You know he was actually supposed to make a Star Trek movie right?

F sakes, I LOVE his Tarantino's unexplainably-frustrated expression. Being: angry, frustrated or otherwise in some sort of bad mood- its NOT necessarily a bad thing and isn't necessarily a bad indication of somehow a director realizing his movie might suck. NOT in these latest decades, at least.

I still think that it would be better if Tarantino didn’t mess with the established franchise and create a different ship and crew having to deal with the Orion syndicate. That scenario alone better guarantees an awesome thrill ride outcome that would be worth exploiting Star Trek wise. The scenario could even be mentioned in future Star Trek movies and series as a warning to other captains to not repeat this incident.

Fairly close to the truth since they tried to replace writers with AI.

Where are the space feet? There has to be a superfluous scene of some lady's feet in space for this to work.

Its interesting because Quentin has two modes of operating. Either he wants to put his style on characters and their dialog, introducing his stylistic celebration of violence, music, and force. But he also has indicated on several occasions that sometimes he just wants to make an homage to something, not necessarily changing its style but just trying to distill the true nature of the work and "blend in" to the existing works. He does have a very good eye for film analysis, so he might in fact be able to make the most trek filled star trek there is. Although he did comment in a few interview that Seth Macfarlane basically introduced the feeling into The Orville that Tarantino wanted to bring back to Star Trek.

    Everybody would wearbkack suits
There would be buckets of stage blood
    Pop-cultural in-jokes would abound
And every second word would begin with "F".

I think a perfect Tarantino Star Trek movie would be one with all new characters, all Klingons, set entirely in the Klingon Empire.

While this may be a good movie if it was ever produced, it does not feel like a classic Star Trek story arc. A life of death struggle against a new alien force, either an entire civilisation, or a superior entity, is more in line with Classic star trek. Putting that aside what i would love to see is a Klingon movie with no humans. It would be interesting to see what a TNG Klingon crew would do when faced with a superior alien threat. While i like TOS compared with TNG, i have to admit the Klingons are better in TNG, and for that matter the William Shatner movies as well.

  • @Lazarusart

NO, he should never do this ! Gene Roddenberry's Vision has nothing to do with Tarantino's ! end of. Star Trek is about Hope and Humanity's positive Future, not Violence and dark themes.

Waltz would be Sarak, not Spock. Let QT keep it clean until near the end when Jackson, playing a captain, helps save the day and says "Fire the mother f'ing torpedo that that mother f'ing (insert alien race here).

I would like to see the real "Star Trek Insurrection". A Fleet Admiral - possibly Waltz - tries to get the fleet under his control to establish an empire. Only the crew of the Enterprise withstands him. And then there is no more waltz but rock'n roll.

      lol.
      "The beaaaaaar Klingon..."
Weirdly enough, instead of just slicing the neck off with the bat-leth- he repeatedly just savagely beats to death some Jem'Hadar with a specially made, wide and blunt BLUNT end for a totally miserable way to shock and violently cause total misery to his two other allies, being offered to give away the positions of enemy ships! LOL!

There is absolutely no way his Trek would have been worse than JJ Trek, or Discovery, or Picard, or anything after Enterprise.
Because he actually gives a shit about Star Trek from what I've understood. I feel like Trek would be safe with him.

If tarrentino were as coherent as this AI the movie would be great but the guy has never really done space operas before and his movies are very disjointed and paced in a non linear fashion which probably wouldn’t work very well for a Star Trek movie

@@SyntheticScreen Quentin did pulp fiction from pulp books.
In the 1949s and 50s there was a lot of pulp science fiction comics, books , containing some great stories.
I'm sure Quentin could find some interesting material for a film.

PLEASE. Let's not let Tarantino screw up Star Trek.
His movies are predictably formulaic. And, it's just a tired format. It's run its course, it did so at least 25 years ago.
    Not to mention, the hype

It’ll also be the first time the N-word is said in sci-fi, and it will inexplicably be said 46 times.
Has there been a sci-fi picture with the word MF-er? I’d set the over/under at 36 times in a Tarantino Star Trek with Samuel Jackson.

    This is crap.
There's actually a real script for exactly this and QT has said he'd use the cast of Abrahms remakes for it and use elements from 30's gangster films.
Ungrounded ChatGPT crafted drivel instead of the real information that actually exists on this topic...
But hell, why do actual research when you can just have a computer make s41t up from whole cloth?

I agree, the decision to destroy the Enterprise in "The Search for Spock" was meaningful and served the plot. "Keep doing what works" is the attitude that makes too many sequels and franchises watered down cash grabs.
