    Omg, not many people know or react to Yngwie Malmsteen. He is my favourite guitarist, it's great to see that, great pick. He's so fast that you can't see all the notes he's hitting, amazing. Thank you.

    The thing with Yngwie is I have NEVER heard him muddy or miss a note. He is perfectly clean on everything he plays.

    Here is a true story. In about 1985 me and my friend and bass player Tommy were going down a road called Westheimer in SW Houston on a Saturday night and we saw a line outside a club called Cardie's. Up on the marquis it said "Alcatraz Tonight ONLY". I thought "who the hell is Alcatraz? Great name for a band." We parked the car, walked up to the line and started talking to a guitar player I knew from another band and asked him who is Alcatraz? He said he had never heard of them but Graham Bonnet from Rainbow was the singer. Wow, we said. Let's check it out. $5 cover charge and an hour later out walks a 19 year old Yngwie Malmsteen with that cream yellow strat and a single Marshall stack and the rest is history. That guy blew every musician in the place off their feet. I decided to go to college after that. Seeing Eric Johnson a couple years before that at a GREAT club on the west side called Rockefellers didn't help either. Seeing those two guys, Malmsteen and Johnson, showed me that there are some really, REALLY fabulous players out there and if you aren't that good, you better just move on. Hope you enjoyed this true story..... I'll remember it till I die.

    Thank you brother for the positive reaction. Not everyone likes him but credit needs to be given to such a phenomenal guitarist man! I’m a guitarist too and there’s a lot of haters out there. Can we just give this man a round of applause and just marvel in what he was able to accomplish in his guitar journey?

    If you don't know the breadth and scale of the work Yngwie has made, you're missing out. He's a pioneer of really technical and fast guitar playing and every shredder and power metal band out there own him so much for being a pioneer and pushing the playing technique of quitar and the neo classical style of metal to their limits :)
    As an easy start point I'd recommend his Rising Force (Live in Leningrad, 1989) that can be found on YT
    And then from that maybe to his "Concerto Suite for Electric Guitar and Orchestra in E Flat Minor" with th-cam.com/video/H6Ds6GN_CyY/w-d-xo.html
    Can be a bit much the latter, but that's the breadth of the body of work he's done.
    There's even a long multi episode documentary of a one guitar player trying to understand his playing technique back in the day etc...
    He's a giant that too few know of.
    I'm not even a guitarist (I play keyboards) , but he's basically the guy to study if one wants to compose and understand neo classical ANYTHING :)

    I remember when this came out around 1983 or so, it simply changed the paradigm. Suddenly everybody wanted to improve their playing. The same happened with EVH and JH. This lad was a radical game changer. 🤔. Today he's criticised for having a difficult personality and having an abusive use of the melodic minor scale. But this doesn't cancel out that he is one of the 3 major rock guitarists ever.

    • @SamFreres
      @SamFreres 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Harmonic Minor scale, Yngwie never plays the Melodic Minor scale.
      Just learn the Phrygian, Phrygian Dominant, natural Minor and diminished scales and That’s the bulk of his sound.

    • @kraftwerk974
      @kraftwerk974 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SamFreres Hi ! I'm neither a player or a theory freak. But thank you for correcting that point. Just wanted to point out to young audiences what an earthquake YM was in 1983. Younger people don't actually realise that.

    Music acts of Yngwie Malmsteen are cantautor work same as known classical opus of last 3 centuries. I gave his Concerto for guitar with Japanese filcharmony to Academy of Music in my country. Goal was to officialy evaluate his knowledge, skills and individual contribution to music history , especially in Guitar cathedra of Academy.
    After one week, Academy proffesor board decided to mark following as "unique upgrade of classical music culture": Degree of Academy maestro for guitar , Class of unique style interpreteurs.
    Generally granted degree of Teacher composer.
    Songs from main opus was choice of 12 tracks played on highest quality music sound system in Acoustic Chambers.
    All 12 passed complete technical and theory check review.
    Only one thing is " kindly suggestion and critic" and it is Code of appearance( clothes, jewelry, and stage image). Everything is excellent and recognised, and Malmsteen could just change his costume to play as academic- decent and noble classical suite with less Insignia ( gold and Silver).

    Jesus is Lord! Believe in Him to be saved! We are all sinners in need of a savior. All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God! We have all lied, stolen, blasphemed, lusted, fornicated or in some way shape or form broken God's law! There is good news though! We broke God's law, but Jesus payed our fine in his life's blood for us that we might be saved. All you have to do to be saved is humble yourself, admit you are a sinner and need God's mercy, and believe in Jesus that he died on the cross for you and rose again on the third day! For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth on Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16. I love you all and God bless you!
