i found it so strange how she would always just talk about his looks (same as her friends). They spoke about him like he was some object and then during the last week she gets depressed because he wont sleep with her? Thats disgusting and makes me think like she might have had some fetish. It makes it even worse later when she gets all angry at Colby, acting as if she wasnt begging Randal to sleep with her days before that
I completely agree! I also didn’t like how inebriated she often times appeared drunk/wasted. No offense to that and hey, to each his own! But it just made me feel sad for her that she often drank and could easily do things she would regret once sober OR even blame any repercussions of her drunk actions on the alcohol instead of taking responsibility 🫤
@@sadesuarez2954 yes! And she also kept saying how “perfect” he is. I get the appeal- Randall was attractive and appealing to me as well 😆 but to keep saying someone is “perfect” - ooh! Just immediately makes me think, “you’re in for a rude awakening - just a matter of time 🙃”.
@@okoala62 Yeah it was so odd. or the whole "type on paper" thing. What exactly is her type on paper? Because all Randal was ever talking about is how she was "easy to talk to" (which she clearly isnt) or how she is so affectionate or (which she only did because she wants to sleep with him). Its still interesting to me how COMPLETELY different she is towards Randall than colby. Her weeks with Randal she was only dressing nice and kept seducing him like literally she couldnt talk to him without making those odd facial expressions and changing her tone of voice yet with Colby you finally learn her real voice, real way of talking and her natural facial expressions.
That was so weird. She started crying because he didn't want to have sex with her. She was so affected by it and a month later she marries Colby like nothing happened. Their relationship makes no sense to me! 😱
Really interesting to look back at how Colby consistently blames other people for his make out sesh. In this scene, it is somehow Zay’s fault. In the next episodes, he claims it’s Madlyn’s fault (“he did it for HER!”).
His comments towards Zay made no sense however i still see no issue with what he said about Madelyn. Literally every couple there kept talking about how they were doing this for their other partner or for their relationship, whilst locking lips with others.
@@sierratree93 I think he worded it poorly, and I can see how Madyln would've been irritated by his desire to have things even-steven, and that it would be bad because the other person might not fully understand the situation, and therefore might seem scarily available for future cheating, but I don't think that his motivation was terrible. It is bad that he went outside the show for the trial relationship, but the experience the show is supposed to provide wasn't available for him and April, so there is a benign reason for him to do it, though he might have gone about it in a bad deceptive way.
@@poponachtschnecke Yea I think he worded it that way for the cameras. Because his explanation was just “I didn’t get the experience I thought I would in this experiment, so I did my own”. Don’t know that it was bad, as long as it was communicated, which with the way the show was edited, who knows. This group of people seemed to be very cognizant and pretty savvy about what they said in front of cameras, which often made it even more confusing in addition to editing.
@@sierratree93 is he wrong though? Her not wanting to marry him led to him giving her an ultimatum for them (mainly her) to figure out if they want to get married of if there are other people more suited for them. He gave her the ultimatum, but unliked many others, he didnt complain, throw tantrums or cry over her slobbing someone else or druling over another guy or begging another guy to sleep with her. He respected that this is the choice THEY made. She would constantly complain and be upset about how he was "too sure" infact in one episode she even predicted that wouldnt give the experiment a fair go (as in wont try to find a connection) because of how sure he is of her. Well he tried it FOR HER since him being SO SURE he ONLY wanted her was so triggering apparently. Also nobody gets dragged on the show. They all had the choice to say yes or no and all said yes probably because they liked the idea of insta followers and being able to cheat without consequences (or so they thought).
on the confusion regarding colby and zay, I interpreted it as zay did not hookup with anyone and colby did. the issue was colby tried to pass some of his responsibility for making out with the girl onto zay, because he talked to her first and sent her colby's way. so colby is basically saying, "Yeah I made out with her, but only cause you told her to!" and zay is very upset that colby would frame it in a way that makes it look like zay was responsible for colby's infidelity. he's coming off as extremely fake because he's not being honest that it was on him and had nothing to do with zay.
