    Thanks for the video! I like this excursion cause you learn the culture of the place you are visiting and not just laying on the pool or beach! I will definitely book this excursion for my kids to learn other culture, its educational.

      You hit the nail on the head. This is exactly why it was our favorite excursion we’ve been on in a LONG time. Combined the best of beauty and education with the option for some swimming/kayaking if you were up for it. I couldn’t suggest this excursion enough! Much love and Aloha for stopping by.

    Booked Allure of the sea for April. Looking for an excursion to do in Labadee good for my kid, parents and myself. Also want to experience the culture in a different country instead of simply laying on another beach or some rides you can also find in US. This is absolutely the best fit for us. Thanks so much.

      As an educator I completely agree. This was one of the most intrinsically rewarding excursions I've ever done. And it would be at the top of my list to do again too the next time I head back to Labadee!

    Looks awesome…Thanks for sharing! Are you able to take advantage of the deluxe drink package during that excursion or you have to pay for drinks separately? Also, is the exit of the ship extensive like do you have to go through security or costumes or anything at all or you just walk out and there are no procedures?

    • @OhanaVlog
      @OhanaVlog  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Labadee was basically Royals private island so no procedures just to get on and off the boat apart from swiping your ship card and security through their metal detectors when you reboard. But I didn't leave the private part of the island by car/public transport so I'm not sure if the procedure changes when you leave their compound. There was a free drink included but there were also coconuts with rum and a few other light refreshments for 5$-$10. I would defiitely bring some cash to support the locals .It goes a long way in helping them in their economy I'm sure! Thank you for the comment and support!

    He's only 1.5 mile away from Downtown Cap Haitian, and he's saying he's on a private island. It's not an island. The children in the village actually go to school to the city and get back home every ay.

    Given what's going in Haiti right now, I'm surprised RC is still able to stop there. We did the jet skis last time we were at that port & had a blast.

    • @OhanaVlog
      @OhanaVlog  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      What is going on in Haiti 😞? Yes I think since it’s royals private island it should hopefully be able to stay open no matter what!

      @@OhanaVlog President was murdered. Armed gangs rule the country & folks are starving. Also, it's a peninsula... not an island. RC contracts for the use of the property & pays the Haitian government a fee for every head that docks at the port. If you head inward you can literally touch the fence & see the people begging for food. It isn't pretty.

    We are booked to do this excursion with an 11 and 9 year old. Would you say you felt pretty safe? A little nervous the water taxi takes you completely away from where the ship is and the resort part of Labadee. Booked it so our kids could experience the culture and also enjoy the beach. Thoughts on how you felt about it.

    • @OhanaVlog
      @OhanaVlog  ปีที่แล้ว

      I felt completely safe. The crew that was hired to run the excursion as well as the distance to the part of the area where the excursion was held was not far. I feel like if things went south, albeit 1/100000000 chance of happening, but the crew wouldve been able to get to us/know what was happening fairly easily. I would not pass up this opportunity out of fear of safety. :) you will have an amazing and SAFE time. Thanks for commenting and watching!

    How long were there on total? How long eas the tour? How long did you get on the beach?

    • @OhanaVlog
      @OhanaVlog  ปีที่แล้ว

      The total tour is probably like 4 hours or so. Half an hour for getting there. Half hour on the beach when you arrive, an hour on the cultural walk or so, and then another hour or so on the beach before you take the ride back to the boat, it seems quick, but with other things to do in labadee it seemed like the perfect amount of time to me!

    • @OhanaVlog
      @OhanaVlog  ปีที่แล้ว

      If you are able to get on the boat with just a birth certificate than you should be able to go on this excursion without a passport! goodluck :)

    Is it extra to kayak or does that come with the purchase of this tour?

    • @OhanaVlog
      @OhanaVlog  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They told us they were included with our tour, however I did notice that there were only two or three kayaks, and they were in rough shape. Not saying you can't but it seemed like that wasn't a major focus. Enjoy! this is one of my all time favorite excursions.

    Looks like you gave it your all this day for sure!!! It was sooo hot when we were in Haiti, did not stay on island long. I have mixed feeling about haiti given the unrest and poor nation that I almost felt guilty enjoying a vacation on the island. I also found the vendors on the island way tooooooo aggressive to the point you could not even look around without being yelled at from different directions and hounded to buy somehting....probably would not get off ship next time at this port.

    • @OhanaVlog
      @OhanaVlog  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes I definitely try to maximize the time spent doing things. And not be in the room too much or just hanging by the pool when I could do that quite often in Florida! Yes Haiti is having difficulties right now but they need our money to help stimulate the economy, it was so sad to hear the children couldn’t even return to school yet. This tour was amazing and showed us only a small bit of Haitian culture but I look forward to going back and learning more! Sorry it was so hot that you could barely enjoy it! Thanks for commenting though and have an awesome day Campus X!

    How is the internet of the ship?

    • @OhanaVlog
      @OhanaVlog  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Internet was average for Royal Caribbean, it worked good for surfing the internet but streaming at times would require buffering etc. Upload speeds were terrible, it took two hours to upload a 5 minute clip about the shark attack while I was onboard. Also check out my review for Harmony of the Seas that just came out, where I talk about such things like the Voom Surf and Stream. Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
