    Thanks for finally speaking the truth about Grealish. As fans(myself included), we've defended him way too much, soon as you say something negative about him you get hit with "that's not his role, he brings more to the team" and I get that, but sorry, if you're an attacker, 3 goals and 3 assists in nowhere near enough, he gets away with it because he's good looking and it's a fact that good looking people get preferential treatment. Sterling was slagged off every day, yet he got 20+ GA every season for us, I remember one season he even got 32 goals, I doubt Grealish has 32 goals in his career but somehow he shouldn't be criticized?

      Considering the numbers mahrez, sterling & sane put up from the wing makes it nearly embarrassing that we’re having grealish in our plans… can’t see a new manager after pep wanting him around especially on 300k a week

    • @onomesodje8119

      Definitely not a Grealish fan. Stirling, Sane and mahrez, we're all in sane in what they contributed to the games. I mean Stirling been in the 100 club alone, tells you what you need to know. Wingers need to be flying down the wing. The game has changed a bit but until it turns into handball then wingers need to wing haha

    Please correct me if I'm wrong ( I hope I am ) but did we really try really hard to keep Gundo? Didn't Gundo say he would have stayed if we'd just offered him two years? The reality is we need to make some serious signings and the fact that we seem content to basically send players out on loan until they can leave on a free (two seasons ago Cancelo was the best fullback in the world and now we can't even sell him?!) and the Bernardo release clause is supposedly only around 50 mil when we paid 100 mil for Jack is baffling to me. There are amazing players in Europe for far less than Prem players and the irony is the Prem players don't really work. We need to re-focus.

  • @MCFCTheMadHatter
    @MCFCTheMadHatter 2 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

    Agree 100% on Grealish. The proof is in the pudding. Does anyone really make a stink about Arsenal paying £105m for Rice? Nope. Why? He’s been consistently outstanding for them, whereas with Jack, how was his first season? How was the large part of his 2nd season? How was his 3rd season injury and being sick 2x? All not that good, especially when you compare him to previous LWs we’ve had and that why he get stick from so many rival fans, the media and to a degree our own fans base.

    Badly need to get rid of 2-3 & bring in 2-3 younger players to refreshen the squad… if pep leaves next season we’re likely gonna have 6-7 players in their 30s on big wages… it’s a no brainer to keep Savio & Oscar bobb aswell since they’d explode at other clubs

      is it well said when one doesn’t say specifically who we should sell and wether we can recoup any costs?
      Kalvin, we will get rinsed
      Nunes, we will get rinsed
      Cancelo, is still on contract
      Jack, we will get rinsed
      We will let Stones and Walker walk after their contracts are done. Alvarez is our best asset for selling.
      Bobb and Lewis could be good, or could make us some money.
      So, what’s your plan?

      @@cityslacker6221 Yeah fair points but that brings us to a bigger issue. The fanbase, especially on the subreddit, won't hear a negative word said about anything. We have to blame the club when they fuck up. All of those things you mentioned are monumental fuckups from the club. I don't need to hear how "new fans don't appreciate..." either. I was there in the stands during the Kinkladze days. Just because things have been great doesn't mean mistakes haven't been made and we should be pushing on to create a Real Madrid type legacy. Not tossing it away by buying shit and letting some of our so called best players fuck off on frees. Everyone hates us for how much money we have anyway so figure it out and buy the best. Real don't give a shit what anyone else thinks of them. Neither should we.

      @@Chris-kc5id I hear you! been a supporter since ‘86. And it is weird getting used to attracting so many “fans”. I definitely put my faith in Pep and Txiki, but they make mistakes too. I still gripe about Pep not playing a cdm in a ucl final.
      Personally, I don’t care about being perceived like Madrid. No one is like Madrid, not even Barca. I just want us to stay in the run for the prem and ucl after Pep leaves, and that may require us to build up a war chest.
      And the only reason I want to be in ucl contention is because that is what international players care about more than club football unfortunately and that is how you attract talent at the top and the eds.

  • @MCFCTheMadHatter
    @MCFCTheMadHatter 2 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

    I like Ahsan in general but his logic about Rodri is seriously flawed. When the player has come out saying he can’t physically play the number of games he has for future seasons, when he’s collapsing on the ground at the Euros and the the Spanish press & coaching staff are worried for him, it most assuredly means we need to get him proper coverage. Buying someone like Kimmich who can be a cover for Rodri like Gundo was for less than £50m is a no-brainer. Why? It’s give City time to really search for the next Rodri which might be 1yr but it could be several years too. Are we just supposed to roll the dice and hope Rodri can play season after season with no issues? That’s super risky especially given our 100% loss record when he’s out of the team, unless of course, our ambitions have dropped, in which case, the risk isn’t that bad

    Steven hope you're well!
    What memorial are City planning for Max Woosnam City player and probably the best sportsman Britain ever produced, unless you know different.
    Among his achievements were winning an Olympic gold and silver in tennis at the 1920 Summer Olympics, winning the doubles at Wimbledon, compiling a 147 break in snooker, making a century at Lord's Cricket Ground, captaining the British Davis Cup team, captaining Manchester City F.C. finishing ultimately runners-up for the Football League Championship in 1920-21, and captaining the England national football team. He also played football for Cambridge Town.
    He also played for the Corinthians.
    Thank you. 👍
    Regards,
    Mark.

    On rodri back up… we don’t need an out an out 6, we can sign a number 8 who can also play the 6 like a joao neves or wharton…Players like Wirtz, joao neves & new rb should all be available next summer… won’t come cheap so wouldn’t mind waiting a summer to splash the cash if it means Savio & bobb get big playing time

      Fair points. Only issue that City are basically terrified of spending 9-figures on a player after all the blowback they got for Grealish. I think it’s stupid as I’m sure you do, but it’s no secret, they’re def gun-shy about large transfer fees. Tbh, I think it’d be a good idea to get Kimmich as he can play multiple positions and can def cover for Rodri and most importantly, we can get him for less than £50m

    • @jackboyle887

      @@MCFCTheMadHatterproblem with kimmich is his massive wages & he’s another player in that 28+ age category, not saying anything wrong with it but city need to stop buying short term signings & look for longer term & younger players

      @@jackboyle887 Fair. But with finding a Rodri cover who is a utility player like Gundo, there is no one else that can gives us 3-4yrs, has experience at highest level, can play multiple positions and costs less than £40m. We can’t let perfection be the enemy of the good.
      I agree with you in general, but for our here and now needs, the only major issue we have is Rodri cover and Kimmich solves it easily while also being able to play RB and in the 8 if needed. Who’s a young player who can do all that and won’t cost north of £80m?