I was confused AF during that whole interaction too; i rewatched it and still didn’t get it 😆. And as the person above me replied, yeah, we later see how Colby washes his hands of all his transgressions 🙄😆
@@mookieluvsyu he didnt cheat though. And he is right in saying he did it for "us" lol. I mean they did the experiment for their relationship. The rule is that they are single for three weeks to test if their partner is right for them or not. Madison sees this as a last hoorah. For some women, stealing another woman’s man is the biggest flex. Especially being able to steal a black man from a black woman. Madison wants to feel like she’s so hot. And Randall isn’t making her feel superior physically to a black woman.
I really hope he does some background into what other people are saying about the situation as well. I just dont want his opinion to not be complete because there was a misunderstanding of what happened bc it was alooooot.
"I promise you I'll respect you to the utmost" says the one who refused to stop discussing something after she repeatedly asked him to drop it, refused to give her space, followed her into elevator, followed her outside, and tried to restart what he was trying to say before which she made clear she didn't want to discuss. Yikes.
Madyln can sit there smirking and being shady towards other women. She can sit there making mean comments ON PURPOSE to get an emotional reaction out of other women but she cant handle such a simple conversation? Nor can she handle having a guy not want to sleep with her? ok
Right! She forced that painful info about Randall being intimate with her down shanique throat but Randall does it to her regarding her man, she can't take it. Girl bye. Karma.
Colby was not taking any responsability for making out with a random girl in the bar and blamed it on Zay saying that he set him up with the girl, phrasings it in a way to put himself in a good light and make it seem like he had no choice but to make out with the girl. So Zay is not accepting any blame for it, saying that Colby wanted and pursued the girl. Also yes everyone is intoxicated most than half of the show. And Madelyn was not crying because of Colby, she says later she was crying because she wanted to be intimate with Randall and instead he kept rejecting her and talking about his night out.
I never understood why 60% of the fights on this show were happening. I understood the Zay and Colby fight, but didn’t understand why Madelyn was so upset. Thank you for explaining it
All I got from the Randall and Madlyn scene was Randall could sense she wanted to be intimate and he didn’t want that himself, so instead of straight up saying “no” he was trying to throw Colby in there to distract her. It’s very clear he didn’t want to sleep with her and she couldn’t handle being rejected.
Oh wow, that’s an interesting analysis! I didn’t think of that upon watching that episode. I forgot how uninterested he was in having sex with her. He very well could’ve been throwing the Colby story in front of her to avoid intimacy. I had thought he was just being insensitive or possibly gay. I also didn’t factor him being drunk when watching this.
6:57 seems like him gloating/trolling, he wants her to react, he wants to hurt her it seems. He did not get the response he wanted from her so he is ham-fisting and repeating so he can see her cry/get angry. Maybe you are right, maybe he just wanted to shift the focus away from sex and the best way was to make her angry/sad about Colby. (more specifically you can see his smirk at 7:09)
i loved that scene because he kept complimenting her for how mature and easy she was yet she is the complete opposite. She cant handle such a simply conversation but laughs any time she is being insensitive and rude to someone else.
I think he truly had no intention of sleeping with Madlyn and was trying to find a way out of it and what's the easiest way of doing that ANGER them. Also, I'm sure it made her feel pretty insecure that he didn't want to kiss her on camera. And Shanique was upset when Madlyn was goading her but she didn't give her the explosion of a response I'm sure drunk Maddy was hoping for.
I agree with a lot of the comments lately that ask you to watch more of the show (maybe the full episode) before reacting . I would be curious to see more of a debrief or an analysis rather than an in-the-moment reaction. That could be an interesting format to try out sometimes. I love your channel!
To me, I thought it was clear Madyln was expecting that they would have sex that night. She was upset because Randall wanted to talk about Colby instead of being all over her. Her plans were ruined.
@@unicornL I know exactly what you mean. It's not about her physical attractiveness, it's her attitude that changes that perception of her attractiveness -- kinda like that book the Uglies and how your personality makes you look pretty or ugly inside and out.
@@dominiquemathews8617 One of the proposals made some sense when you watched the reunion show and saw it was 6 months after show and did a little math.. Don't see it working long term though.
