@@connectwithmayank that's weird you must be missing something it works fine for me. try to export it for premiere or final cut rather than davinci resolve Like --export premiere
Hello there, try to import the original video file to davinci resolve before you import the xml file. Or another option try to export for final cut instead of premiere pro. Let me know if that helps.
and when I look at the errors I see that it tries to search for the wrong filename for example "c:CusersCuserCvideosCvideo.mp4". for some reason it adds filepath to searched filename, and it also adds it uncorrectly (should be / instead of C)
Nice, it lags my computer out because it makes so many cuts I changed the margin, made the cuts worse but also didn't improve performance It seems to work great I just can't run it well and now the paid version is $75
Good tool. What's the purpose of exporting into final cut pro or Davinci resolve? is it for us to be able to visualize the parts that have been cut off and make adjustment?
yes, if you export it to another video editor it's just easier to make adjustments and further tweak your video, unless you don't want all of that and you just want to make cuts then you can do it straight up from the tool. I would still not recommend it though. since exporting in final cut or DaVinci gives you more control over your exported footage and quality.
Yes because when you import the xml file, there will be a pop up window to set up the xml settings so you have to change its properties to match it with your timeline!
Im getting this error in my cmd when trying to run the --help or to auto-edit a vid: "ValueError: builtins.type size changed, may indicate binary incompatibility. Expected 888 from C header, got 880 from PyObject". Anybody have the same issue or know how to solve this?
Hay Ali can you make a video how its work because we are facing while exporting the file . it's didnot found the file . for both davinci and premiere . :-(
My Final Cut pro will not import the fcpxml file. It's using 1.10 xml version and my file is 1.11. How do i Export my Auto-editor file using 1.10 instead of 1.11?
'auto-editor' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. It gives this warning in the xml section. please help me
Please make sure you add python to path when you first install it. So uninstall python and reinstall it again, but this time make sure you add it to path just like I did in the video. Hope this helps :)
Oh that's because you need to adjust the silence detection please refer to the manual for more information, you can basically change when to cut the silence etc. Use this for example: auto-editor example.mp4 --margin 0.2sec This will add 0.2sec margin, you can change the 0.2sec to your liking. For more details refer to this manual here: github.com/WyattBlue/auto-editor Also you can use this command for for more features: auto-editor --help This will show you all the things you can do with this tool. I think for premiere you should not drag and drop the XML file instead right click on the media panel inside of premiere then import the XML that way. Let me know if that works
Thank you for this video. This will speedup my workflow. Which attribute under --export is best for davinci resolve? Is "premiere" the best option like what you did in your video? Hello there, glad you find it useful. I used the same option for premiere pro. Honestly it doesn't matter because the xml file is a non-destructive file, which means it's not yet rendered so it's not going to effect the quality of your video.

Appreciate your feedback!
Hey thank you for commenting, unfortunately it doesn't work for CapCut because CapCut doesn't support XML files
@@Ali.abdlkareem as a Creator myself I appreciate the chances to comment on other people's videos that bring great value!, so TH-cam algorithm sees it.
Thank you very much and good luck with your ventures!
"clip is not found" when I import the XML, its corrupted
Make sure you import the original video file to the video editor and then import the XML FILE. Also keep both the original video and the XML FILEs together in the same folder on your PC. That way the XML file can recognize your video and read it without any problems. Hope this helps.
doesn't give me add to path option on MacBook?

Hi there, did you add Python to the path, when downloaded it, just like I showed in the video? if not please try installing python again, but before you do so, uninstall python first and then install it again. hope this helps.
same issue for me, did u ever figure it out? i tried as said below and still did not work. double checked environment variables too

