Must admit.. this is your best.. walkaround.. the sea and beach ⛱.. and fabulous weather and shops.. just amazing.. a fabulous video.. I keep watching over and over again.. well ✔
Fantastic place, in great weather. When ever I drive down there I get to Exeter and think I'm nearly there, but it a long slog still from there. Great video
Great you are in St. Ives, Cornwall which is another nice historical seaside town and as always i enjoy seeing the local businesses, stores, cafes, pubs, restaurants, museums, beaches, churches and everything a great town like this has in it to experience and I'm really enjoying everything take care and until your next town or village Thank You.☕👋🇬🇧
A few dotting the "i's" and crossing the "t's" The two beaches Tuffy mensions are actually spelt Porthmeor (which is the surfing beach) and Porthgwidden which is on the Island and has a double decker arrangement of beach huts and a restaurant. Finally the "Warren" is so called because before all the houses / cottages were built it was a heath/moorland type of area and yep, you guessed it, was overun by our little bunny rabbit friends, hence the Warren name. We are fortunate to be in St Ives in a fortnight for a fortnight, praying for the Indian Summer. We stay in apartments in Carbis Bay and go into St Ives on the train. £1 each way. Excellent value! To me St Ives is a "foody heaven" with so much variety and super restaurants. Neil, as ever, a fab video and included some "off the beaten track" views of St Ives that most folks wouldn't see.
Thank you for your great videos! they helped me get familiar with lyme regis and bigbury-on-sea, before i visited those beautfiul places 😊 now i'm going to st. ives in september and your video helped me with that too! so looking forward to it 😍 thanks again for the great work you're doing with your videos 🙏
Thank you so much. That means a lot and is very nice of you ❤️ You’re going to have a great time it’s such an amazing part of the world and beautiful in September too! Neil
@@GimbalWalkTV you're ever so welcome, well deserved and your vids are much appreciated. i live in switzerland but am a bit anglophyl, so your vids allow me to 'visit' england even from my sofa at home. or preparing for a trip. so wonderful 😊 and yes, i hope for mild weather in september.
@@claudiag965 I think it should be nice weather. We're currently heading for some storms this week so after that I'm hoping for a really hot few weeks afterwards Just in time for your trip hopefully!
5:59 Lands End is NOT the southernmost point of the United Kingdom. That accolade goes to Lizard Point which is 35 miles from Lands End and 27 miles from St Ives. Apart from that...great video!
Great video. Been there many times but usually in summer when it is much busier. Had lovely meals in a little restaurant called the Hobbler. Tuck away on the front. Believe it's now a home. Going back next week round the other side or maybe stroll along to Carbis bay.
I have visited St. Ives several times. There are 5 beaches. You only showed 2. You missed Porthgrithwen beach where the island is, Carbis Bay and Porthmor around the other side. Lovely video though.
Thanks for walking around St. Ives whilst I watched your enjoyable video from the comfort of my home😅 I haven't been to St Ives would love to visit out of season.
Neil you are a diamond.....yesterday my favourite city of York and today my favourite place in Britain of St Ives.....so many lovely memories of both. Thank you 😄😄🥰
Sorry but now I have to be a know it all sausage. Land’s End is neither the most southerly nor the most westerly point on the mainland U.K. That would be The Lizard and Ardnamurchan point (in the Highlands) respectively. Lovely to see St Ives on a beautiful day. Excellent video as usual.
😎Thank you! You always make it feel like one is actually there - taking the time to show architecture and beauty.
We go almost every year. Was there just 4 weeks ago, and miss it already. One of our best visits ever. Booked up for next August 👍🏻
Absolutely beautiful place not been in about seven years must go again one day soon I could quite easy go and live there

I cover the other beaches in other videos ❤️
There may be more than shown in the video, but i think the length of this video is about right. High standard too.

No idea where I got that info from!
@@GimbalWalkTV I think it’s a reasonable assumption
I love st Ives - (you missed off Porthmeor beach lol) - I’ve been wanting to relocate there for years - but so expensive 😢
True
Cormwall is so beautiful 😍 then Brighton and Blackpool
So true
You did St. Ives proud!👍🏻
I’m interested to know the date this was filmed. I’m guessing late April, early May with the new foliage just coming out.
Bang on - was April 20th!
I’ve watched all your St Ives Videos and they are really good. What date and month of this year was this latest video filmed please.
Thank you!
This one was filmed 20th April this year
Stunning
Lovely place isn’t it!
You might have posted this 2 weeks ago but it definitely is not August or the beaches and town would be rammed !
This is true!
Why go abroad.. when you have paradise on your doorstep
So true
I couldn’t agree more
