I warn beginners against grinding mobs in spots for a long time. If you do this for more than an hour, you run the risk of getting tired and falling asleep on the keyboard, and this will cause you to lose more than you earn, as you will most likely drop crystals! I write from my own experience :/ Really, life skills are a safer and more stable income :)
Grinding still beats standing in front of a cooking utensil for an hour :D
