- **BEFORE Making a comment stating that “Your Installation Experience Was Smooth & Easy” - Was your Mini Cooper Headlight lighting application H13 Halogen to H13 LED? OR Was it the 2013 HID Model w/ NO CLIPS that only require to only twist to secure the square base of the D1S HID bulb onto the headlight?? If it was one of those two types mentioned then those two installs are fairly simple and straight forward. Please dont post negative comments confusing our viewers as this installation has the clips holding the D1S HID bulb which does give you limitations when removing/replacing the bulb. After reading the comments and doing research we did find out that there were those two other types mentioned earlier so just FYI!!**

Correction: In The Video We Stated *Headlight Housing But Actually Meant Headlight Assembly When Removing The Headlights To Replace The HIDs During Our Installation Video. Boy you showed us the 1 hour way, now you do know that you can change both sides in 5 minutes don't you? Remove the cap (at 3:14) grab the square base and turn it about 1/16 turn counter clockwise looking at the back. manipulate the bulb and wire out the back. carefully snap the metal wire plug off with a flat screwdriver and throw away the bulb. snap the wire onto the new bulb, carefully replace it back in the housing with the wire slightly counterclockwise from the bottom and turn the bulb in clockwise about 1/16 of a turn and replace cover.
Thanks for sharing with us your experience on the install! However your method pertains to a model headlight assembly possibly 2013 I believe after researching from a few videos online that DOES NOT have any clips at all that allows you to twist clockwise / counterclockwise to change the Xenon HID bulb which does look fairly simple with the assembly still on the vehicle.The one we worked on was a 2010 model which had the clips that secured the square base of the D1S HID bulb onto the headlight which is kind of a pain to secure back when replacing the bulb. If you were to try and replace the bulb for this particular model with the clips the space is fairly limited. Some might be able to accomplish the install with the limited space however for us we wanted to share our experience with this particular type of assembly due to our limitations at the time of this install. And upon the completion of the install it worked for us and the owner of the vehicle we helped with the install was happy with the bulb replacement. But your method did bring to light that there is another method for another type of headlight assembly without the clips so that we can share that info in the comments here for others who are trying to replace their HID bulb. ***Also after researching the Non-HID models that have the H13 Halogen Bulb. The installation process for the halogen bulb is VERY SIMPLE / Plug and Play replacement compared to the Xenon HID replacement.

You don't need to remove the whole headlight assembly from the car. There is access to the bottom round cap from the wheel well, and you can do it all while the assembly is mounted to the car. I changed both bulbs today, and it was a lot simpler than what you show.
And, it was painful watching you with those thick gloves...

weird thing: I replaced bulbs today w/o disassembling whole lamp. But in my 2010 r56s there were no springs which fix bulb. It has to be turn by some small degree and that's it.
you don't need to remove the whole headlight unit ot change the bulb...

Also important to point out that those are D2S bulbs and NOT D1S. It says D2S on the sticker…
If you actually watched the video, the bulb type/size actually is D1S. NOT D2S. The D1S HID Bulb has a square base. D2S does not have a square base.
