ACI318-19 New Update

#shorts In this short video, I would like to point out one of the most important changes in ACI318-19.The original text of ACI318-19 (18-13-2-3) :
longitudinal reinforcement resisting flexure shall have 90-degree hooks near the bottom of the foundation with the free end of the bars oriented toward the center of the column. Therefore, this issue must be observed in all foundations (Single, Strip, MAT) and in all positions of columns (Edge, Corner, Middel).

my friend told me about this as we were talking about how to really achieve fully fixed supports detailing and about partially fixed supports. i know how challenging it is in reality how to achieve a fully fixed connection with RC detailing.