If I remember correctly Madalyn was mad because she just got back from the girls night and wanted to seduce Randel, but all he wanted to do was talk about Colby. I think she was hurt by Colbys actions and also Randels rejection and was lashing out.
Yes- They are both intoxicated. This is from the same night that the girls went out and Shanique had to walk away from Madlyn (Madlyn is wearing the same outfit)- This whole sequence was massively confusing.
Very interesting. Randall pushing to "be heard" could be a small microcosm of how he treats Shanique on a regular basis. Then Madilyn curses him out here multiple times yet he never said she had a bad attitude. In fact, he's quite gentle, non-accusatory and apologetic. Interesting how that played out.
Every point Randall made about shanique I kind understood but then my understanding went out the window when he kept complimenting Madlyn who is already showing red flags in a three week relationship. It also annoyed me how he didn't understand why feeling missed was so important to Shanique lol I was done with Randall tbh. When Shanique said f the ring I agreed with her. No way I would keep wanting a ring from someone who wouldnt miss me and only had bad things to say about me lol 😅. It was just depressing watching Shanique miss him and talk about how much she loves him meanwhile, loverboy is out there snogging someone(making sure it's off camera) and telling her how right she is for him. Lol like was this his revenge on Shanique or was he really that mad?
This scene was very confusing. But as i understand it they were all allowed to go out as they wanted to and Zay and Colby were at a club after they were all paired up. Colby kissed a girl and then was trying to blame it on Zay . And that's what Zay was upset about.
The way I interpreted the Madelyn and Randall scene (how it was edited) was that she was just coming out of bragging to the girls about how Randall wants her physically, and so she was craving his physical attention, but all he wanted to do was talk about Colby, so it felt like he was rejecting her physical advances and telling her she should feel bad about Colby. I think Randall got the message that Madelyn just wanted to focus on them and shove the Colby issues aside, but felt uncomfortable pursuing more with her without addressing this new issue in her relationship with Colby (at least to his knowledge). But the editing is so questionable that it could be a completely different situation, but the way they cut in that bit in the end makes me feel she was more upset about being physically rejected in that moment than about the content of the news itself.
The only thing I could think about was Madelyn saying "I cannot wait to go make out with Randall", pretty sure she was pretty horny and just wanted intimacy. Randall was like a kid with glee about the dirt on Colby, I guess he wanted her to furious about Colby so he could be his knight in shining armor? Randall was so out of sync there, a different planet those two were on. The whisper at 10:20 is NOT what they wrote... I cannot hear what she says but it is much shorter.
Dr. Kirk says all she needed to do was say she heard the story and end the convo that way. But something tells me he's telling her the story so she can have a negative reaction to it and he can come swooping in to rescue her with his love. Or he wants her to agree about her bf being a douche. Either way seems problematic.
@@Wendyroo6817 Yes, That is what I got from that interaction too. She was saying I want to be physical with you and all you want to do is talk about the guy who I came here with that I don't like. I don't care about him. Why aren't you getting physical with me? I don't care about Colby!
I think she was ultimately upset about the sex thing, from her confessional she fully expected to leave Colby for Randall and was upset that he was more focused on bringing up Colby instead of how they could be together. Totally killed her buzz from rubbing her relationship with Randle in Shanique’s face
Can you discuss the fact that Zay has a great deal of trouble communicating, and possibly has some kind of PTSD related to his childhood? (He explained bits of his childhood in one episode)
I don't know, I was in a 6 year relationship and never got into an argument remotely close to what happens on these reality shows. Are fights like this somewhat normal? If so, maybe being single now isn't so bad.
I think if you have to go on a reality show where you partner swap to solve your problems, you have deep problems you should probably be in therapy for. It is not normal.
Same with me but you have to think they chose their contestant, they don't want a boring show, they must have psychologist behind the scene carefully planning how to get the most reactions, but some of them seem to be doing great on their own... It would not even surprise me the girl that was introduced would be an extra or appointed by the show to stir the pot.
No. They're not normal. They're a sign that a couple needs to (at least) go to therapy. Some of the fights actually reminded me of ones I had in an abusive relationship. This whole show is pretty much just examples of signs that you should end your relationship.
