    • @PSAdventures
      @PSAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว

      Omg yes! We LOVE cruising. 🚢 Any time we can hop on a cruise we love it! It's also nice being in Central Florida since we're so close to all the ports. Many years ago before our TH-cam channel, cruising was our go-to for traveling to new places along with road trips. It's hard to beat having your room with you and always having a buffet nearby! Lol. We've done a cruise to San Juan and loved it! This wasn't even an episode we had planned but it'd be fun to do more ships and really film the whole experience. Thanks for watching Sandra! ❤️❤️❤️

    Happened upon your channel visiting the spring. Subscribed and kept looking at your adventures. Turns out, I was on the same Ventura dance cruise you were on and you sat about five seats away for me and my family on the beach in Labadee. We could see ourselves in the water and in the background. Small world. Safe travels.

      It's sad that Haiti is going through so much turmoil at the moment. From the beautiful beaches and resorts you'd never even know there was a major issue going on in other areas of the country. We were actually a little worried before we left since Haiti is on the list of Do Not Visit by the embassy. Since it's a private resort we weren't too worried but yeah! Seriously. Even beautiful places can have real issues. Thanks for watching Victory!

    Cabana value is personal imo. We're doing a cruise to Labadee, Puerto Plata DR, and CocoCay. We have cabanas at both private islands. Offers better shade than most of the free spots, drink service, food service on CocoCay, a fan, electrical outlets, decent couches, unlimited water bottles and towels, etc. Just don't like to fight for spots. We're small group with 3 adults and a child. We start saving a year or two in advance to help cover the extras.

    • @PSAdventures
      @PSAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Makes sense! The price of the cabanas seem much more reasonable if you're able to share it with a few others. It's basically like an excursion for the entire family, which are usually somewhere around $100 per person anyway. It's absolutely beautiful in Labadee so we're excited for you! We've also been to CocoCay a few times and just love it! Enjoy to the fullest. We know you'll have a great time! 😄

    • @PSAdventures
      @PSAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว

      @SatnamSingh-cy6hg Yes it was super aqua and clear! The water quality at all these beautiful Florida and Caribbean beaches depends so much on the weather. When it's windy and rainy, the water will be more murky, possibly for days.

    • @PSAdventures
      @PSAdventures  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      That's sounds so nice Julie! No we didn't book any excursions like we normally do when we go on cruises. Since this is Royal Caribbean's resort there's a lot that's already included. The tram didn't cost anything since it takes people to different parts of the area. We just explored on our own! There was a lot to enjoy!

    Did they have any great vegan food on the cruise?

    • @PSAdventures
      @PSAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes they did have some good vegan food on the cruise. Normally on cruises we can get the best food. Many times there's a large Indian population that come on the cruise so we have Indian a lot along with some good salads, potatoes, and good fruit. We probably end up gaining weight after cruises. Haha!

    Does Royal Caribbean provide a free lunch here, like on CoCo Cay? Great video 😊

    • @PSAdventures

      Yes! We were surprised that they had an entire area that was buffet style just like when you're on the cruise. It's such an easy way to travel! It's a nice bonus not to have to pay for lunch on shore. 🛳😊

    Good afternoon guys I don't know if this is a great idea. But I was thinking some of those places that you can't that you had a tent maybe you should do a revisit with the van like down in the keys at Curry hammock State Park I think that would be cool and do what is different about it

    Did you feel safe there? Contemplating trip for my 50th celebration

    • @PSAdventures
      @PSAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You know, the week before we were going to board the ship is when all of the terrible things started happening in the country. We were pretty sure though that Royal Caribbean wouldn't put anyone at risk so we felt pretty safe going. When we went also, Labadee is Royal's private area so it wasn't affected by anything going on elsewhere in the country. Tourism is super important in Haiti so they take that pretty seriously. We had an amazing time and felt safe everywhere we were there. We wish you a happy 50th and hope you have an amazing time if you go! 🎂🥳🎉🎈🛳

    • @PSAdventures
      @PSAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว

      And just to clarify, we only stayed within Royal Caribbean's Labadee and didn't go anywhere else in the country. At that time the U.S. Embassy was warning Americans against traveling there. You'd have to check if you were leaving the resort. I hope that helps!

  • @mickquinn4781
    @mickquinn4781 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    You said Labadee is a 'private island'... care to explain that?

    • @PSAdventures
      @PSAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for your question! Labadee is technically a private peninsula, not an island. It's on the North side of Haiti. Haiti and Dominican Republic are two countries on the same island. Labadee does have a nice island feel! It's super tropical and the water is so beautiful! 🌊

    Parties non-stop? Not for me.

    • @PSAdventures
      @PSAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว

      You definitely don't want to book a dance cruise then! The parties go all night. It's crazy! Even when you get back to your room there's music all down the halls. Definitely fun if you're into it but would be terrible for someone to accidentally book a dance cruise who doesn't like to dance! 😆

  • @bookooc5605
    @bookooc5605 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    My ex and I were there way back in 1999 or 2000. Labadee hadn't really been developed like it is now. Not sure if I like the changes or not. Haiti is controversial, devastating poverty and horrible government. Makes it hard to not buy the junk they sell there. I got some really good photos of the natural beauty there.

    • @Itssdaa1996

    • @PSAdventures
      @PSAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It was pretty eye-opening to see the poverty there and that was only in the really nice part of Royal Caribbean's resort. We can only imagine the areas that we didn't see. The world is different all over. It's also amazing to see people who are joyful even in extreme poverty. It makes us very thankful for everything we have in life. ❤️❤️❤️

    uh so no real local life to be seen? Last thing I wanted to do on vacation is to be around a bunch of cruise ship people.

    • @PSAdventures
      @PSAdventures  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Actually, we were very happy to stay around the resort with the other cruisers! At the time we went, and probably even now, Haiti was on the "do not go there" list of countries due to civil unrest and violence. The port was simply the resort in Haiti, with no option to visit the "local" part of the area.

  • @CClol-q4i
    @CClol-q4i 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Personal irritant, when from every side and corner, someone comes out to get your attention to buy something, then gives you an outrageous price if you do feel bad and start looking for something as small as toddler figurine. (I get it, bring in revenue). But the 1990's marketing/stalking tactic is cringe and really causes me to avoid most shops. Like I will visit if you leave me alone, otherwise I stopped visiting. I am an extreme introvert, and do not like random people calling on me. Other than that, the beach is nice, but they have went back on a watch list. If only RC could get rights to new ports.

    • @PSAdventures
      @PSAdventures  หลายเดือนก่อน

      We couldn't agree more! When we walked through the shopping village, we tried not to make eye contact but then also felt bad because we wanted to support them by buying something. Just didn't feel like being pressured. Ah well, the beaches there were absolutely stunning with the mountains in the background. Beach and mountain combo - the best! 😍

  • @atastro8723

    The cognitive dissonance of these people enjoying their privileged bubble on a horribly impoverished country that was for the most part made that way by the United States and France makes me physically ill. You can tip well to the people working at the resort but that doesn’t change the fact that you’re giving your money to yet another foreign company exploiting the rock bottom cheap labor and rampant corruption in that country. Locals are not even allowed to enter the resort to prevent making the foreign tourists feel unsafe. It’s honestly kind of disgusting.

    • @PSAdventures

    • @PSAdventures
      @PSAdventures  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well that's true, it was very hot, and the port is pretty much just beautiful beaches everywhere. If you love beaches though, and can find a shady spot, or just stay in the water the whole time, it's amazing! 😍😎
