i recently fell and evicted the Holy Spirit from my heart. And now I see many videos in my recommended section popping up, mostly prayers and videos that point to going back to Jesus. And now this. And I cried, I imagined Jesus, seeing me selling myself to slavery and I see and imagine Him looking at me with warmth and compassion and I looked away to the ground. And I imagined His hands grabbing my chained arm and He took on the penalties of my spiritual poverty and suffered for my sake. Now I saw Him. half naked in chains, in pain, and I couldn't say a word. I slowly went up to Him and He looked at me, and I just... I couldn't take seeing Him like that. I cried and Imagined mama Mary being there seeing His Son suffering and it made me grieve more. I just went to confession last week and I already fell away, again.. I keep grieving His heart. Again. Im so sorry, im so sorry for hurting your Beloved. I am so sorry. Please. Please. Pray for me.
Never never never give up. With every fall say... Lord without your grace I will continue to do the same. Keep getting up. Keep doing your mental prayer. Humility is your victory.

Mental prayer. Have the scene make an impression. Feel impassioned. Very. Perhaps play the role of a numb roman soldier hurting Christ Or for a moment imagine you getting whipped to get into the moment When genuflecting at church, imagine the face of Christ. (Incorporate the imagination).
Especially any imagining of a scene doesn't work for me. I lack such imagination. And if I manage it at least vaguely, it hardly makes an impression and I can't sustain it. I can't also imagine the pain. Definitely related to that I could never write or come up with a story, imagine a landscape in any detail to paint etc. - only something very miserable when forced to. When I'm somewhere out, I tend to miss many details and things around me and don't remember them and am and prefer to be just absorbed in the overall "atmosphere". I guess some people are just like that. Or maybe they need to get "fixed". Sometimes I manage to get into prayer like that when lead by others or when focusing on the abstract things, not the scene.
Me too. I have never been able to watch the passion, I cannot look at graphic images of the scourging or the crucifixion. I become nauseated and dizzy and have to turn away. The stations of the cross always bothered me as a child as well.
You must. St. Teresa of Avila says that the most fruitful prayer and meditation is meditation on the passion. Even if you can't see it... hear it. Look at the reactions of the crowds. Don't skip it.
I wish I could always do mental prayer with you. every time you give those prayer meditations they becomes some of the most fruitful times in my prayer life. Thank you so much for all that you do, and for all that you let Mary do in you. The holy spirit is working over time in this man. its crazy

Thank you- you just reminded me how in CCD, my mother would have us do a meditation where we imagined Jesus sitting a the base of a tree; I think she got this meditation from somewhere- I was able to use this at times when I felt afraid, but nowadays I feel a need to make time and effort for more mental prayer. Stay the course everyone!

Even though my teenager son doesn’t have the best disposition he is still listening to every night…please pray for him …any advice when our family members are not too much into this consecration? Can we still parents consecrate them? Our teenagers?
My advice is keep going. Let him be. As long as he is participating and as long as he says the words of consecration... and you keep watering his soul with prayer and sacrifices for him... Our Lady will give birth to Christ in his Soul and she will truly be his mother and she will make him into Christ.
