Mhow-Sanawad Railway Line:
Project Description: The Mhow-Sanawad railway line is part of the Ratlam-Fatehabad-Indore-Mhow-Khandwa broad gauge project. It involves converting the existing meter gauge rail section between Mhow and Sanawad into a broad gauge line.
Scope:
The project includes laying broad gauge lines on the new route between Mhow and Sanawad.
The alignment will be diverted from Patalpani.
A total of 21 small and large tunnels will be constructed along the 71 km railway section.
The hilly terrain necessitates the construction of 36 major bridges, 76 minor bridges, and 12 underpasses and overpasses.
Completion Timeline: The project is expected to be completed by September 2024 but running late and could take time till end of 2025 or beyond.
Impact:
After completion, trains will operate from Mhow station towards Khandwa and Indore.
Direct connectivity will be established with states like Maharashtra and Telangana.
Mhow station’s utility will significantly increase, with at least 80 trains operating from there.
Mortakka Railway Bridge:
Project Description: The Mortakka Railway Bridge spans the Narmada River and is part of the Mhow-Sanawad broad gauge line.
Specifications:
Length: Approximately 900 meters.
The bridge will stand on 16 pillars, with a maximum pillar height of up to 35 meters.
Completion Timeline: The bridge construction is underway and is expected to be completed by September 2024 but running late could be completed by end of the year or beyond.
Challenges: The construction work has faced interruptions due to repeated water releases from the Omkareshwar Dam.
Indore Icchapur Highway Bridge:
Project Description: The Indore Icchapur Highway Bridge is another critical infrastructure project over the Narmada River.
Scope:
The bridge will provide a crucial link between Indore and other regions.
It will enhance transportation connectivity and facilitate economic growth.
Completion Timeline: The bridge construction is expected to be completed by March 2025.
Budget: The project cost is approximately Rs 285 crores.
Stations and Facilities:
New stations will be constructed at Mukhtiyar Balwara and Barwah.
Each station will have two platforms, one mainline, and two loop lines.
These projects aim to improve connectivity, enhance transportation infrastructure, and promote regional development.

मेने बहुत जगह देखा है कि पुराने ब्रिज के पास से नया ब्रिज बनाया जाता है। इससे पुराने पुल को तोड़ने का खर्च बच जाता । इसी लाइन पर घाट सेक्शन पर भी पुराने पुल के अवशेष देखे जा सकते हैं ।

No need of Remind Railway has already this plan but it may be completed after Indore Dohad and Dhar Line work copleted til that time approximately 8/10 years after GC And New. Line work finishes and for double line Railway is planning for the same and will be completed by 2047 only

Hi, do you know When will (approx) the gauge between Mhow and Sanawad be converted? What is the biggest challenge as this project takes too long time?
Hopefully By 2028 to 30 it should get completed, the biggest challenge is the tunnels between Patalpani to Choral around 21 tunnels would be made
@@indorevlogs09 But, as far as I know that the tunnels were exist on this route as historically the meter gauge rail line was there. Then, why do new 21 tunnels needs to be made ?