@@codydavis3100 it's okay, thank you! It was years ago and I'm in a very healthy, supportive relationship now :) And experiencing the contrast between a healthy relationship and toxic ones makes me even more confident in saying that, if someone is in a relationship and has fights like the ones on this show, they really need to either seek professional help or break up.
I didn't find these conversations confusing. Zay was mad cause Colby was trying to make it seem like Zay made a girl make out with Colby but zay had nothing to do with it. Then Madelyn wanted to make out or do more with Randall when she got home but he rejected her because the cameras were there. then he wanted to tell her about Colbly but Madelyn didn't want to hear it because she was so focused on getting with Randall and it probably hurt her feelings to hear about Colby.
Yep. Madlyn got drunk and blew her up own head up all night bragging to Shanique like "HAHAHA I got your man!! He gets turned on by MEE!!" And when she came home to prove herself right, Randall wasn't into her, wouldn't kiss her on camera, and only wanted to talk about their other partners. It's actually fascinating to see her ego so quickly deflated after so confidently bagging on another woman all night.
@@Hesadryt Agreed. I needed Dr. Honda to translate the argument at the “selection dinner” too. Like listening to teenage gibberish. All I heard was “IM RAISING MY VOICE” “IM EXTREMELY EMOTIONALLY ELEVATED”, “SAY SOMETHING IMPORTANT AND PROFOUND”, “LOUD NOISES, ANGER! FRUSTRATION!!”
I didn’t understand what happened (despite rewinding that scene a few times). I appreciate Dr. Honda’s attempt to explain the scene. Things are (slightly) clearer now.
@@andedom after reading other responses, I think the edit is an attempt to create the first bit of storyline for the later “I made out/fooled around with someone for you” that the show tries to push later, which after having seen the end of the show seems really forced because it didn’t go anywhere, no one involved (Colby/Madlyn) seemed to care or have it influence their decision. It’ll be good jumping off points for the doc, but it seemed like a really contrived piece of drama.
throughout the show randell kept sayiing "theres no purpose for this, there's no purpose for that" and it was so infuriating. Like obviously there is a purpose bc that is how the person is feeling. he didnt see a need for the more emotional side of things even when he was the cause of that emotion, he didnt show that he was able to put himself in another's shoes in those moment.
I think Madlyn fell in love with Randall hard and it hurt her when he brings Colby into the conversation. And I think she is also hurt because her feelings for his Randall was real but Randall is treating this as an experiment instead of genuinely falling in love with her back. I think for her, being open on camera brings affirmation.
Love watching these breakdowns. I am British, it is probably difficult to get hold of in the US but would to see you breakdown a British reality TV show like Love Island UK or The British Apprentice!
I don’t think it had anything to do with Colby she was upset because 25 minutes beforehand she bragged about kissing Randal and then she said now I’m going to go home and make out with Randal so she was expecting him to share that same kind of enthusiasm when he saw her she’s a manipulator
Dr Honda, sometimes i wish you would watch the show before hand instead of reacting on the spot. I think you misinterpret some conversations because you don't get the big picture and you speculate after watching 20 seconds. You could even watch it with your wife, talk about it and then make these videos about the behavior that you think it's important to talk about, scenes, dynamics between people etc What i am interested in is a breakdown of their behavior and what we could learn from that and not necessarily the spontaneity of the reaction. I don't know if that makes sense. I think that if you'd watch it start to finish you'd get a better grasp and a better understanding of where their reactivity comes from. In the case of Madelyn and Randall, she said that she was crying because Randall refused to be intimate with her that night, not because she found out her fiance cheated on her (but why I wonder?). I was looking forward to you reacting to this show because i find Madelyn and Colby's relationship so confusing. Thank you for your videos, they have helped me understand and be more empathetic to people around me and also get to know myself better as i recognize my behavior in some of the people you react to.
Totally agree, after watching the show I was so excited to see what dr Honda had to say about it (I kinda got too invested in lol), but then it's so frustrating when he's missing out of like 80% of the context :(
@@FaTima-lr8yf same. I was looking forward to his input on Madelyn especially. Her behavior was the most shocking to me. She displayed a lot of contempt for Colby and her friends as well. Seemed like she really didn't want to be with him and in the end they were all over each other. Unless her character was heavily directed to look that way there is no other explanation i can find for what happened.
