Two things, 1. Please tell Erin she is awsome 2. Can you do a video about how to deal with the same situation in mma with different methods (like one solution from the striking world, the other from bjj etc)?
Hey Shane, I just came up with this idea (hopefully could use in the future) You should analyse top MMA, Muay Thai, BBJ, Boxing fighters and summarise their fighting style and/ or most popular techniques/ moves. You could also demonstrate it yourself...? I love your vids, keep it up. Cheers from Australia 🇦🇺
It’s not entirely popular and very misunderstood/misrepresented in MMA but please please please make a short video on some judo style takedowns for mma
I love all your videos, especially these ones with Erin. Would love to attend a seminar with either OR both of you. I love BJJ and Muay Thai! Thank you for all the great videos.
Thank you Shane for always inviting peepz to help us teach some fight knowledge I still remember the other bjj vid with Coach Phil Migliarese. Thanks for Coach Erin for making the X-Guard clear, this always kills me in nogi and gi BTW you also might wanna try to get in touch with Chewjitsu, .. Hes a cool dude 👊😍🙌
EgA Immortals you can somehow ‘escape’ but most of the time if its from a legit grappler who practice for a while its game over. The best thing to do is try not to get into it, its almost like asking a video like how to escape a chokehold while its locked in...it done, best is not to get choked. Same with the crucifix
Bjj for mma is very situational. Like most of the time you'll never use the more complicated techniques, but if you know them, eventually you'll get into a scenario where those techniques will give you an edge.
Great explanation, but I do not like the foot in the armpit x-guard and only use it when transitioning from single leg x. Over the shoulder is superior in off balancing especially with taller opponents. Watch Marcelo Garcia when he transitions from single leg to regular x he switches foot positions of his opponent.
Do u guys think if she had me in x guard and knew I was gonna pull my leg out wouldn’t it be better if u just went down to full guard on to her to get out ?? Just thinking
@@slumpig360 stomp with the back foot idiot and incest you don't realise the back foot is the one behind at the time it's the right leg and foot back leg/foot hopefully I've dumbed this down enough
Well I mean these moves are mostly purely for sport bjj and don't take real fighting in mind. They're high level techniques you use on other high level practitioners where the more common moves are too predictable or ineffective against people at that level.
@@bl__k8685 Your black belt friend must have stomped you one too many times as nothing you typed made any sense. I feel sorry for you. The whole point of x-guard is 2 v 1 control of the back foot. I'm afraid you only have a blue belt in international keyboard jitsu. Best get a refund from your sensei.
I can safely say that this is my 4th time watching this video, and every time I watch it, I land x guard sweeps more often
Wow Erin is really good at explaining the X-guard!

Watch Mighty Mouses One Championship fight, his opponent escaped it more than once by scrambling but it's certainly a tough one
Step one get wrist control..... two... take out your gun. Now you’re in control.

they just drop all weight on me, like I'm a chair. Anyway to prevent this? Do I not want to be in x guard too long? whats up?
good tips, thanks for telling the baiting and timing piece. Osss
How well does this work in no-gi Jiu-Jitsu and MMA? It looks like a dangerous position to be in for MMA

Yes really good explained, please make clip in casual dress and explain in Street fight situations.. how to make the opponent to suffer...

Btw keep up the great work Shane
Solid teacher.
This is very helpfull thank yoy
the second technique is specially good for me. Thank you
Excellent. I needed this but I'm going to do the obvious leglocks from there.
Yeah really wish she wouldve gone into the locks after completing the sweeps just to give us some insight
@@alejandroc7357
It's like the leglocks are staring her in the face and she's oblivious to them. It's so frustrating.
X guard seems to employ harimau silat ideas. Very nice to see the overlap and differences.

White belt with a red bar?
Maybe he's a watch lover.
The priest used to do this at the local church apart from there was always a hard stick in his pocket
No bashing on bjj but that looks like a very vulnerable position
That would be most useful in sport jiu jitsu to score points for a sweep.
All martial arts put you in vulnerable positions in that specific sport. That is why we have MMA
@@ncongnolancong ok thanks your your explanation
This is for when you want to sweep your standing opponent to the ground.

Why do you have a red stripe on your belt? If you're a white belt, it doesnt make sense for you to be an instructor.
"You wanna be really sticky"
Weird how you can always tell the muggles.
