It's Saturday morning here and I've just dropped my son off at his math tutoring session and am now sitting in a Starbucks with a Venti houseblend. I've just finished the latest offering on the vlog and I've only got a limited time to ruminate over it. Okay... So Here We Go... Lots to see and talk about in this, but really the thing that jumps out from the screen is TIME!!! The vlog started with a theme that is timeless in its own sense. How many parents have had their kids almost explode with excitement on the morning before a family event? I can remember our own 4th of July family gatherings and how we, as kids, were fired up beyond belief and waited for that day to come. There was little or no sleep the night before and we spent the mornings of the 4th bouncing back and forth between our parents asking repeatedly when we were ready to leave. The three of us were like little superballs, careening around the house between our mother and father. I can only imagine how much energy it took from them trying to calm us down. Wil, you brought that memory vividly back to me. Before the drive, you said that it would take Mudra ten hours to get to the park. You did get some good "B-Roll", but you got something else too... time where you could sit back, relax and enjoy the ride. You could take it all in... This is perhaps a time when sitting back, looking around and reflecting is the absolute greatest gift you can give yourself. What I saw in the rest of the vlog confirms that there is soooooo much to take in, reflect upon, and be grateful for. You guys went to the Redwoods. If there was anything in this world that lets us know that we are relatively small and part of a larger plan and scheme of things... it's a redwood forest. Call it what you want, but it proves to me that something greater than we are has been at work in this world and is still around directing things. The fact that you and your family and friends come here every year to connect, share, and enjoy life is proof of a great connection between temporary human beings and the ageless. I had this mental picture of the group as they climbed in the stump as if they all gleefully climbed into a giant, eternal hand. The God that I believe in smiles when it gets a little loud and the Rangers are called in to restore some sort of order. Finally, I loved the little things... the spiderweb you briefly caught as the camera came into focus... Pudra and Mudra in a quiet moment... and the final thing was actually the best. The young girl getting water. She is the new in the middle of the old and timeless. This is one of the best things I've seen you do. The coffee's done and I have to go pick up my son from his math session. I'm hoping his head hasn't exploded... Keep on keepin' on!

Alodia makes Wil really happy. I can see the joy in his eyes just staring at Alodia... She is one in a million, very simple and kind and beautiful. My husband and I have actually been here in 2015 because he is an avid Starwars fan. I had so many photos with every red wood tree 😂😂😂 He said it's not every day that we get to come here so we made the most out of it.
I get it now.. been noticing Alodia’s recent vlogs getting better because of your influence Wil, she has learned how to make it more lively like your vlogs - and now, this very relaxed vlog which seems very much the same vibe as most of Alodia’s vlogs- and loving it coz it’s refreshing once in a while for a cool change, which we need. So you have both influenced each other in a good way. Both of you really do balance each other off :)

I agree. I was thinking throughout the entire video that this has to be one of his best vlogs. Wil and Alodia are so natural together, that it makes his vlogs one of the best on TH-cam when she is present in it. I believe that it even makes his edits and music choices better. Having the added benefit of family surrounding him was icing on the cake. Authentic, natural, superb. Perhaps an evolution of Wil's work? Time will tell. Wil, I am a Pinoy transplanted here in La for 21 yrs., I love this vlog. For the past few years, all I want is get out of California and explore the world when everything is in our backyard. I was in awe of Moon Bay in Maui when We drove one day in Hwy 1 from LA to SF and I saw it looked like Maui. Last summer, we hiked up Crescent Lake in Mammoth Lakes and I was in awe. It was the same as Lake Moraine. Watching this wants me to explore California closely. Salamat sa Vlog. I love Wilodia, love ko rin c Pudra. Mudra is such a doting mom. C Lola is hilarious. 😃 Haley din:). You are an epitome of positivity. I work in a hospital (sino Pinay na hindi) and I come to work and give my best smile and positivity to some of my sickest patients and give them encouragement bec I see in you hope that eventhough you have cancer, you can still share the love😍😍. But now I love watching you show Alodia around California 👌🏻 I was recently diagnosed with a stage 2 brain tumour and had to cancel my trip back to the Philippines this month so now I’m looking forward to showing my husband around Vancouver Island!

One thing I've noticed was that Wil's age group whom he grew with going through woods were absent. Millennials were too busy earning for a living and forgetting to relax for awhile. Hope Dylan and Zach (Efrons) could spent a little time with you and of course together with your childhood friends. Lots of good old memories will be recalled then and friendship renewed. Waiting for that event if it did happen.

I even ordered some Giant Redwoods from California, to plant, but only one took, behind my barn here in New England. It's doing great ! ..only 3 feet high, but in the future it will be huge ! I'll take a picture and post..IF I CAN FIND MY NIKON charger !!..Hey here's an idea. Wil, in 60 years, can you come take a picture of "The giant Redwood that lives in New England". ?lol.