When Dr honda was talking about the amount of hope at the start of new relationships, I cringed, I am that muddy little puddle! 😭 I started dating a guy and he seems a bit starved for affection and wanting alot more than I can give him!
Okay, so Madlyn is hurt that Randall is only willing to be affectionate off camera. That makes her feel like he's embarrassed of her, something I think she has specific trauma about. (Refer to the conversation she had with her mom about what Colby does for her.) Also Randall keeps talking about Colby and she doesn't want to deal with that right now. She was thinking they were both going out for drinks and they'd come home tipsy and make out so she wants to drop the subject and talk about them.
I wasnt sure if the "vulnerable off camera" was referring to physical intimacy or if she was frustrated that he has opened up to her only off camera and he was trying to force her to hear upsetting news that would make her vulnerable while the cameras were there..
@@regank4509 You're right. She could be speaking about just about being verbal. She kept insisting that physical affection was so important to her and then it was such a big deal when he finally showed her affection and then kissed her on camera that I think that's more likely what she meant. It can be so hurtful and traumatic if it feels like someone who claims to love you hides you or that love for you that you can be so sensitive to feeling that way again. I think she has felt that before and it's Colby's exuberant claiming of her that she is drawn to. It's his saving grace. He'll never deny his love of her. But who knows? It could be strictly verbal. That makes sense too.
If I was on a reality show like this (and I never would be) the first chance I got I'd work out a signal with my partner that meant "I promise we'll talk about this soon, but not in front of the cameras."
Colby did not cheat on Madelyn. The experiment is for them to be single for THREE weeks. There was no rule as to which person they are allowed to kiss or not lol I found it odd how Madelyn later reacts considering she was begging Randal to sleep with her
Doesn't that depend on the couple, though? The show is the show but we don't know what conversations or agreements they had prior to going on. For example, if they said kissing or sleeping with someone else wasn't an issue but lack of communication around when you wanted to or planned to was, then he failed miserably. And clear communication/participation in decision making is fairly common in open relationship dynamics so it honestly could have been an easy convo - it just seems like he wanted to do what he wanted without transparency around the nitty gritty lol.
@@diamcole 1. Madelyn literally complained in one episode about how Colbyn wouldnt give this experiment ago because she was worried he wouldnt even try to find a connection (i belive that was in the first episode of them getting to know eachother). She was also only complaining about him being TOO SURE of ONLY wanting her. You cant complain about a guy being "too obsessed" with you, beg another guy to kiss and sleep with you and then get upset that you significant other TRIED to date somebody else or complain about them having had ONE kiss with somebody else. Imo it was fair play that Colby did what he did because he WAS the only guy who didnt get an option. He wanted the brunette but couldnt have her so how exactly was he being tested? He atleast tried to test himself since the experience was basically taken away from him by Nate.
@@LK-rt9cb you cant agree to only date people in the couple pool when not everyone is given fair options though. I will give Colby a pass simply because him and April were the ONLY people who were not able or allowed to couple up with the people THEY connected with, who were in the couple pool. And tbh what difference does it make if the person "cheats" on you with someone in the couple pool or outside? Either way the experiment is still being carried out
@@sadesuarez2954 I don't disagree with you! I wrote my initial response around the complexities of "cheating" and the communication that goes into successful, open relationship dynamics. My only thought is that he should have just communicated exactly what you said lol it makes sense, that's why they're there right? But his choice not to share that he was branching out from the contestants in the experiment to someone outside of it (who was NOT a part of the same process, agreements, etc. as other cast members were) was the flag for me and in my opinion, speaks to a much larger issue in their relationship. It could have just been a conversation instead of something that was turned into some sneaky link situation.
