I'm a homeowner, mechanically inclined. I put a Teledyne Lars hydronic boiler in my house 29 years ago, just took delivery of a Weil-McLain. I set up 5-zones with zone-valves on the last system, now I want to run pumps. The Taco videos in this series are fantastic: I was dauted by a run-time of 1:28 on the first video (edit out the first 10 minutes!), but it's worth watching: TWICE. What a fantastic resource! Thank you.

Why go from zv to pumps ? Zone valve draws way less than a pump.

Video starts at 9 minutes if anyone is wondering. 14 minutes for actual content. Good video

Great videos!!! I am actually a homeowner but I have gotten quite familiar with hydronics lately with winter coming up. I have two Taco Delta P pumps on the way and look forward to seeing what they can do. If nothing else,, the efficiency and the ability to vary the speed with be worth it. I wanted Delta T's but money is really tight and I will eventually get a delta T. Anything is better than how the system was setup the past 20 years by the installer. A Burnham cast iron boiler with seven heating zones, all with B&G circulators, and nothing installed to regulate flow in any of them. Also the TT on the boiler was jumpered instead of being connected to the zone panels. On top of all of that, for the first few years the Indirect water heater was their only source of hot water. Ill let you do the math.
