What an awesome track! Looks like the old track that used to be in the same race park as the USA national Hangtown track is located . It was called the Blue Oaks track. Some Northern California old timers might remember how fun it was.
@@Sleepy.Time. The Hangtown track is still where it was when you raced it in '84, the Blue Oaks track is in those hills to the right at the end of the asphalt road when you drive in through main little guard shack where you pay to practice. The Blue Oaks track was host to the Golden State Nationals, I recall watching Warren Reid just signed with Factory Honda, Danny LaPorte won the 125s, Gaylon Mosier won the open class on the first Red factory Maico. The last race I did on the Hangtown track was '91! If you liked racing the Hangtown track, I guarantee you would have loved the Blue Oaks track, great track!
One of the greatest riders: I had the pleasure of watching him race last year in Jacksonville, Florida at WW Ranch. If you ever get a chance to watch one of these races live, I highly recommend it. Italy should be proud of him, he's truly an amazing and fierce rider!
Yes,they do it. But maybe u dont know mxgp is 2 day event plus aditional races EMX 250 and EMX 300 2t. This makes more of 10 motos without practice and qualif races. This video was from second moto, sunday, end of the day. What are u expected? The track is great, rough, hardpack.
I don't think those Katooms are faster than the others, I think they morph into a 9foot diameter motobeing at the apex of the first turn, like Marv Musqrats does.

what year did they change it? I first raced at Hangtown in 1984 and it was already the Prairie City Off Road park at that point