So he made out with that girl during the three week period that he was supposed to be with April because they had agreed that they were platonic. So he still wanted to have the same experience as Madilyn and found someone else to talk to romantically besides April since they were stuck with each other essentially. But I think most of the reason why she’s mad at Randall is because on camera he won’t be affectionate with her, so she thinks he’s trying to hide his feelings for her and in turn making her look “crazy” when she says “we have a connection”. That’s why she emphasized “he kissed me off camera” because she knows that what he had presented to the camera wouldn’t represent how she’s saying he feels about her.
Wow. Realizing that crying is okay when in fight and my dad screaming at me is the one who has a problem (and not vice versa), I never though that could be the case. Thanks.
I think the reason Randall wouldn't give her space was because he's used to Shanique wanting him to exhibit that behavior. Based on an interaction we saw between the two of them, Shanique seems to be very passive and wants him to chase after her.
Colby is manipulative and never accepts responsibility for himself. Sick of it. He always wants to play the victim. Madlyn, Alexis and others have called him out on his behavior.
This show clearly needed to have boundaries in place. Why is ir cheating that coby made out with some girl in these 3 weeks, but if madlyn would have had sex with randall, coby would just need to accept it? I am not defending cobys manner of going about it and blaming everyone else, but to me it is not evident why madlyn later on in the show makes it to be such a big deal when she clearly wanted to be very physical wjth randall. But yeah her words towards randall (a guy she is in new relationship bliss with might i add) are a bit painful for me to hear. But randell doesn't give her space and doesn't drop the issue either
I think this was drawn out because they were intoxicated. It looks like Madlyn was hurt that he kept talking about a hurtful subject. Also, I think she’s frustrated because she really likes him and desires closeness. Randall was unable to hear her signal for vulnerability from him.
Honestly, yes he was drunk but I think he was basically alerting her to the fact that he walked into this experience expecting to leave with Shanique and still does. He keeps alluding to the idea that they need to be thinking about life after their 3 weeks together. She ONLY wants to talk about her relationship with Randle (she literally has talked about how much she doesn’t like Colby) I don’t think she can take the idea that Randle might not prefer her over Shanique after she tried to rub it in Shanique’s face.
Randall slurring and babbling drunkenly and always giving someone the benefit of the doubt, Dr. Honda says "I think Randall is intoxicated although I can't really know". Lol
What I can sum up from the Madelyn and Randall situation is that she stated how she felt so comfortable and relaxed with Randall conversations in a way she hadn’t with Colby and her way of expressing it (besides communicating) is sexual so when he turned her down it definitely crushed her adding on to the fact that part of her had the ego of gloating to Shanique that her man wanted her and adding on that Randall was only emotional off camera so to bring up the Colby Situation made it come off ass disingenuous and embarrassing. Also getting rejected on live camera didn’t help. Those 4 factors is what caused that meltdown.
I love that your giving a professional opinion of 90 day fiancé but your advice and opinions are needed on the show Married At First Sight. You really should be doing reviews of that show.
I've been too absorbed in the Johnny Depp/Amber Heard court proceedings and I think I missed the last episode of this. In short, what in the seven hells is going on in this show?
I watched this show because I couldn't tell what was going on from Dr Honda's analyses, and MY GOD, these people drink a lot. Nearly every scene they're drunk. There are so many arguments and misunderstandings that seem to be fueled by the drinking, and I thought Madelyn especially seemed to have an issue with it. The scene with her friends was particularly appalling.
Randall needs to drop the subject but keeps pushing her boundaries repeatedly forcing her to hear news she doesn’t want to focus on. She wants to have fun and grow the connection with Randall. She doesn’t like being vulnerable and emotional all the time and wants to enjoy their time together. Randall needs to give it a rest and be understanding instead of so pushy.
these people are also in their early 20s, 23-24 at best. i was all over the place back then, so i am not surprise their communication style also sucks. i feel bad that their vulnerable relationships are taken advantage of by this reality show. that bothers me more than their messiness, honestly.
"Wow, Madlyn said eff you. That wasn't necessary. All she had to do was say give me space." She did! Like 30 times and he ignored every time. She got tired of it. I don't blame her.
I think Zay has anger issues. All Colby said was "the girl was speaking with you before she kissed me, I think you sent her over " Zay could have simply said "no, I did not" Another tick in a negative column for him. He yelled at Shanique for making a face.
