    It might’ve only been a 2 year rivalry, but you could see how much these two teams didn’t like each other. That’s what made this brief 2 year rivalry so much fun to watch because it was intense and there was legitimate bad blood mostly because of Game 5 Inning 7.

    That call made complete sense. Nobody was interfering, it was a live ball. Toronto's fans were just being salty. I won't complain though cause it gave us the most epic half inning in postseason history, and the greatest homerun/bat flip EVER.

    • @rowdybeast0809
      @rowdybeast0809 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You gotta understand tho, that was a win or go home situation, and that call, even though it was right, could've lost us everything. We hadn't experienced a postseason game in a long time, and our first chance back could've been ruined by a dumb call. Obviously the call was right, but imagine going out by that cheap of a play

      @@rowdybeast0809 yeah I'm not saying y'all were being unfair. I'm a Pirates fan, so believe me when I say I know how huge every game can be. I just don't see the point in booing the umps (who were flawless all game, I've never seen a team work that well under that kind of pressure) just cause a call didn't go your way. Disappointment? Sure. Boos and shouts, not so much.

      @Flexb123 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@nflmlbclassics Its only behind Kawhi's shot because Jays didn't win it all. That jays game was way more electric and intense. Even the sometimes biased MLB.com writers said it was the most emotionally charged game they had ever seen. But that batflip was so big for baseball, it created a movement "let the kids play, stemmed from that. Batlfip and big HR celebrations happen so much more now because of that and each one if compared to Jose's batflip. Its the benchmark. One of the MLB.com writers even said had Jays have won it all that year, Jose's batflip would be MLB logo for decades to come. Its a shame they didn't make it past the next round cause they were good enough to win it all. Just didn't get lucky enough vs KC.

    What a seventh inning. Just so much emotion and tempers flaring and the Rangers not being able to operate even a routine play. Look, I get that the audience didn't get the two "controversial" calls to go their way (even though neither was really disputable), but the audience needs to keep their emotions in check as much as the players do. Stop throwing beer bottles and enjoy the game. And then there's the issue with Encarnacion trying to calm down the audience and causing a brawl in the process. I get it, he was trying to do the right thing, he just chose the wrong time to do it. And then on top of that, there was one of the most memorable moments in Jose Bautista's career. That seventh inning will always be known for The Bat Flip, not the stuff that led up to it and maybe that's for the best.

    There needs to be a 30 for 30 episode on this game especially that 7th inning but knowing ESPN they probably won't do it since they hate Toronto just look at the Raptors how many times they've diss the Raptors with their silly predictions lol

      He had just allowed a three run jack, of course he was flustered. To be honest, I don't blame him for it with everything that was going on around him. The beer bottles, the errors, and then the jack.

    Even more disappointing that the Royals won over the Mets that year.

    Never gets old. EVER. We were robbed in the ALCS by bad umpiring, but we will always have this game and the 7th inning.

      The better team won

    • @martinarden9705
      @martinarden9705 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@brannonkelley8147: not in 2015. KC was a good team, but they had a LOT of help that way. Even FOX called out the umps (see the home run that the fan yanked over the fence in game 6).

    • @martinarden9705
      @martinarden9705 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @cacable7: the dozen runs can be explained by Game 4. That game, yeah, we deserved to lose. No question about it. In at least two of the games (game 2 and 6), though, officiating played a role. 2016? Cleveland was the better team in that one. The 2015 ALCS is tainted. It just is.

    • @martinarden9705
      @martinarden9705 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @cacable7: you brought up the 12-run difference, not me. The entirety of that difference can be explained by one game. The rest of it was two teams who were evenly matched, albeit in two very different ways. I'm not saying KC was a bad team; far from it. They were a very good team that year, arguably a great team. I'm saying that we don't know, and never will know, who the better team was because of officiating. That's just the reality of the situation. Sometimes it happens in sports.

    • @martinarden9705
      @martinarden9705 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @cacable7: have it your way. Be a KC homer. All the same to me.

      Kansas City had a better bullpen while the Jays had no left handed reliever at all. Cleveland snuffed them out between guys like Cody Allen, Corey Kluber, and especially Andrew Miller.
