark room. When I took it to the SW store in Sebring Fl, the manager said it is becouse I bought the glossy, then he said it is the fault of Rain Refresh product of Sherwin Williams. the sample looked more blackish in colour, but the 5 gallon paint looked really ugly when I painted on the trim and garage, it had more majanta than sample color. I will never buy again Sherwin Williams Paint. I had realy bad experience.

can you help suggest any combo colors with existing painted red bricks?
what white trim would you use with Accessible Beige
Loved #4 Accessible Beige, could you suggest trim color that goes well along with it?

I was set on worldly gray but am now considering repose, what do you think of Worley gray?
Worldly Gray is a beautiful, warm greige. It's very similar to Repose Gray, with just a hint more beige to it.

Which one of these colors would go with a tan metal roof and yellowish brick
Colors that would work well with a tan roof and yellowish brick are going to be darker greens and blues, off-whites, and dark grays.
Which paint is best for exterior a flat or gloss paint
Flat for stucco. Satin/eggshell for siding and trim. You can do semi-gloss for trim, also.
@@welshdesignstudio thank you 😊
How do I get that color chat you are holding
You can buy Benjamin Moore and Sherwin Williams fan decks on Amazon (affiliate link): bit.ly/3q7KrtX
Hi I have a new home on the beach, I’m trying to find the right color, the home has a black roof with white windows, any suggestions?
Looking for exterior paint color for light gray shingles
SW Repose Gray is a beautiful light gray, or anything on its same paint "strip"
Thank you very much
Great video ...do you have a Benjamin Moore?
Yes I do! th-cam.com/video/EyIBRVzLTno/w-d-xo.html
Have you done videos of exterior white trim?
Not yet, but it's on my list to do next!
Do you have any recommendations for exterior paint colors for Coastal homes? It’s so tricky other than Sea salt.

I have a red roof and all I see is gold 😞
Yeah, a red roof can really dominate your exterior look. Did you know you can paint a roof?
Colour code send
??
This is pointless when all the colors are combined with a dark roof. What is my roof is a gray tone, then what?
