    I just listened to an "Uncommon Marriage" and am really grateful for the Dungy's vulnerability, honesty and candidness. They have accomplished so much all to the glory of God. That's what brought me here to listen to more of what Tony has accomplished and has had to say. The speech was very honoring to many throughout his life. This is a first class couple.

    I was at the 97 Bucs playoff game 15 yrs old. Grew up with Tony Dungy’s SB winning Bucs. Love those teams. What they could of been if he stayed with the Bucs entire HC career.

    • @Alan-oj3ps
      @Alan-oj3ps 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I love Dungy but he built a powerhouse defense here in Tampa with a lackluster offense. During his final 3 playoff games with the Bucs we scored a grand total of zero touchdowns against the Rams in 99, Eagles in 2000, then Eagles again in 2001. Gruden comes in the next year and with the help of newcomers on offense scores 13 postseason touchdowns en route to a Super Bowl victory. If Dungy had a respectable offense that defense could have won at least 3 championships. If anything Dungy cost us some Super Bowls. Gruden won the Super Bowl with Dungy's team is one of the biggest myths in sports.

    17 minute speech and he doesn't take 5 seconds to acknowledge Peyton Manning by name. I understand Dungy's intentions to bring attention to those 10 minority coaches that never got the limelight but I think he will regret not mentioning Manning. Without Manning Dungy doesnt even sniff the HoF. To those that disagree I point to exhibit A: Lovie Smith.

    • @carmens3685

      As huge a Peyton fan as I am, this wasn't the occasion to make it about him. He is a GREAT QB, maybe one of the greatest, but in the scheme of the game, he was doing his job. Dungy wanted players to know how he esteems them all. This day was about a football life and body of work.

    • @sethmorgan833
      @sethmorgan833 8 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Well technically he did when he told all the players that had played for him to stand. Peyton was one of them and he recognized them as a group not as individuals. Football is a team sport not an individual. Let's let the truth be told Peyton wouldn't have been Peyton is it wasn't for Edgerin James, Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne, Dwight Freeney, Bob Sanders , Coach Dungy, Von Miller, DeMarreus Thomas, John Elway this list goes on an own. People so forget all about the other parts that made Peyton great because with out the players and coaches and team execs would Peyton be a first ballot Hall of Famer
