Yeah it's old world indeed and sadly a dying one. Labor costs and materials costs are vastly higher today than in the past therefore few can afford it nowadays.
@@declanmc1001 Rubber plate is ideal and its called fine setting sand(Sika/Adbruf) not to be mistaken with brush in DIY pointing mediums. You can make it yourself but it needs to be out of lime and it then means it can't be driven on for a while. Cement is no good without additives. A two part fine epoxy grout is best. UK brand is GTFK. Strength, flexibility, UV resistant colour, bacteria resistance.
Sieht wunderschön aus. Schön dass es noch Menschen gibt die so etwas machen und keine Betonsteine wollen. Womit habt ihr verfugt? Mit Fertigprodukten oder selbst gemischt mit Trasszement?
Awesome project by talented artists! I presume there will be a drainage system planned with some expansion joints incorporated. If the government ran this smoothly we would have a surplus rather than massive debt service.
Thank you for the kind words! From experience, we make expansion joints so the surface can work in winter and summer. Drainage system is another story due to many regulations about water disposal. In some cases yo are not allowed to drain it into the local sewer system...sometimes we make septic tanks so the rainwater could be filtered and reused for watering plants etc.
Back in the days setts provided horses' hooves with better grip than a smooth surface, they are now encountered rather as decorative stone paving in landscape architecture.
Along that retaining wall he could have put some expansion foam along it so he could start with a nice clean edge, and the rest of his rows of pavers wouldn't be so jagged, then remove the foam when done, fill with mortor or sand...
Beautiful work. You made the segmental pattern look easy. What a nice, clean, tight job!
RESPEKT. Fleißig durch gearbeitet. Perfekt verlegt. Mega Leistung Kollege.
xscrat99x Perfekt ist was anderes ;) das ist gut gemacht.
Fantastic workmanship at play
Nice job! It really looks great. What kind of grout did you use for the joints? Is it just a sand/cement/water mix? Or something more special? Thanks!
You can come and do my driveway here in Australia.

Beautiful job! Is that all done without any cement?
Stone is laid in sand but the gaps between stones are filled with mortar.
Hi is that a special grout (in bags) or made up by your self? Do you have a special cover on bottom of the wacker plate? Great Job!

Very nice work. It looks perfect. What is the name of this stone pattern?
Hi,
In Austria we call this pattern Segmentbogen translates to "segment curve".
Scalloped in the UK

Sacré boulot quand même,et il faut savoir où trouver des pavés, ça n'a pas l'air compliqué de poser des pave ,j'en ai mes pas assez.
Good, do you remember how much time waste to do this and what area cover with the stones