Madlyn being resentful of Randall for lack of physical intimacy rubs me the wrong way. Nobody should be guilted, or pressured into that

This^^
And we see later that Colby passing the buck for his actions is a recurring theme
“I cheated… for us ❤️”
I was confused AF during that whole interaction too; i rewatched it and still didn’t get it 😆.
6:08 Dr. Honda: "either everyone's intoxicated..."
Yes.
It's a Lachey show....so obviously 😬
When Dr Honda said- I don't know what's happening, I felt that. Deep in my soul...this entire show
Madison sees this as a last hoorah. For some women, stealing another woman’s man is the biggest flex. Especially being able to steal a black man from a black woman. Madison wants to feel like she’s so hot. And Randall isn’t making her feel superior physically to a black woman.
This was in the back of my head the whole time
Shoot, this an interesting point especially how quickly she turns around to saying “I Do” at the end. Wild behavior.
Exactly thank you. As soon as I saw the first episode I caught on to her bullshit
I knew from the beginning she never planned on not being with Colby she's werid af
Can’t wait for Dr Honda’s commentaries on Jake and Rae. He’s saving the best for last I see.
I need his take on April and Jake + Rae. I thought what he said about April was already eye opening.
I really hope he does some background into what other people are saying about the situation as well. I just dont want his opinion to not be complete because there was a misunderstanding of what happened bc it was alooooot.
@@gabrielaguillen3485 what do you mean
Girl bye. Karma.
This
Colby was not taking any responsability for making out with a random girl in the bar and blamed it on Zay saying that he set him up with the girl, phrasings it in a way to put himself in a good light and make it seem like he had no choice but to make out with the girl.
(more specifically you can see his smirk at 7:09)
i mean Randall should not have kept pushing the topic onto Madlyn, but she was also suuuper insensitive to Shanique so i guess it was karma
i loved that scene because he kept complimenting her for how mature and easy she was yet she is the complete opposite.
Karma does not exist, same goes for zodiac signs and god, tarot cards and other magical thinking
@@kicikicikicikici OK!! I guess you decide what everyone should believe. Now it's fact. SMH!!
I agree with a lot of the comments lately that ask you to watch more of the show (maybe the full episode) before reacting . I would be curious to see more of a debrief or an analysis rather than an in-the-moment reaction. That could be an interesting format to try out sometimes. I love your channel!
Dr. Honda, you've become a part of my morning routine. Thank you for educating people and quite frankly saving thousands of relationships!
To me, I thought it was clear Madyln was expecting that they would have sex that night. She was upset because Randall wanted to talk about Colby instead of being all over her. Her plans were ruined.
She was really confident. I'm not saying she's not cute, but I don't think she's that cute to act like that
That makes complete sense!!! She was just boasting "I'm gonna go make out with Randall off camera" 🤦🏽♀️
I don't know why. She looks like Peppermint Patty to me.
@@unicornL Peppermint Patty is cute.
@@unicornL I know exactly what you mean. It's not about her physical attractiveness, it's her attitude that changes that perception of her attractiveness -- kinda like that book the Uglies and how your personality makes you look pretty or ugly inside and out.
I watched this entire show and had literally no idea what was going on at all, and it made no sense by the end.
They cut too much out w that scene tbh
Lol at the end none of the proposals made sense to me. I thought everybody needed to breakup 😕
The show was good but the ending was so confusing.
Hiiii Dr. Honda!!! Glad to see you react to some of this!!
I noticed this as well.
🤔 good point
We know why 🫠
We know why 🫠
Madlyn can dish it but she can't take it. I dont feel bad
She’s a complete drama queen
That’s what I thought as well. She was humiliated that he rejected her on camera.
@@maggiedk sorry you were in an abusive relationship. Hopefully one day you'll have a better one if you haven't yet already
@@codydavis3100 it's okay, thank you! It was years ago and I'm in a very healthy, supportive relationship now :)
And experiencing the contrast between a healthy relationship and toxic ones makes me even more confident in saying that, if someone is in a relationship and has fights like the ones on this show, they really need to either seek professional help or break up.
