I just want to buy every episode and sit and watch all 4,000 hours of the show. It is so funny because watching these shows makes me think about where I was mentally and emotionally back then.
I'm in my 20's and it's CRAZY how informative, educational, and entertaining these episodes wayyy back from the 80's/90's/2000's are relevant still today!! Oprah has a special gift and way with words. It's completely authentic...hence why these episodes have aged so welll...and are still getting millions of views in the 2020's!
You can't ever put your trust totally in another person, you are giving away your power in that. You can however trust yourself to cope with whatever happens. Have your own back. When you are in a relationship keep part of your life your life, have your own friends, do things you like to do. So if someone leaves it's not your whole world walking out. You still have your life to build upon and your friends and your hobbies.
Great episode, I can see why Dr Phil became popular - he gets straight to the point, and the advice is timeless. Would be great to see more episodes from this era, and the 'Run On' era too.
Thank you Oprah and Dr Phil. I would love to know when did this show first air? I am watching it now December 3rd 2022 at 2:00 in the morning. I took notes again I pray that I can take charge of my life, discipline myself, take responsibility, and get out of the rut I have been in for years. I always take the easy way out. Procrastination is a thief of time. And life is running me smooth over.
Aww, this is so nostalgic! I was 7 years old back then and remember making capsules for the milkenium in elementary school. Does anyone know if Oprah has opened this up yet?
We need to make a new capsule for 2025. Where do we want to be in three years. I’m also wanting to think where do I want to be 2023. What can I accomplish in one year. And a bigger vision of three years
Oprah is a great inspiration in many many ways. I want to be like Jesus! I want to become word! Didn't God say be Holy even as I am Holy? Didn't God say Holiness without no man shall see the Lord?
Wow . Seems such easy and loving time , even with some difficulties as life brings in , but sure manageable without the craziness and pressure we are living today , social media , AI , impossible standards , wars , pandemic and terrorist attacks !!
impossible standards and judgments were worse then, for genders for example or ethnicities or the way people were stereotyped more than now. Also, this was long before 'Me Too' and women/victim shaming was worse than now. The Oprah show was different from the rest. Now, there are lots of progressive shows and interviews everywhere that are about acceptance, including on social media, which has its flaws but it's perks too in many ways; such as giving a voice to everyone who wants to use it for any cause or message instead of people being kept totally passive, and connecting people globally about truths they want to share with each other instead of them suffering alone with seemingly unique things, or people not having any way of knowing the truth about what goes on in other countries without being able to hear from people from other continents, unless they traveled there physically, and therefore having to trust their government and the news pretty much completely blindly in ways worse than now. Also, people not being able to film the police or other authorities to share it online if they are not doing their job right and are being harmful, to share on TH-cam etc, which is an effective way sometimes for people to be able to protect themselves now. There are lots of examples of why now is better than then.
ok, that Patti LaBelle theme song was one of the best! " you wanna get in the game? you know her naaame - OPRAH🎶🎶🎵" that would give me all the feels when i was a kid, lol. miss those days 😌
The one who has gained weight was heartbreaking. However, you’ve gotta work hard to stay in shape. Of course your spouse will be less attracted to you if you gain 100 Ibs. Can’t cry about that one. Get up, exercise, stop eating so much food and pull yourself together!
Just watched this clip of this video and seeing how everyone applauded for him on wanting to learn how to read, but the lady who made her wish first no one cheer her up! Sad
With all due respect, what son/child asks their mother "why have I never seen you in your wedding dress?" = I'm sorry, is this common practice? Mine is tucked away for all of eternity, why would my child ever wonder why they havent seen me in it?
she does. She has podcasts and does interviews with celebs etc on zoom sometimes. But obviously she prefers getting to interview people in real life, cause that's a more direct and intimate experience and has been her job since forever
So if my goal is to get to have a happy family as a NY Resolution because I cannot find my man and that will not happen, I will consider myself as a looser??
This lady was in a trauma bond w her EX! She was still emotionally & mentally connected to him. Most likely a survivor of childhood trauma! She loved him deeply & helped him reach his status in becoming a Lawyer. Unfortunately due to his pathological lying, he kept her hooked & drove her mad w torment; controlling her w threats & money! She kept trying to prove her worth to him, as he constantly invalidated & violated her! CLASSIC ABUSER; continually made her look crazy as a form of control & domination; due to her low self worth, she kept trying to get a sense of logic & sanity from him suppressing her! She could have been driven over the edge by the endless cycles of Abuse or she could have made the mistake of bringing a weapon & out of panic, it went off! Could be either verdict!?!

Now he's arrogant
@@sashalawrence4786 no, he’s actually more confident and relates to people better in future shows I think.
Sasha Lawrence Are you arrogant?
God said with that judgment you judge you shall be judged!
Examine yourself!
I cried for Shannon I think Dr Phil really knew what she needs when he told her to say "I have hurt long enough"

why is Oprah not doing Zoom interviews and/or podcasts is beyond me
I revisit her interviews on the Super Soul channel on Spotify :)
she does. She has podcasts and does interviews with celebs etc on zoom sometimes. But obviously she prefers getting to interview people in real life, cause that's a more direct and intimate experience and has been her job since forever
Dr Phil always looks the same 😂

Where are all the Episodes out of over 1000 videos I can only see 12?
The first one should divorce her ungrateful husband

And U got alot of houses, will U give me one Oprah? If I didn't need a house, I wouldn't ask U for one
In 2000, you were still in the SAME century. The next century of the Gregorian calendar starts with 2001.
Why does she show no compassion for the first woman?
