It's called consistency.. If the noise budget is getting cut in the engine department, the noise budget is getting cut in the video department, too. Don't want one to feel self-conscious around the other. :P
Good grief. For a video about a "quiet airplane," they pound us over the head with booming bass-filled music. Who could possibly hear a passing airplane over the racket raised by this little video?
CyberCanadian it's impractical as it would require a ton of pilot training for widespread use and alot more maintenence and fuel costs. it just won't be profitable.
CyberCanadian plus I'd rather keep flying fixed wing aircraft instead of VSTOLs as its extremely reliable and is a highly efficient platform that can be adapted to anything
No, they have MAX8. You can find photos and videos of real traffic in Praha, where the 737MAX is moving on taxiway. TravelService has in service OK-TVT, which you can see on video from Czech Airlines channel on YT. The name of the video is Antonov AN224 v Praze I think
Why not revive the b757. its got better performace, And uses less runway with higher payload, with much more powerful engines. on VR takes less time and speed. it was a great plane
just took my first commercial flight from Sioux Falls, SD to NY and I was always told that when in the plane it was very quiet and on both legs of my trip I could barely hear myself think. I was shocked at how ungodly loud it was in the cabin. Why not work on sound proofing the cabin so the passengers who pay the crazy amounts for tickets can enjoy the flight?
first off, how do you know that? The plane is not out yet! And the seat configuration has nothing to do with the aircraft manufacturer, boeing recommends a very comfortable cabin, but the airlines ignore that and fills the cabin with as many seats as possible!
@Boeing, that's all very well and fine, but as traveller, one thing that beats me into exhaustion is inside the cabin noise. I more affected because of long legs, I tend to purchase sits near the wings. What have you done to reduce the inner noise?
The thing that I don't like about the 737 MAX, is the cockpit. I like the NG one instead of the MAX kinds. That's what I don't like Boeing company people. But everything else is GOOOOD. FOR THE FUTURE
Some of us like the sound and being able to identify the location of planes from a distance to gaze at them and forget that we are droning away at our jobs.
cool plane but i hate the business talk of "redefining what a quiet plane is" that phrase clearly came from some shirts in a boardroom meeting and its not true, a quiet plane is still a quiet plane lol
You cannot do anything better than doing things to help people l hope these people are successful in making this a better world and not look for a bigger bank account .
Unfortunately, modern aviation is getting very bland ... Real plane MUST TO make noise !! Just remember the best sound in the world that is produced by the Boeing 737-200 !!...

It's a bit ironic that the explanation given by the 737 MAX Noise Certification Engineer was barely audible 😂
had the exact same thought
John Neves That's just how quiet the engine is. 😆
then it must work.... right? :P
and yet the audio quality of this video is this horrible!