This is exactly how I interpreted the situations as well. The good doctor certainly lost the thread. 😂
This is exactly what happened lol
And now Dr. Honda has arrived at the part of the show where the acting and editing goes completely off the rails….
Yea the editing for this first argument makes it completely unfollowable. I don’t know what they’re arguing about.
FRUSTRATION!!”
lmao i replayed that scene about 10 times and felt so stupid after. I still didnt get it so i am so happy to know other people had the same issue
I had no idea this category of TH-cam content existed. Is a helluva thing to wrap one’s head around.
throughout the show randell kept sayiing "theres no purpose for this, there's no purpose for that" and it was so infuriating. Like obviously there is a purpose bc that is how the person is feeling. he didnt see a need for the more emotional side of things even when he was the cause of that emotion, he didnt show that he was able to put himself in another's shoes in those moment.
After watching you for such a long time my husband and I feel as if you were our family friend just casually chatting every afternoon 😂
I got the impression when I watched this that it was after the first week
Or four....I remembering Madelyn came home wanting to connect on a deeper physical level with Randall??
Wait... There's no way Colby is blaming his own cheating on Zay.
Okay, so Madlyn is hurt that Randall is only willing to be affectionate off camera. That makes her feel like he's embarrassed of her, something I think she has specific trauma about. (Refer to the conversation she had with her mom about what Colby does for her.)
Also Randall keeps talking about Colby and she doesn't want to deal with that right now.
Madlyn was extremely rude to Randall here.
I think the producers encouraged them all to go back home and speak about the night. Isn't this the same night Shanique and Zay argued?
It also definitely seems like they cut out so much of the conversation
I think this was drawn out because they were intoxicated. It looks like Madlyn was hurt that he kept talking about a hurtful subject. Also, I think she’s frustrated because she really likes him and desires closeness. Randall was unable to hear her signal for vulnerability from him.
Honestly, yes he was drunk but I think he was basically alerting her to the fact that he walked into this experience expecting to leave with Shanique and still does. He keeps alluding to the idea that they need to be thinking about life after their 3 weeks together. She ONLY wants to talk about her relationship with Randle (she literally has talked about how much she doesn’t like Colby) I don’t think she can take the idea that Randle might not prefer her over Shanique after she tried to rub it in Shanique’s face.
that is exactly what happened
Please could you provide commentary on Olivia from MAFS AU !!!!
Madilyn didnt want them to talk about Colby being ith another girl on camera because she knew her family would see it
Dr Honda I’m mad you didn’t address what Madelyn said at the end. Kick off with it next episode please
I was equally confused during this scene with Colby and Zay.
She looks exaclty like Peppermint Patty.
I feel less confused that it was confusing for other people than me
I've always thought this fight happened because she wanted to hook up and Randall just seemed to only want to talk.
We all were very lost in this argument. It didn't make almost any sense.
Not thirsty lmaoooo
I love that your giving a professional opinion of 90 day fiancé but your advice and opinions are needed on the show Married At First Sight. You really should be doing reviews of that show.
I've been too absorbed in the Johnny Depp/Amber Heard court proceedings and I think I missed the last episode of this. In short, what in the seven hells is going on in this show?
NRE is the best. The NRE theory works well but I don't think she's in love with Randall at all. She's just hopefully he can save her from Colby.
Looks like Colby takes zero responsibility for his actions which is sooooo annoying
Randell had to watch this back and realize he's a snake 🐍
these people are also in their early 20s, 23-24 at best. i was all over the place back then, so i am not surprise their communication style also sucks. i feel bad that their vulnerable relationships are taken advantage of by this reality show. that bothers me more than their messiness, honestly.
Isnt these shows amazing for love!?

I hate Colby's smug face. Enough said. Meanwhile, Dr. Kirk: Maybe everyone's intoxicated xD

You’re not alone Dr H. Between the poor editing and constant intoxication of the entire cast, I found this show difficult to follow a lot of times
I think Zay has anger issues. All Colby said was "the girl was speaking with you before she kissed me, I think you sent her over "
Zay could have simply said "no, I did not"
Another tick in a negative column for him. He yelled at Shanique for making a face.
I miss the English language.
