Being wealthy is not out of reach, especially in this great country we live in. Go make something of yourself and do great things. My father became incredibly wealthy by the time I was born. He did not do it overnight but over about 2 decades. That's whats great about America. You can live our your dream. My dream since 8th grade was to join the US Army and I'm living out my dream as a 26 year old soldier.
It's always the little things that surprise me with rich people but I suppose it's not big money to them. I'm looking at the DJ booth and just wondering is that money well spent? If I were wealthy I'd definitely do something similar, it's an amazing space but I'm far too frugal to spend $70k on a DJ system, holy cow.
Don't hate them because you never know what they had to go through to get where they are now. A lot of rich people were very poor some were born into it but not everyone. Some people started off with nothing and worked hard and got the deal of a lifetime. Some of them had to sacrifice a lot more then you could imagine just to be where they are. I know two awesome husband and wife who have a great story on how they made it big they went through HELL but they made it!!
I just won $20 million and now i want chairs that lift up in a movie theather and two bowling lanes. And probally a really big light up dance floor with a bar and dj booth :)
I totally agree with you. The present situation was created by modern leaders and modern Africans. It's that 1% who abuse their authority and millions of normal Africans have to live under the consequences. My initial response was however that it was the "colonialism" of Africa that may have led to it's present situation. Leaders, especially in South Africa, want to "decolonialize" everything because they argue it was the British etc. who created the circumstances of the continent today
What people don't understand is that it is nothing wrong with things as long as you put them into proper perspective. For my wife and I we put God first above all things. You can have nice things if you can afford without going bank rupt. Remember money can't buy peace nor happiness nor can it buy you time on this earth because when the clock stops ticking it stop then someone else gets all of your possessions. Cherish life praise God give to others who are in TRUE NEED.
Yea I know what you mean some people got hooked up some people worked hard to get it. But its more than working hard in this world because some people work hard and don't get wealthy its about knowledge and taking advantage of good opportunities.
i never know how to take these shows. This is probably the coolest basement I've ever seen hah. I grew up around a crapload of money that people spent all the time like this. Then I went to Africa. Yes, it's cliche but i just can't live this way anymore. they seem sweet, though.
To each their own I guess. I'm not saying I wouldn't spend the money to enjoy life at home rather than paying other establishments for the same enjoyment. I'm just saying if I had the money to do this, i'd surely help tons of people as well. I don't understand why if you're rich the only thing you're supposed to do is spend your money helping people. It's the same as the middle class just with more money. You work for your earning, you should be able to spend it the way you see fit.
Looks good n it is their money but... there is something unsettling about the amount of money spent. I spent time volunteering, I would spend the money differently... but thats just me
You realize the movie Iron Man inspired them to build their entertainers basement. Not the theatre. This basement is incredible, stop being jealous people.
Well if you think about it the fortune he spent on it went to pay the paychecks of all of the construction workers who worked on it and what not. He gets his awesome house and quite a few people make their livings off of it. Everybody wins.
I somewhat agree with their argument, but sadly nothing can be done about history. A black person will not reverse colonialism by spending billions of tax payers money on hotels etc. while the majority of Africans still suffer. I see it like this. We are all humans living on earth, and it is in the end our duty to take care of each other. Someone in Australia who is blessed with fortune, can contribute to the food a child in Africa eats everyday... because if not that child will go to bed hungry
But for Africa or any country to rise up from it challenges, the leaders of those countries must start to realize they don't need a palace or a 50 car garage and focus on educating and empowering the populace, If Africa can do this they will probably be the first county to every really change for the better in human history. It's never easy for ppl of color but if you want to make things better you have to get up and do something. A guy having wealth in the suburbs is a moot point and irrevelant
Depends on what you do most people invest in businesses that's where the wealth comes from. Inventors who have successful products athletes movie stars etc... Being rich comes before having the money. The money is only a perk of being rich. True richness is having peace and happiness aka God, the money is there for us to enjoy while we are here on earth and to steward as God leads us to. Also being rich comes with lots of responsibilities and requires great management.
How about spending some of that $ on putting solar panels on the roof and a few wind turbines up there too ...ya know, to maybe take a little bit off of that enormous carbon footprint?? Sick house though, who needs a vacation when U got a house like that!
That's what people don't get. Everyone wins. No, it's not equal but if you don't allow people to get rich he never employees people either. Is it better for everyone to win with a few winning big or everyone losing? Even money he puts in the bank gets loaned out for others to buy houses or start their own business. I understand peoples gut reaction of it not being fair but their intellectual reaction should realize his wealth benefits many people.
Funny how people that make the africa comments probably dont donate or have done anything to help out. I believe anyone is entitled to spend their money as they please.
I think he liked the modern touches like the glass windows and doors, and the spacious rooms. It's an architect thing.
I work 7 days a week stand up all day still can't afford a 1 bedroom unit well done mate much respect
"I would never own a house again without a squash and raquetball court"

"I would never own a home again without a squash or racquetball court" Solid ultimatum.
They took living in your basement to a whole new level.
since that kid is actually born into that family is an extreme win.
It's always the little things that surprise me with rich people but I suppose it's not big money to them. I'm looking at the DJ booth and just wondering is that money well spent?

note that he said to build, that includes design, having it installed, painted etc
good point, any way a good halfpipe would be less than 5000 dollars. unless it was made of cement
I wonder how much the electric bill is
This is very nice!
Wonder if they'll adopt me, because I just realized that these guys have the home I wanted to grow up in :-D
we play pretty mean poker games, I almost lost the house that summer... But we doubled down, and got it back.. so its all cool ^.^

I don't usually buy bowling alleys, but when I do, I never use them
'Crazy skateboard dude' *rolls up and down*
a 10,000$ diamond ring. also, monthly 30 carat jewelry.
i wish i knew this guy so i could go to his house every weekend
It takes talent to become this rich. Guess that is what set apart rich people from every day working grunts.
To each their own I guess. I'm not saying I wouldn't spend the money to enjoy life at home rather than paying other establishments for the same enjoyment. All African leaders live lavishly like this, happily trodding over their impoverished countrymen.
tell me how do people get rich

If you gotta worry about it, you can’t afford it haha
Looks good n it is their money but... there is something unsettling about the amount of money spent. I spent time volunteering, I would spend the money differently... but thats just me