😂😂😂
Gerardo Flores get better headphones then
Actually i like the loud airplane noise! Lol
Yoel Febrian .
Yoel Febrian same! I like loud roars that planes make rather than quiet
I miss louder airplanes like the 727
Nha tho tan phu
pilotosh70 if you want sound buy a Tesla
Those LEAP engines look great!
Good grief. For a video about a "quiet airplane," they pound us over the head with booming bass-filled music. Who could possibly hear a passing airplane over the racket raised by this little video?
Tom Hoots y yyyyyyyyyyyy6ykarensnrws
Pretty ironic how several parts of this video are terribly loud. Needs better EQ
Why not get a noctua fan?
Smyalygames boi
or maybe a bequiet fan
***** AMD stock cooler fan xD
Smyalygames ugly
Rat Face make sure its not the wraith cooler
How about making a vertical take off plane ?
CyberCanadian that's a terrible idea that would make a extreme amount of cost pair lift off and I also think landing it would be hard
Alex Planchon Well it's Elon Musk's idea. He's normally right.
CyberCanadian it's impractical as it would require a ton of pilot training for widespread use and alot more maintenence and fuel costs. it just won't be profitable.
Joseph Penn It would have to be mostly electric and solar. I agree it would't be profitable today. We are at least 10 years away.
CyberCanadian plus I'd rather keep flying fixed wing aircraft instead of VSTOLs as its extremely reliable and is a highly efficient platform that can be adapted to anything
The thoughts that one day I will fly with the 737 MAX excites me :D
The fact that someday I will FLY the 737 max makes me insane :D
Bon oko
Lr Ray Wellington
Ray Wellington
Oh boy. I couldn't have said that any better! It's only 8 years from now for me.
Ray Wellington I'm excited about this plane because I have a feeling that the majority of my flying career will be spent on this airplane.
Wow 40% less noise then the previous generation, that's a lot. Boeing ROCKS!!.
1:21 i think they used a noise microphone to pick up his voice XD
Ahh, good old Glasgow, Montana. Goes well with London, California. I was a little stumped when I heard Glaswegians talking with an American accent.
It's my dream to work at boeing. Ever since i was a kid. And i am only 14.
In 2017? I saw that some airlines have these 737Max in service for almost year, for example TravelService/SmartWings
The don't have the MAX they have 737NG
No, they have MAX8. You can find photos and videos of real traffic in Praha, where the 737MAX is moving on taxiway. TravelService has in service OK-TVT, which you can see on video from Czech Airlines channel on YT. The name of the video is Antonov AN224 v Praze I think
OK-TVT is a 737-800 which is part of the 737NG family.
taht is B737 Ng with split scimitar
Oh. I thought that 737 with dual winglet is always MAX version :D
Very interesting. I personally love the sound of a loud engine. To me it's one of the best sounds in the world.
Why not revive the b757. its got better performace, And uses less runway with higher payload, with much more powerful engines. on VR takes less time and speed. it was a great plane
aky19832001 Rumor has it, Boeing is developing a split scimitar version of the 757.
just took my first commercial flight from Sioux Falls, SD to NY and I was always told that when in the plane it was very quiet and on both legs of my trip I could barely hear myself think. I was shocked at how ungodly loud it was in the cabin. Why not work on sound proofing the cabin so the passengers who pay the crazy amounts for tickets can enjoy the flight?
There's an A320 at 2:10 :D
Fly Blue™ Yeah, what the heck. This is the 737 not Airbus!
That's a 737, not an A320!
Looking forward to flying it. GO BOING !!! 👍
Okay, but ambient wind, and it is windy in MT, will slightly alter the test results.
It's still an uncomfortable cabin -- six-across and no legroom.
first off, how do you know that? The plane is not out yet!
And the seat configuration has nothing to do with the aircraft manufacturer, boeing recommends a very comfortable cabin, but the airlines ignore that and fills the cabin with as many seats as possible!
It's an interesting area!
thats due to the titanium inner wall no longer made for the 737 max
so you won't so much hear it coming?
1:40 At the top there's nbiru
@Boeing, that's all very well and fine, but as traveller, one thing that beats me into exhaustion is inside the cabin noise. I more affected because of long legs, I tend to purchase sits near the wings. What have you done to reduce the inner noise?
It sucks that some people don't like loud airplanes. I personally love he loud roar of an aircraft. Especially on takeoff.
That's one sexy airplane!
Thanks GE Aviation!!
there an international right in front of my house and I love the noise
For this video being focused on sound, the sound quality kinda sucked.
The thing that I don't like about the 737 MAX, is the cockpit. I like the NG one instead of the MAX kinds. That's what I don't like Boeing company people. But everything else is GOOOOD. FOR THE FUTURE
A step closer to the remote holy grail of whisper-quiet gas turbine tech.
That'll be a sad day.
vtwinbreed Why?
Some of us like the sound and being able to identify the location of planes from a distance to gaze at them and forget that we are droning away at our jobs.
vtwinbreed You have a strong point there (that applies to me too...which didn't occur to me until now).
Ahmad Dan-Hamidu rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
The most durable efficient and reliable machine in the world.
Usman Ali No, the 777-300ER is. And the 777X will be the next in line.
Awesome video!
But we love engine sound 😔
but i like loud planes :(
Maumauthelink me to, I only hate if it oscillates

I like the noise though! aviation enthusiasts like me are mad I bet
it says 2 comments but I didn't see the comments
Muhammad Nur Arifin rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Omg, Boeing is awesome, and that plane is amazing! Can't wait to fly on it! :)
Good work, corporate overlords.
You cannot do anything better than doing things to help people l hope these people are successful in making this a better world and not look for a bigger bank account .
the world could sleep in peace

Boeing, your awesome

Bombardier CSeries is still better
Noice
it's still a flying school bus.
no, that's the job of the airbus.
ف
A320neo is better!
Andrew Anane you auck, 737 burns less fuel then neo
suck*
Ethan Flanigan nope, many airlines prefer the a320neo that's why it has more orders.
First

first?
I prefer airbus
Sorry, Airbus already does it better.