@@raphedit_ fair, thanks for the reply :)
Not working for vegas pro with xml export & import, please update
I am getting "The clip was not found" error. What to do ?
Change the name of the clip make sure you are typing the right extension for example mp4 or mkv ...etc
It keeps saying "error, input file doesn't exist" I tried renaming it and moving the file, I also tried typing in the command and copying and pasting the command, is there something I'm doing wrong?
Thanks bro you have saved me a lot of work , i hope one day you can also come up with a video of how to edit a Podcast AI way. Thanks a lot bro, i cant fail to subscribe
Thanks for the idea! I will try to 😊
Can we use it with CapCut ?
No, Capcut doesnt suport XML files
Is there any other Option Then Davinci, davinci doesn't support my laptop, any other free option. Please help
Hi there, this works with any other video editing software that supports XML files!
Is it me or is this auto-editor "broken". Done a millions tests every test it only trims the silence from start and leaves the end-silence un-touched.
or are my settings just wrong?
anyone here knows the correct working cmd line string?thx
just wow I have been struggling to do this thank you for showing this.
i am using VSDC Video editor is there any format that can be imported in vsdc
Thank you for your video. Now in 2024, the developer of this tool created the Resolve export. Anyway, I believe there is something wrong with my mic because the cuts didn't happen quite as expected. Do you know if there is a way to cut specifying a minimum noise? I tried the threshold:audio parameter but it didn't work. Thank you|!
Loved this tutorial, Thanks for saving my ttime

@@Ali.abdlkareem Bro I am getting error after importing xml file into Da vinci Resolve, please let me know how to resolve it. Not properly importing media files are not bisible and shows up in red color in timeline
@@connectwithmayank hi there, try to import the original media file first and then import the xml file hope that helps!
@@Ali.abdlkareem Did not work, Thanks for looking into it though
@@connectwithmayank that's weird you must be missing something it works fine for me. try to export it for premiere or final cut rather than davinci resolve
Like --export premiere
davinci says clips were not found when Im trying to import. no matter what I do it can't find those source files
OKAY. it turns out they now added special export for resolve. using it works
@@Ali.abdlkareem Wow. thanks for quick answer! as I said changing export to resolve helped. anyway thx for great video! I subbed :D
@@nikro7239 glad to hear that. And always happy to help.
IT KEEPS TELLING ME DAVINCI RESOLVE SUPPORTS FINAL CUT PRO X XML 1.3-1.8 NOT LETTING ME USE IT.
Nice, it lags my computer out because it makes so many cuts
I changed the margin, made the cuts worse but also didn't improve performance
It seems to work great I just can't run it well
and now the paid version is $75
I would still not recommend it though. since exporting in final cut or DaVinci gives you more control over your exported footage and quality.
i have problem that type MEDIA OFFLINE how can i fix it, the program cant read the code, help !!!
I removed siliences from a vertical video by using xml method but it croped the video and disturbed dimensions of video 🤔
Yes because when you import the xml file, there will be a pop up window to set up the xml settings so you have to change its properties to match it with your timeline!
It's like magic!
Thank you very much!
Indeed!
You're welcome 😊
it works, thank you!
you saved my time
Glad it worked, always happy to help! 😊
Can this be used for adobe premiere ?
Yes, it works on Premiere!
My Final Cut pro will not import the fcpxml file. It's using 1.10 xml version and my file is 1.11. How do i Export my Auto-editor file using 1.10 instead of 1.11?
'auto-editor' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
It gives this warning in the xml section. please help me
Please make sure you add python to path when you first install it.
So uninstall python and reinstall it again, but this time make sure you add it to path just like I did in the video. Hope this helps :)
how can I make it so it keeps multiple audio tracks separate?
Incredably helpfull. Fabulously usefull. Thank you very much.
Glad it was helpful!
do you have any simpler way by only using capcut to cut out silences?
I'm not sure if CapCut can cut out silences, but I know that filmora 12 can! It has a one time payment.
Also if you want a free tool that can cut out silences try VREW : th-cam.com/video/WKlOi8YcnYc/w-d-xo.html
it has some other cool features as well! 😊
@@Ali.abdlkareem gret bro.. thanks a lot this is a great AI tool
@@Suhaillah Glad it helped 😊
mine worked if i added the type of video after the file name, example: video.mp4
Man, this is insane. Thanks
i like the idea, but it does not work to me. It removes fragments with sound, while it keeps some silence moments :(
Oh that's because you need to adjust the silence detection please refer to the manual for more information, you can basically change when to cut the silence etc. Use this for example:
auto-editor example.mp4 --margin 0.2sec
This will add 0.2sec margin, you can change the 0.2sec to your liking.
For more details refer to this manual here: github.com/WyattBlue/auto-editor
Also you can use this command for for more features:
auto-editor --help
This will show you all the things you can do with this tool.
Hope this helps 🙏 let me know if you have any questions 😊
I don't understand how to use the margin, is it in the same line ? Before, after ?
It should be at the end of the command line, please check the manual on how to use it. The link is in the description 😊
@@Ali.abdlkareem I managed to do it thank you !
how do i edit a video with multiple audio tracks?

