I believe that the differences in their taste, besides their own preferences, is that Xóchitl seems to have been born and raised in Mexico while Lucy seems to be born and raised as Mexican-American. It’s interesting to watch.
Huh? Both of them were born and raised Mexican. This has nothing to do with mexican americans. It’s called people having individual tastes.

I was thinking the same (I was born and raised in mexico, and I do not live in the states xD). But to be fair, my parents and grandparents would agree with Lucy in most cases. The generation between me and my older cousins (30 to 50) loved most of the junk food they showed in the video, but my parents absolutely hated it (for similar reasons as Lucy said).
Maybe they were both raised "Mexican" but with a different "snacking" culture, imposed by their parents or family members.

All Mexicans in Mexico like either chocorroles, gansito or pinguinos, they are the most popular marinela cakes, maybe since they haven't really lived in Mexico their tastebuds are different and they dislike them.
Facts. My mom was born in Mexico and gansitos and pingüinos are on her top even though she loves pretty much everything.

When I was 8-13 yo in Dominican Republic I would go to the mini market to get one Mamut every day because I couldn't afford to get more so I had to save for the next day. It really brought me to tears seeing Mamuts again :')

Rancheritos were my favorite growing up in Mexico!! The churrumais and colmillos we’re close second! Every time I went to Mexico (3-5x a year for 18 years 3 months in the summer -okay, y’all get it lol) I couldn’t wait to walk to the tiendita to get them. I can’t believe they didn’t like them 🤣 I could eat them every day!

Growing up as a Mexican is having the chips whenever you went to a Calimax or a Gigante/Soriana or an Oxxo while your parents always got Galletas Maria or Duros and then growing into liking both of them equally. Extraño a mi tierra linda
