It is amazing yes! I have learned so many things watching your videos. So glad I happened upon your channel.I definitely will be following you along your journey! 👍
@ mobile instinct loved this video. I absolutely love your channel. You're one of my favorites. I would love to go exploring and I use to. I'm disabled now and live through your videos. Absolutely amazing. I have been binge watching trying to get all of them in. We have some salt flats here in Oklahoma. I've been to those. You dig down in the ground and can find big salt crystals. It's so cool. I'm from a little town in Oklahoma we're known to be the indian capital of the world. Would love to see you come and spend some time around here. So much to explore. Keep up the great work. 💕 It.
This is funny that I ran across your Channel. I just bought a pickup truck I'm saving up to buy a travel trailer and I'm going to be doing the same thing that you're doing right now. I do it part-time if when I had a car I just made my last trip about 2 weeks ago. Bought a pickup truck and then hopefully in sometime this spring I'll have a travel trailer and I'll be going on the road full time. Thanks for the inspiration.
Is there a museum or such anywhere near the flats? Guessing that there must be ,given the history for speed there? There must be some pretty interesting stuff that has been left behind from all the racing there? Had a look on google earth for something like that but could not find much. In my mind there is a bone yard full of retired and crashed racing machines bleaching in the hot dry sun? Wishful thinking I guess! Great video, keep them coming.
Many land speed records were set and broken here. Rocket powered "cars" were used here. Trucks as well. Famous names set these records. A testing grounds, as well.
Dude, as a Brit, I adore your videos, America is a fucking beautiful country, even though much of that beauty is out in the middle of nowhere! You guys have all these big open spaces to explore, and us Brits are stuck on a cold cramped island with little breathing space. Then I see videos like this, of a salt flat stretching on for miles, big open space, bet it must be a great place to stargaze too.
There would have been now way I could have done that with my late Grand Mothers car. She had a 1969 Oldsmobile Cutlass with a 400 Cub. Inch 6.0 liter V-8. I was left to drive it a few time, and you would place it in gear, let your foot off the break and it would ideal at 20 M.P.H. And yes, if I did that, I would really watch it drive away. lol
theres another one here in Australia called lake gairdner the salt here is much better but ur only allowed on the flats when the races are on because we have a special agreement with the local aboriginals. you also need to be either a racer or be a pit crew to be allowed on the actual salt. i still remember this one time some guy got a full sized semi truck trailer and all stuck on the salt XD good times
Thanks for bringing us these cool places, i cant get out of ohio lol. Would never know all this coolness exists 🥰. SAY A PRAYER FOR OUR TEXAS ANGELS, MAY THEY REST IN PARADISE, HOLD THEM CLOSE GOD.
Hey everyone, let me know what you think of the Bonneville Salt Flats!
Thats an awesome place. Make sure you clean the salt off of and out of you truck.

How did you finance all your travels??
Thanks for the posting! Looking forward to my 1st visit there this coming May.
Hey where have you been?
Make sure to wash the underside of your truck after being on that salt, prevent it from rusting.
what a beautiful place!!! and the sunset was even better. it looks like it just goes on forever.
Very cool place. It was like another world. Nice to see you as enthusiastic as you were. Great video, Chris.

The stars at night have to be amazing out there.
OMG dude when you licked the salt off the twig i was laughing me ass off at your reaction. That was funny my dude!!! Great vids!
Legend has it...if you stare into the distance long enough...you can see jack trying to pull the black pearl.
My mom used to race at the salt flats in New Mexico. Brought back memories from her but in a different area.
"Very salty!" LMAO what did you expect?? It's the salt flats! Not far from where I live. Neat to see. :)
Nice! I just dropped a video on my trip to Utah and this was one of out stops. I modified my skateboard so I could ride it on the salt flats lol
Interesting and cool spot. That sunset!

+Michael Skinner That sounds like it's gonna be amazing for you. Gotta make some videos!
I know im a year out from this video but absolutely amazing! If your ever in Houston, Texas I would like to tag along!
Another awesome video and such a majestic sunset.
+Patricia Herman One of my favorite sunsets I've seen!
Have to go there during August or September - it is packed with crazy people trying to go as fast as they can, that is the best time of the year.
Very interesting. Thank you so much for your work

+Andrew Wilson I don't think there is anything out there as far as museums. Possibly in Salt Lake City though. It's a good idea for sure
you didn't happen to see burt munro's red indian did you?
Great job.....out there once in the 60's , looks like it hasn't change a bit.... :D
That is the bus on America's album "Here and Now".
You licked that salt stick! That was so funny-your reaction was hysterical!
Many land speed records were set and broken here. Rocket powered "cars" were used here.
Trucks as well. Famous names set these records. A testing grounds, as well.
I bet it's incredible riding a bike out there!
pretty cool. I live in utah and have never been out there before. Will have to check it out

+Jackarantula Thanks so much, I appreciate that!
Another very interesting video !!!
My favorite thing was your shadow! Do you remember what time of day you were there in the beginning of the video?
There would have been now way I could have done that with my late Grand Mothers car. She had a 1969 Oldsmobile Cutlass with a 400 Cub. Inch 6.0 liter V-8. Yes be careful that you don't fall through that ice!
I've been there. Awesome
So cool!!
what time of year did you visit the flats

"No wind. Of course there's no BLOODY wind!"
One must have a peanut to survive.
Did you stop and check out the “Tree Art” along I-80?
May I ask what mic you use for your videos? The audio is really clear
I don't remember the name of it but just a generic Lapel mic with an H1 stand alone recorder.
Mobile Instinct Thanks
That's beautiful

That is one gigantic sky.
How does this only have 4700 views?!
I lived in Salt Lake City for 11 years and never even considered going to the Salt Flats.
Lame
Why not? What are the best places to see in the summer?
You would want to get that salt off your truck as soon as possible or your truck will look like it's from Minnesota !
This is one of the few places I want to see. The only time I’ve seen it is in Independent Day (film)
Let the salt flow
This place would be familiar to Knight Rider fans as part of the show's intro was filmed here.
Knight rider intro was filmed at El mirage dry lake outside California
would love to have a friend like you
Hopefully that's a rental...
It's like you're on another planet 👽
Imagine driving 425 mph on that
You gotta wash your car.. like 2 or 3 times. It wrecks metal
BTW y profile pic is of Ruby,Buggy at The Salt!
Can you do some 360 videos?
WOW
I want to go there.
Legend has it, that if you stare into the distance long enough, you can spot Will Smith dragging a dead alien in a parachute...😉😉😂😂
you should have tried to do a top speed run with your car
MABfan11 he shoulda tried the Kiki challenge when his car took off
Very much like ice. You better make sure you do a good wash on the undercarriage of your vehicle. That salt is corrosive stuff!
It was everywhere too! I spent a couple hours cleaning that all off the underside!
You should have went out there in your truck and floored it
Gorgeous ain't it?
Yr easily amoosed ehhh. LOVE IT HOWS MY TOF??
Trust us to find a pristine place created by nature and find a way to dump pollutants all over it.
Someone could make a buck or two working a fish and chips here, all the salt you could ever need.
Bring the camper to burning man
Why are you calling your big truck a car? wierd
No curve BAM Flat Earth 😎 remember he's got a fisheye lens on that camera
