Your parents helping you build this tree is soo wholesome! I bet your birbs love it. Can’t wait to try to make something like it for my Quaker and Parrotlet 🥰
Great set up!! A large storm just passed through and a pine tree near my house dropped a bynch of brenches that im going to use for a tree stand, so ty for the tutorial!! Also, just an fyi, I noticed you have a lot of cotton rope perches, and it seems like some bird has been chewing on them. Parrots can't actually digest cotton rope , so chewing on it can cause a crop impaction. Requiring surgery which is very dangerous for parrots. I'd recommend removing those and replacing them with hemp rope perches or wooden perches :)
Id be careful with pine wood as it can contain some toxic oils to parrots. You can find a list of same woods for parrots such as apple, maple, dragon, java, grape etc. Thank you for the advice they have been removed since this video and ive added more natural stuff like jute ☺️
@mimisbirdhouse thank you for letting me know! I was hoping to use pine as the only other trees around are birch, maple, oak, and aspen however they've all dropped their leaves which means I'm unable to identify them(and not all are safe). Looks like my bird isn't getting that stand until summer lol
@@kurakumi8826 of sorry good news! I mixed up the woods in my head with another one and I believe pine is safe :) I EDIT: Regardless id give the specific type of pine tree a google search and see if it needs to be baked as it isnt the most ideal wood
Thank you so much for sharing this!! I've been really wanting to make a structure like this! I purchased a small 18", portable tree stand (that's nice looking) for my birds. It was pretty expensive considering how small it is. They're finally warming up to it, but I want something bigger and with a variety of branch widths, etc.
11:04 I'm glad I'm not the only one who collects their birds' feathers. 🙂 Does the hemp well actually work? I've tried Avian Calm. It doesn't seem to do much for my birds. I just adopted an adorable 8 year old Green Cheek conure who is quite hormonal right now (due to molting, I'm guessing). Anyway, Avian Calm doesn't do anything for him either. I'd really like to find something that works.
Hi Mimi Rose! 🙋🏻♀️ What a beautiful bird tree! And your birds are like so cute sitting and relaxing in the tree 🦜🌿 Very nice bird room and fun play stand with the box with toys. I’d also want to make a bird tree for my birds some day. Thanks for the inspiration and the tutorial! Also very nice idea with the feathers in a jar, and the pictures of your birds and drawings. The Pokemon cards of your birds are cute too! I also saw those cards at WarGamingParrot and BirdNerdSophie their channels. Greetings from The Netherlands! Merlinda and my budgies Chewie, Baby Yoda, Sasuke, Naruto, Baby Mulan and Momo 🦜💜
Greeting right back! Thank you so much im glad i could inspire you. I also see you are an anime fan 👀 Im a huge anime fan i noticed by your birds names
Hi @@mimisbirdhouse ! Cool you also like anime! 😊Yes I named my birds after my fave anime characters! Naruto was the first anime I really liked. So when I got 4 new budgies last year, they had to be Naruto and Sasuke. And the other 2 Momo and Baby Mulan. Momo from Avatar the Last Airbender, I found really cute. And Baby Mulan is named after Mulan from Disney. And after my previous bird Mulan (also a budgie) who unfortunately passed away last year. She was 8 years old. Then very sadly 4 months later I lost my oldest bird Sammie (also a budgie). He was 12 years old! I went to the avian vet with both of them. But unfortunately Mulan died 1 month after the avian vet visit and Sammie 2 months after the avian vet visit. I still miss Mulan and Sammie every day. Because of bird channels like yours and other bird channels, I learned a lot about how to improve the care for my birds. And about a healthier diet. I'm planning to get 2 Cockatiels to add to my flock. And looking around for a good flight cage to buy and to get ready first. Hi to your flock and have a good day! 🦜🌸
@@merlinda3170 i am so so sorry for your losses 🥺 Im really happy though to hear how much you want to improve. We all learn and improve on their care so you arnt alone. Cockatiels are my favourite, such sweet birds. Ive also rewatched avatar the last airbender 74x. (Im not joking i love that show)
Thank you @@mimisbirdhouse 🙏 Ohh wow that's a lot! I still have to finish Avatar, I'm also rewatching Naruto at the moment. And watching some series on Netflix too. Too much to watch haha 😄 Ohh btw, I have a question. Do you know if Cat Grass is safe to feed to budgies? I read different things online, and don't know if it's safe or not. I gave it to my birds before, and they really love to play in it and also eat it. After 1 or 2 hours I did remove the cat grass, otherwise they would have eaten the whole thing all in once. One of my birds also loves to throw the soil out of the pot of the cat grass. As I don't know if she eats the soil and if that's safe or not, I put little pebbles on top of the soil. So at least it's more difficult to get to the soil. I want to buy the cat grass again, but not if I know for sure if it's safe to give. On the other bird channels I've also never seen anyone giving cat grass.
@@Najumulsaqib i have too! Which is why we have a strict rule of never turning on ceiling fans. I have a caged floor fan for hot days, we also have a special air vent that has different modes we got off amazon and one of them is fan circulating the air, or i open the window that has a mesh net for fresh air. As for air conditioning, it has to be low and NEVER directly on them. I always make sure the room is minimum of 20 degrees Celsius

Definitely a much cheaper option than buying a Java Wood Perch, I love what your parents created!
Me too 😭 and its so much more enriching for them to bite and play!
