If you have enough space when you wrap it around the tree, you could just make a girth hitch on the tag end, then pass the strap through the hitch, and it will cinch tight and sag less than a gravity hitch.
Nice job. I was just considering doing this exact thing with some cord I found in the woods and using a cam jam to pull it tight, but just realized I don't need the cam jam thanks to your video!

@@ryantiffany1027 - There is more than one way to get it done. This was the most cost effective way I’ve found and I have a few seasons now on the same paracord hanger.

What length of paracord do you start with?

I think mine was around 10 feet in length but you can make it as long you want. I went with that because of the trees I normally hunt out of aren’t that big in diameter but I wanted enough to pass through so I could hang my backpack off the tag end. 👍

Have you thought of any way to get it taught without having to use your bag and gravity? I sometimes go in bagless.

@@ryanlowe2571 - I have not. You could loop it back over itself and use a clip to attach it to itself. Might not be super tight but if the tree has enough texture it should grip. Test it out and see what you get. Good luck this season!