I'm very stuck at xml, I'm trying to edit a audio wav format 48khz
when i try to export in premiere it tells audio stream 0 etc..etc..
try
--sample-rate 480000 and/or -fps 30
when i do that it gives me the xml file but it doesn't have any audio it just blank file
it do have all the cuts needed and everything but the expect the audio..!
I keep getting an error message saying could not find file ??
Hi there, try having the xml file and the video file together in the same folder, then import the original video file first to davinci resolve, after that import the xml file. That should work 😊
@@Ali.abdlkareem Hey thanks for the quick reply! So im at the step at 3:57 , I havent got the XML file yet. I had a long vlog from multiple different videos so I exported that from premiere pro as one big MP4 file and thats the video im trying to have it remove the silence from

@@MattNixonVisuals hey there, what seems to be the issue? Still not able to get the XML file?
@@MattNixonVisuals if you're stuck at step 3:57 there is a weird fix, instead of typing the command manually try to just copy it from the manual and past it in the command line just like I did in the video, It happened to me that when I type it manually sometimes it just doesn't work, but when I just copy paste it it works, weird I know but it might work, try it and let me know! 😊
what happends if the autoeditor options thing doesnt work?
You must have python installed incorrectly on your PC I'd recommend deleting it and reinstalling it again and make sure you have the latest version and have the add to PATH checked, just like I did in the video, then re-install AutoEditor again and see if that works! 😊
thanks, Brother your Video is Really Helpful
Hey, I'm getting "Clip not Found error" When I import the XML file into Davinci any help?
Hey, try to have the XML file together with the original video in the same folder, then import the original video into DaVinci then import the XML file. that way it'll be easier for DR to read the XML file. Hope that helps.
I had the same problem, but I saw that on githhub there was a new command for DR
what is the new command?

when i exported to premire it just gave me the footages all cut up but it was just a nested seqence, any ideas?
I think for premiere you should not drag and drop the XML file instead right click on the media panel inside of premiere then import the XML that way. Let me know if that works
@@Ali.abdlkareem nvm i already got it fixed, thank you!
@@mintedvr Awesome 😎
Sooooo helpful, great tool you gave me. Thanks a lot
Glad it helped!
Thank you for this video. This will speedup my workflow.
Which attribute under --export is best for davinci resolve? Is "premiere" the best option like what you did in your video?
Checking the available choices: doing "auto-editor --export --help" got me:
default : Export as usual
premiere : Export as an XML timeline file for Adobe Premiere Pro
final-cut-pro : Export as an XML timeline file for Final Cut Pro
shotcut : Export as an XML timeline file for Shotcut
json : Export as an auto-editor JSON timeline file
audio : Export as a WAV audio file
clip-sequence : Export as multiple numbered media files
Hello there, glad you find it useful. I used the same option for premiere pro. Honestly it doesn't matter because the xml file is a non-destructive file, which means it's not yet rendered so it's not going to effect the quality of your video.
@@Ali.abdlkareem I see thank you! Did you experience though that the split clips are not linked with the video and audio?
@@the.salaryman not really, I get them synced. Try to check if the frame rate of your timeline matches the frame rate of your video or something

same issue for me, did u ever figure it out? i tried as said below and still did not work. also reinstalled python completely and double checked environment variables too
its not working for me, saying
"Error! Could not find 'test.mp4'"
Bro can you help please
Hi there, instead of typing the command, try copying it and paste it into the command line that should work, just exactly like I did in the video! When I tried to type it manually it gives me the same error as you mentioned but sometimes it works, but when I just copy it from the manual and paste it, it always work. Give it a try and let me know!
@@Ali.abdlkareem update, it got fixed....it worked with manual typing.....actually my file was saved as "test.mp4", so actually I had to type the name of file in command as test.mp4.mp4, and yeah later it worked....but there was a catch, the XML file generated only worked for premiere, the XML file for davinci should "media offline"
@@rajneesh8960 oh that's great, well to fix that issue for davinci resolve, try having the original video file and the xml file in the same folder on your PC, and then import the original video file to davinci resolve first, then import the xml file after, that way davinci resolve knows where to get the data from! Hope that works!
Will try it
