Love it. Listened to the 12 preludes in one go. This channel is a treasure trove of quality content, and it's all thanks to your passion and dedication to music, Mr. Barton.
Thank you for opening a whole world of Debussy’s music to me through this wonderful video. You play these preludes with such vitality and ease. I’m happily diving down a rabbit hole of discovering Debussy’s genius! Imagine how alien these sounds must have felt, in context of the time they were first written and performed. Brilliant.
Seems so effortless; Supreme economy of movement; Epitome of technique. These are some of the sensual works I cherish. Such a visual treat. Thanks, Paul!
@@owenwilliams1222 You start to like Bach when you learn some good fugue when actually paying attention to different voices, themes and all the theory put apart to one single part at a time
You should listen to this : 1) prelude from suite bergamasque ; 2) clair de lune from suite bergamasque 3) pagodes from estampes 4) reflets dans l'eau from Images 5)reverie 6) arabesque (firts arabesque from deux arabesque). Then if you dont like these pieces , you can say that you dont really like Debussy . I wanted to suggest you my favorite pieces by Debussy . Take a listen and tell me if you liked them or not !

Marvelous work, Sir! I take my hat off. Especially love how your lower C sounded in "Ce qu'a vu le vent d'ouest", as it was a real church bell.
One of the best renditions of these I've heard.

Minstrels makes me feel that that's Debussy's interpretation of the American west.
Der Pianist spielt ziemlich Feurich.
