I tried the DPMS mag in the R1 and it didn't cycle correctly. just kept decocking. I'll out put on video if you want. Maybe it's just mine, but it's just a warning anyway. Do what you want. I'll stick to the gun the mag belongs to personally.

So I just picked up a crosman r1 and on the box it looks like the r1, but inside it was the DPS, like the stock the muzzle the forearm grip, all of that is a DPS, that's crazy. I wonder if they're made at the same factory and they're just throwing in boxes because the picture shows the r1 that you have but it's all black, but I got what looks like the DPS....

Kinda were bummed out (at first) that the R1 did not come out first - or at the same time as the DPMS.. Woulda probably chosen the R1 then since it looked in pictures way much longer than the DPMS.. But right here the R1 does not look that much longer in the front in comparison to the DPMS. Got now a long suppressor for my DPMS.. A longer front woulda been my reason to choose the R1 over the DPMS. But nowadays I would not bother get the R1 anymore. I like black DPMS over R1 in FDE. And since they both use the same length inner barrel. And I do like the DPMS stock over the R1 AR stock. Way sturdy. Both use same kind of mags. Way cool and easy to get mags for both models then.
yo bror, hope you figured this platform out by now xD if you want the model to put an extended barrel or suppressor on its the bushmaster, you take that junk piece of plastic off and you have almost 5 inches of free floating barrel. they are both technically the same except for the buffer tube and bolt carrier. the dpms' are both a bit off spec. the R1 and bushmaster are 100% mil spec this guy I bet hasn't even fired more than 100 bb's through his, he still hasn't figured out how the mags work.

I have already made a new gas piston and a catch-release button to my DPMS. So I'd have a few improvements for Crosman Corp. - but I have no idea what actually has internally changed after the DPMS came out.. Not shot with my DPMS for a long time now. Been so much into my Sig Virtus lately..
@@brorjordas1979 I noticed when I swapped the buffer tubes between the dpms and bushmaster. Ended up needing to swap the bolt assembly as well because they wouldnt cycle properly with only the buffer tube switch. Maybe the tolerances are huge, but my dpms bolt carrier is significantly thicker than the one in the bushmaster. If you pass a caliper on it you will see immediately. But everything else is the same size except for what you can see is different.
@@replicagunreviews8922 No, remove the clip cover, on bottom of clip you will see a philips screw, remove screw, then remove silver notch, spring will eject, remove bb, and put everything back together in reverse. Really simple and less than a 2 minute job!
Ya I'll pass no offense. I kind of like the DPMS Mock suppressor/compensator but your left with a pretty clunky stock that can't be swapped out for a Magpul as an example replacement. Of course quality is going to differ pertaining to all models but there were quite a few advancements with the R1. As long as you're using premium BB's as I only use Hornady black diamond over any garbage out there, know how to maintain your seals it's hard to say one is better than the other. Maybe I got lucky with my full black R1 because the thing is dead on when put into a shooting vise and does not skip a beat. But you have to take into consideration differences in ambient Air temperature, a shooters knowledge, stance ECT. I have swapped out the plastic flash hider with a real steel and removable mock suppressor plus swapped out the Standard A2 buttstock with the same I run on my real steel M4 The mission first tactical Minimalist stock. I plan on making further upgrades as well. But this is just my opinion as I do not own both like this gentleman. It's just my preference, like I said there has been advancements made since the first release which was the dmps. Even the new mags for the R1 at least has a notch where you can lock the follower ECT. Just ordered the high capacity mag which looks like My real 60rd M4 mag. I wish they would make a drum since 30 rounds goes pretty fast lol. But I see things coming in the future.

You can get a lot of attachments off of Amazon or anyplace that sales firearms. Just make sure it says it fits on picatinny rails and it should fit perfectly fine at least on a dpms.

Are you stoned? They are identical in operation and build, if you gun is not cycling with another mag then there is a problem, the magazines are sold to fit all versions they are not gun specific. The weights are almost identical unladen lol, the barrels are the same length and rails are the same. The only difference is the adjustable butt. They are manufactured and built by the same company lol. They are 95% identical. Take all the rubbish off the dpms version and try them again

The R1 has a removable butt stock and will accept any mil spec AR15 butt stock. The other rifle does not accept AR15 stocks. The muzzles are also different.
I think he just didnt shoot enough with them, like 99% of reviewers. They just unbox, shoot one co2, and then review it. The dpms buffer tube and bolt carrier are wonky though, the bushmaster and R1 buffer tube and bolt carrier are interchangeable.

1:20 it is all the stuff... these are literally the same thing except for the stock , grip texture and muzzle break.
The mags are interchangable. They only make one part # for the 25 round mag.

3:53, the problem is is that the hammer isn't dropping correctly, this could be changed by swapping out the uppers.

Get 2 small nails and pry that bitch out, the spring will misshape somewhat, after that, be more careful or get the QR mag, it's way better
Happened to my crossman C11 had to order another mag.. was only able to fill it about 8 BBs until the BBS compressed in the spring.

Dpms is overrated I’ve have the dpms for a year and 2 Magazines have broken in less than a year.
